I think you should look for a steeper section that it's by Ladera Ridge. You go all the way up, and then it connects with Las Flores Ridge, it's super steep and technical and rocky. I'm always up there!
@@luisarodriguez9136 Are you talking about Rage? I have that video coming out soon. Rage is much longer and feels like a trail, yet Balls Steep / Ladera Falls is just a short connector. I've heard of but never ridden a short trail that connects Ladera Ridge down to the Water Tower near Crown Valley.
@@luisarodriguez9136 I use Strava, trailforks, and mtbproject to help learn the trails. They are often changing. My Rage video will come out today or tomorrow.
I would've never thought that our trail would see the light of day on UA-cam, I built balls steep with some buds back in 2014, looks like its getting some traffic and looks good
That entrance is right off Antonio Rd. It's just towards Crown Valley from the Waterworks entrance. Be careful, those jumps change often and many of them are gaps.
I rode by Goose the other day...to find the new trail do you start down Goose? I saw and entrance under a different tree not far from there. I also saw two exits at the bottom between Goose and Edge and Ledge.
Hey Brett. So the new trail off Goose actually comes off The beginning Of Goose. The rain has washed it out completely so I tried to clean it up a bit but it not rideable right now. Not sure about the other stuff going on right now. Seems like some new trails are getting build so I’ll keep you informed with what’s happening if I see things. Also I rode C drop 2 days ago and it has a massive hole in the middle of the trail about half way down. I filled it up as best as I could but be careful if you intend on riding it. Cheers!!!
@@tatapaul7109 Wow, thank you. You are a trail angel for all the updates and work. I wish I had my weed wacker because so much stuff is getting overgrown.
@@tatapaul7109 Thanks for the update. I looked for it and didn't see anything. Then, today I saw a sign next to the Goose Trailhead, but it didn't lead anywhere. The dirt is really good right now, I hope you are getting to ride it.
Hey Mate! I did notice that the entrance to the new trail off Goose is not there anymore and the new piece isn’t rideable at all so I’m not sure what’s going on for now. I do apologize for misleading information Mate and yes, I’m enjoying the dirt, sun and riding solo for now...lol!
I wouldn't mind Waterworks becoming a one way trail. There are so many trails in the area. I am working on another video sharing some of the unknown options.

Thanks for the compliment :) I was thinking about riding this section the other day. Have you been on it lately?

And it takes you all the way down to that section under the bridge that connects with spitfire

I think you’re water bottle is at the top of rage .I put it on sign post .👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you. That sign is like a lost and found. I've found stuff left behind there before. It isn't mine so I hope whoever lost it finds it.
So that’s how they get to that steep roller that connects down to waterworks. Good to know!
Very few people ride from the top. Most of the people hike up the side just for the jump. It's easy to miss.

Thanks for all your trail work. Waterworks needs some love after the county has come in and destroyed stuff....
Hey, I'm new to Ladera and am trying to scope out the trails. At 2:03, where was the entrance to the jump area?

I can't believe I never saw that trail before....Thanks for finding it
I missed it over 300 times LOL
you're correct - that's a steep trail; I bailed the 1st time
LOL it's kinda a slip and slide, then there's the turn with the tree/bush
Perfect video - thank you
Thank you for watching and commenting...I haven't checked this trail in awhile, I bet it is a bit loose
What kinda freehub is that, sounds like Stan's
Bontrager, 54 tooth rapid drive or a DTSwiss 350 with the upgraded teeth. I don't remember which rear wheel I had on the bike when I shot this.
skippd the booter???
Yes, I really like jumping but I need to pick my battles.....LOL
That trail is to the right of Spitfire?
Yes, you can ride the berms then take a hard turn onto the trail.
Super 👍
Thanks for watching

What bike rack is that you have
My main rack is the 1up. I have a single tray and two add-ons.
3:25 ....got to love it That trail does look steep, but there is that tree to catch you
I think I figured it out. There are small turns in the trail that set up up correctly. I skipped them and almost ended up in the tree. LOL

1:50 you totally should've hit that jump!!!
You are totally right! It has a very forgiving landing. I am still horrible at gauging speeds for jumps...
