Tango, while the dungeon is resetting, could you use villagers to attempt to bait the ravegers around psuedo-randomly. This could help with the ravengers bunching up at the start and turrning every run into a two second blood bath.

All the years I have enjoyed the Hermits and one of the most wonderful moments that brought a smile to my face is when Tango says "Is Cleo a Critter?" Half the bloody world are Critters! We are everywhere!
@@artcatdraws4203I think so if not then I have no clue what other things he’s referencing. Especially with the situation where Cleo said “hells bells” and tango immediately said “is she a critter”
Thoughts on the gambling w/coins: Maybe leave the crowns as is, but discard extra gold, and have a separate machine that gives a small chance for frost embers. This means hermits will have use for the extra coins that doesn't reduce the impact of crowns, and also allows hermits to gamble on that one extra frost ember they might need - forcing them to choose between a risk and guarantee. You might also consider having a similar machine for the extra keys, which currently are just useless for hermits not going to level 2, and are instead occuring in place of otherwise useful treasure.
Tango, i got overwhelmed by my real life a while ago and lost my energy watching HC, but your game just injected a new wave of passion and energy and now im watching all the hermits having fun playing your game as well as you having fun watching the hermits having fun playing your game, which makes me have fun watching you having fun watching the hermits having fun playing your game!
I CANNOT WAIT until the hermit map is released this season. I'm planning on making a decked out server and maintaining it. I plan to turn adventure mode on so people can't destroy stuff and keep updating the game, expand the shop options, make more levels over time, more cards, ect.
29:50 - "When I helped with the wardens and you gave me two shards, I had no idea of the value of a shard" That is pretty funny... The perceived value of those shards is just skyrocketing as people play.
So thankful that you posts this on UA-cam, really appreciate how you cared about us who lives in different time zones and may have missed your streams :) Thank you Tango, for making and sharing Decked Out 2 with the hermits and the fans :)
Tbf, you can watch the vods on twitch for a while after the stream, but playback on youtube still works better. The biggest perk to watching the vod on twitch is the chat replay.
@@CyanideGirl94 Oh ok thank you, I just rarely use Twitch nowadays, in fact I haven't been using it like months now. Its like I forgot the vods there exists hahah thank you for reminding me though.
I think there were concerns for the dungeon lackey producing a lot of clank. What if you toggle sneak and just have yourself sneak the entire run while being the lackey? Maybe wear curse of vanishing+swift sneak leather pants too if it gets too slow. It would add a bit of challenge to the lackey because the player has to wait for them to catch up and overall increasing their time. It makes the lackey a limited use thing because chances are the ravagers will catch him before the player, and there's some lore in there because the perma sneaking reminds me of Igor, Frankenstein's hunched back minion.
Would love to see the other hermits commentating on your runs like you do on theirs if you do a player day. Let them give you a taste of your own medicine to boost player morale lol
After all your hard work I think you actually playing the game is a good idea,it's a bit of fun for you and laughter for us...Seeing all the Hermits playing DO2 has been so much fun,You Have built an Epic game in the Hermitcraft World Give yourself a Pat on the back you've earned it..And a Rest!❤
agreed. I know he wants to do test runs with specific cards, but he could also play properly and build up his own "survival" deck through and just not submit any tomes.
Tango and the other hermits are killing my productivity with all this decked out content, and im lovin every single upload. Well done Tango on all your hard work.
I dont think i can fully quantify how much i love these stream vods showcasing everyones runs. I may have an addiction to watching the hermits get their butts munched by ravagers and the delight they take in victory
Perminent card that gives you a rabbit and a lead at the start of the dungeon. Ravengers are afraid of rabbits, but it's inconsistent and dragging that thing through the dungeon will cause so much funny content.
@@lightshadow2707I don't think it would last indefinitely--Minecraft rabbits don't seem to have much self-preservation, and there are plenty of places where one could take fall damage or just wander into a berry bush. But I do agree that you can't predict when there will no longer be a bunny in the dungeon.
Vexes may not be too dangerous on their own, but you have to run to avoid them which makes avoiding the ravages harder, especially when hazard is high too! I think they work overall, but maybe not as much as you hoped for.
I’m so proud for Tango, I know he is enjoying looking at a job well done! Anyone who put as much time and effort into perfecting something as cool as Deckedout 2.0 deserves to sit back and enjoy watching the hermits have a go at it ;)

Really wish there was a mod that would put deck out 2 in a MC world so i could play with friends and have all the progression the hermits will get to experience as the game goes on.
I missed a lot of the opening weekend so I had to watch the vods. As a result this comment will contain questions and points from different streams from the weekend. - First of, the hermits addiction to the game is the best reception that you could have gotten, it is so fun that the response has been so positive and that the months of work is paying of. This is an incredible game. - The second to last card on the common side of the card shop does not appear when the shop is cycled after use, I think that it's the Suit up card. It either lacks the token for it in the dropper randomiser or the filter is not set to accept the token. I don't know if the card is supposed to be available but as there is a prize set for it I'm assuming that it is supposed to show up. This will not be a problem for a while but it's better to check it now. - On the effectiveness of vex, I agree that the vex are not as good as hoped. They are not that much of a direct threat as they can largely be avoided by moving, the real danger of this is that hermits may be forced to run into ravagers. Combined with the stress from the heartbeat and the halt in treasure and embers it does inform the hermit that they are not welcome any more. Right now they are threatening but in time hermits will realize that they might not be that dangerous if you know where they spawn. Currently the real value of the vex is as an area denial system. The image of a hermit running from vex, evoker fangs and ravagers is both exciting and tense though. Perhaps increasing the probability of evokers being revealed slightly would make the effect of max clank more noticeable, this wouldn't fix the core problem of the vex though. If you really want to punish the players for maxing out the clank, perhaps an evoker per stairway between level 1 and 2? With a long sight line and the narrow corridor the vex might be more effective. - An idea stolen from the Titancraft version of DO1, have a bell near the start area that rings 5 or 10 seconds after the game starts. Have it placed so that it only highlights potential ravagers in the first 30 blocks or so, just to give the hermits slightly more information about the staring area and to avoid the situation that happened to Cub and Etho. -- Please make dyed leather armour an ingredient for a legendary card in the forge, to make Joe's statement true. I know that armour is unstackable so it would be a pain to implement but it would be so fun to have. Referencing the moment at 1:02:30. - The new berry bush in the camp area isn't ravager proofed, granted that ravagers tend to avoid berry bushes and that it's a dead end it may not need proofing. But as the wall is 2,5 blocks high it's a place where a ravager can get stuck if does enter the block. - I love the idea of Tango running the dungeon one stream per week. - The "Tango, you have a map" moment was great. The start of a counter argument and the pause of realization was just perfect. - I now understand why Tango won't hand out more keys, he wants to have some time when he can actually do work in the dungeon. - Which hermit will set up a compass school? - The jump boost only jump in the south wing (by the pond chest) can be traversed without jump boost, Grian managed it in one of his runs. He managed to jump from the right side. - Items on the jump boost only platform in the crypt can still slide close enough to the edge to be picked up from bellow. Gem managed to pick up a key this way. It needs some non sliding blocks to stop the items sliding too far. - With the new free key jump boost area I'm starting to get worried that jump boost will be almost mandatory. Granted that if you want the jump boost quickly you need a smaller deck to make sure that you get it, this is more suited for speed run players so it would encourage the different playstiles as desired. - One of the artefact stations in the north wing still has ice connecting the hopper location to where the artefact pops up, meaning that the artefact can slide into the hopper and trigger 3 more clank. - Loved Grian's annoyance that the ravagers can run past the chain trap. - Some hermits started looking at the cards available in the shop this stream, to see what they could buy in the future and to start planning their decks. That makes me very happy as they are planning for the long haul. - For this first round of the game you may want to relax the condition that a hermit has to hand in a victory tome to get more keys as some hermits are struggling to get artefacts worth enough to get a tome with. - Congratulations to your employment offer as Scarland handyman Tango, may I suggest that instead of the diamond pay yo get a new redstone box every month? - I honestly love the cooperative spirit of paying it forward, even though it does diminish the feeling that you must have 4 coins to get a crown. If you do decide on making a gambling system for the coins, make it optional so that hermits can opt out of a chance based system if they want to. - How will you deal with the score board if it fills up? Will you have to move it back so that it can become bigger? - The hermits chatting in Pearls stream were very confused about the weekly distribution of new shards and the requirement for a victory tome for more shards. There may be a need for clarification internally (if it hasn't been clarified already). - For the commemorative artefacts, please make it so that there is some sort of extra challenge to get a commemorative artefact out from the dungeon. Just something that makes it so that you cant get a commemorative artefact without having to see a ravager as some of the easiest compass spots are. A specific token or something. (I know that I have commented about this before, that is why I keep it short on the subject) (Reposting about the level controller again, as I still feel like it need to be changed, some new parts to compensate for the needs of the fluffy bunny card) -- The new walkway does alleviate my concerns about the level controller somewhat, but in your conversation with Etho (1:45:30) you mentioned my other big concern. If a hermit have gotten their level 1 artefact wants to explore level 2 to find Easter eggs or get better treasures, they can't as the level controller will no longer go down a floor and no treasure would drop on level 2. This will be more of a concern now that hermits are beginning to want to go to level 2, if they get a level 1 artefact, get a key and still have treasure cards to play, the might want to go down for the better treasure. The current solution is to go down to level 2 first and only go for the artefact on the way back but this would still place the dungeon to level 3 as the active level on the way back. This still feels like you have to plan around the limitations of the level controller rather than the level controller following you. There is a relatively simple way to change the current increment based level controller to a version that is based on the actual floor that the player is entering. It could be both more reliable and have a greater flexibility, allowing a player to change floors more freely. In short, the system is like an airlock where the last doors that the player have passed through will signal which floor will be active. For between levels 1/2 and 2/3, each stairway have two sets of doors, the ones at the top that need to be unlocked to go down and another set at the bottom. The lower ones are opened by a button and are free to pass through. Opening the doors at the bottom would send a signal to the level controller that the player is now on the lower of the levels. Opening the top doors would tell the controller that the player is now at the upper level. When going from level 1 to level 2 the controller would first be informed that the player is on level one, the current one so no change, then the player is on level 2, the new level. This way, the last set of doors that are used will always be the active floor as that will be the last signal that the level controller receives. This would require two redstone lines per stairway so it's a bit more work but it should be more reliable. For the path between levels 3 and 4 you have two separate one way paths, signalling when one of them is used would work. In practical terms for the control system, keep the pistons that power the different treasure lines, but to select which piston to be extended use a system like the difficulty selector that the players use to select their difficulty. At this has a potential to break the system for the fluffy bunny system (I'm unsure about how that system is implemented), there would have to be a subsystem to identify the first time that a new level is unlocked. Using dropper / hopper systems that have a single item in them could send signals for when a new level is activated (Similar to the way that you turn hazard doors on). A comparator on the hopper and an observer on that comparator would send the signal when the hooper receives the item, Lock the hopper with the game on line. One of these for each floor 2-4 could give you the signals needed for the fluffy bunny card. This would take a few hours to make but I think that it might be good for later when the runs become more complicated. For instance when the black market is implemented hermits might want to choose a relatively simple artefact to reduce the risk of loosing the crowns that they bring with them into the dungeon. If you implement this system it would be possible to close the passage again, making the choice of doors to go through important again. If the road is blocked you would have to go back up and get another key to go down the other way.
Doubt this will be seen, but I would like to add one thing. - The wall that requires double jump behind the berry bush in the lava room in the crypt, is technically jumpable without. You can jump onto the block on the right of the berry bush with the 2 walls on top, and if you time it right, or crouch to the edge and jump and press forward at the same time, you can jump to the wall on the left of the bush and then just walk over the jump boost wall.
An idea for the crowns conversion. Have a gamble in the dungeon (like the black market last time) with better odds, but difficult to get to, AND a conversion in the ember shop with slight worse odds and the hermits can choose which one to take. You could even make the one in the black market a gamble as well
59:28 The way the ravager's head followed joe as he fell down the exit hole :D Also Ive never watched JoeHillSays before but found his run of decked out very entertaining plus hes super polite. Im going to go sub to his channel
ive just nonstop been watching these videos everyday in my break literally just wondering where i have been this whole time! not only is decked out so fun and interesting to watch from people gathering what they know to piece it all together to just pure chaos and laughter, its all so great! I, for some reason had no clue you had a second account, i cant wait to binge all the content of it 😂
i have discovered that the difficulty setting needs a few more options, it needs a setting just for Stress, and one just for Scar, and surprisingly apparently one just for Ren.
not me binging all these restreams because i wanna watch your perspective for all of these runs before jumping into the other hermits decked out 2 content!
You should do a happy hour type thing once a week, where everyone that shows up gets 3 entries into decked out but they are forced to run them immediately. Might be a way to get people on and playing for the last day of a week, and could be great for streams.
I think if you want to give the two doors some importance, putting that shrieker in the middle is a good call... maybe even a couple. Then if they want to switch over, they HAVE TO generate more clank, or at least take more time going through, b/c they have to sneak.
It was all fantastic but the best moment for me was when you had that beautiful helmet put on you. I love to crochet and it is just beautifully done!! If she has an instagram I want it!! Just made my day!!
The pay it forward thing, there is literally no reason not to unless you hate your seevermates. It gains them nothing to let them rot but if they cache up with them it may help them out in the future. Also the obly way to find out if you benefit from someone else paying it forward is to potentially pay it forward to the next person. There is no incentive to not do it and every incentive to do it.
I like Gem's idea of having a thing in the crown shop being 1 crown. Maybe artifact replicas in the shop that rotate through for the collector's on the server?
Might be to late, but as an idea for the connecting tunnel. The crypt is a place of resting souls in sarcophagus. One other thing that can be found there is a place to rest the big bones of previous inhabitants or a columbarium where urns rest of the more poor people. So Maybe just 4 stacks of hermit skulls in the middle. I heard Gem has some Etho heads for spare...
It would be a gigantic headache to pull it off, but for the artifact related to the hermit gimmick, you could give each one of them a character card, and make a system where if a hermit's artifact is relinquished when their card is on the system, boom, gimmick ensue. I have absolutely no idea on how to do this with redstone tho
1:39:10 I love how Etho has spent 11 minutes asking the hard questions that relate directly to a strategy before entering the dungeon so he can figure out how to min-max the game. Know the rules so you know how to break them.
Tango, to prevent people from interfering with the armor stands from the store, would you consider placing transparent glass panes over the snow blocks? And also, signs with downward arrows pointing towards the shulker boxes, or would those get removed by the shulker opening? I'm sorry to see you so tired from all the Decked Out action going on. If you need to rest for one day I know the hermits would understand and hold their shards. Their response to the game opening has been so overwhelmingly positive that it is a testament to your genius creating this game, and to your dedication to making it all work in (mostly) vanilla fashion.
It's probably not going to be relevant again any time soon, but for the small room near the end you could do a slightly raised 2x2 with a armour stand statue in there. Cleo could even make a little ravager :)
Tango, you should be as happy as you are about it. Youve created "the best game inside another game." Which also happens to be in one of the best games (Minecraft). Like people have been saying: Omega outta 10.
If you still want suggestions for that transfer room you built, get your old skin on and grab a head, then have Cleo put old Tango in a cage, imprisoned by the Dungeon Master.
Ive been watching all of the decked out videos while at work and at home since i saw that it finally opened up! I love watching everyone play and enjoy themselves. Cant wait til all the viewers have access to the world download so my friends and i can enjoy it just the same.

These VODs are so fun to watch!! It's really great seeing how each hermit is adapting to the dungeon. Haven't seen these runs today yet, but I reckon Gem and Grian could be dark horses to do pretty well!
Watching these vods has been awesome! I was a few weeks late to the party which meant there was a large back-log of content for me to watch while programming :) Congrats on the launch! This one is something to be proud of.
Tango it'll be fun if you trigger a certain amount of clank, a box of witch or skeleton opened (like one block tall opened, and they can shoot player through it. Makes the player get dmged more
I think you should definitely play on your own and build up a deck I think it will be really fun for you to play and for us to watch! Also, I'd really love to see Mrs. Tango get to run the game on a backup world, also it would be really fun to see Skizz play as well! And I mean if that rift opened and we got some visitors some time in the middle that would be wild and delightful!
If the card trading idea becomes a problem, you could make a rule that (card) trading is only allowed between phases. That way cards can only benefit one hermit at a time, and they also have something to do while you rework the redstone for the next phase.
I've been watching all these vod uploads and have to say how much I enjoy Tango's POV. Shame I cant catch the actual streams but wanted to say a massive thanks to Tango for investing so much time and energy into making such an amazing game! can't wait to see it develop further as the players build their decks and hit the lower levels
i feel like you should make a Community Ember Trade where you can put your spare embers in there and all the hermits gain an item or a card if you reach a certain goal (like 50-100) that way they don't feel like they're wasting their embers if they only have 1 or 2 left over or don't want moment of clarity if they only get 6 embers
2:44:00 What if dungeon lacky was more "eye in the sky" and like you know how you usually stream and mute? What if you could guide them and give them hints or monster evasion? OR if it became a card. When that card is played, you then unmute and coach them for like 20-30 seconds
Loved the look on your face when you checked the number of plays....in just 3 days. People love your game and I personally can't wait to play it myself. Its ridiculously good, and weve barely got to see the second level. @@artcatdraws4203I think so if not then I have no clue what other things he’s referencing. Especially with the situation where Cleo said “hells bells” and tango immediately said “is she a critter”
Yes, I am very sweet!
The problem is that it
might end up being a problem where everyone just gamble all there coins for frostembers.
It could be set up in such a way that only the excess coins roll that chance. But also it could roll for an extra crown instead of frost embers
bad idea
Grian and Cleo's idea might be fun for one run *after* the game is over. Everyone pools the 40 best cards out there for one perfect run.
@@hawks3109you have fun with that

That is pretty funny...

We love watching hermits die too! It's so nice that you're dropping these on UA-cam afterwards.
It makes the lackey a limited use thing because chances are the ravagers will catch him before the player, and there's some lore in there because the perma sneaking reminds me of Igor, Frankenstein's hunched back minion.
omg that one etho run where the whole animal kingdom was chasing him. epic.

You are a true legend!
Propably wouldn't work cuz if the hermit dies the bunny would stay and keep scaring the ravengers
Thank you for streaming these runs, super fun. Man, seeing Etho play decked out is insane
I’m so proud for Tango, I know he is enjoying looking at a job well done! Anyone who put as much time and effort into perfecting something as cool as Deckedout 2.0 deserves to sit back and enjoy watching the hermits have a go at it ;)
grian casually chatting with tango about information that could really help other runners.
Keep these coming Tango loving seeing the strategies of all the hermits! Ridiculously good game my friend 🎉
Tango, you have created a thing of beauty. You have given enjoyment to everyone who see or participates in this game. Thank you for all the hard work and dedication. 🥰
Yet again, my favorite part about this is the thumbnail! A happy and excited Tango, getting to see all of his hardwork, in action!! Great Job Tango!!
Tango - whenever I watch your vids I shake my head in awe and amazement. What you've created here with Decked Out is truely incredible. What a ride! So great to watch your success and all the hermits enjoyment of this piece of art and technology you have created. Pat yourself on the back mate and be proud.
Really wish there was a mod that would put deck out 2 in a MC world so i could play with friends and have all the progression the hermits will get to experience as the game goes on.
Couldn’t been happier for you Tango. You’ve put in SO much hard work. I wish you all the success in the world. (And I’ll probably buy a desk mat too)
I missed a lot of the opening weekend so I had to watch the vods.
(I know that I have commented about this before, that is why I keep it short on the subject)
(Reposting about the level controller again, as I still feel like it need to be changed, some new parts to compensate for the needs of the fluffy bunny card)
-- The new walkway does alleviate my concerns about the level controller somewhat, but in your conversation with Etho (1:45:30) you mentioned my other big concern.
If the road is blocked you would have to go back up and get another key to go down the other way.
ayy the best debugging decked out commentor is back
Doubt this will be seen, but I would like to add one thing.
You could even make the one in the black market a gamble as well
That's a cool idea. Neato
Etho's 2nd run in this was crazy!! that was awesome :D
59:28 The way the ravager's head followed joe as he fell down the exit hole :D Also Ive never watched JoeHillSays before but found his run of decked out very entertaining plus hes super polite. Im going to go sub to his channel

Joe is an utter delight, he's one of the kindest humans, and his brain is a labyrinth of poetic weirdness and glorious tangents.

I love etho. He thinks so deeply about these things.
ive just nonstop been watching these videos everyday in my break literally just wondering where i have been this whole time!
not only is decked out so fun and interesting to watch from people gathering what they know to piece it all together to just pure chaos and laughter, its all so great! I, for some reason had no clue you had a second account, i cant wait to binge all the content of it 😂
i have discovered that the difficulty setting needs a few more options, it needs a setting just for Stress, and one just for Scar, and surprisingly apparently one just for Ren.
This makes for such entertaining TV! Decked Out has made HermitCraft my new fav MC server!
17:15 Grian flying toward the camera is unintentionally hilarious 😀
Yeah. I rewound that a couple of times. It was a hilarious animation because the way things went flying.
not me binging all these restreams because i wanna watch your perspective for all of these runs before jumping into the other hermits decked out 2 content!
Loving these third person runs. Thanks for the replays!
I'm so glad you enjoyed the launch weekend so much! You totally deserve all the success and happiness, congrats again!
Keralis armor stand magic falling into the void in DO1 was so funny
It was all fantastic but the best moment for me was when you had that beautiful helmet put on you. I love to crochet and it is just beautifully done!! If she has an instagram I want it!! Just made my day!!
I am so hyped to watch this vod!!!! Love seeing the hermits run the dungeon
Watching these streams has definitely been a highlight for me! Seeing how much fun you and the other Hermits are having is awesome
Name idea for the bookshelf: "Clarification Station"
It would be a gigantic headache to pull it off, but for the artifact related to the hermit gimmick, you could give each one of them a character card, and make a system where if a hermit's artifact is relinquished when their card is on the system, boom, gimmick ensue.
I have absolutely no idea on how to do this with redstone tho
1:39:10 I love how Etho has spent 11 minutes asking the hard questions that relate directly to a strategy before entering the dungeon so he can figure out how to min-max the game.
Know the rules so you know how to break them.
And then IMMEDIATELY dies
Tango, to prevent people from interfering with the armor stands from the store, would you consider placing transparent glass panes over the snow blocks? And also, signs with downward arrows pointing towards the shulker boxes, or would those get removed by the shulker opening?
I'm sorry to see you so tired from all the Decked Out action going on. If you need to rest for one day I know the hermits would understand and hold their shards. Their response to the game opening has been so overwhelmingly positive that it is a testament to your genius creating this game, and to your dedication to making it all work in (mostly) vanilla fashion.
Some armor stands that look like petrified hermits running in the connecting tunnel could be cool and work to fill the space.
If you still want suggestions for that transfer room you built, get your old skin on and grab a head, then have Cleo put old Tango in a cage, imprisoned by the Dungeon Master.
omg thats great I love it
Ive been watching all of the decked out videos while at work and at home since i saw that it finally opened up!

I was a few weeks late to the party which meant there was a large back-log of content for me to watch while programming :)
Congrats on the launch! This one is something to be proud of.
Tango it'll be fun if you trigger a certain amount of clank, a box of witch or skeleton opened (like one block tall opened, and they can shoot player through it. Makes the player get dmged more

Also, I'd really love to see Mrs. Tango get to run the game on a backup world, also it would be really fun to see Skizz play as well! And I mean if that rift opened and we got some visitors some time in the middle that would be wild and delightful!
There are some Empires folks that I would LOVE to see playing!
Less of a trade and more community event goal.
@@justinsmith5870 yeah yeah exactly lol
The quality of Decked Out 2 is the interest on Tango's promise to Hypno. Frozen shards are worth far more than the old Decked Out keys.
2:44:00 What if dungeon lacky was more "eye in the sky" and like you know how you usually stream and mute? What if you could guide them and give them hints or monster evasion? OR if it became a card. When that card is played, you then unmute and coach them for like 20-30 seconds
you deserved a sleep in. Seriously, thankyou. That whole weekend of streams was amazing. I watched start to finish both days.
I don't usually watch live stream length videos, but this has been addicting.. 0_0
The amount of times etho looks directly at Tango in freecam when talking is frankly amazing
You have to play! We'd all appreciated at least 30 hours of decked out every week. Thanks 😊
Loved the look on your face when you checked the number of plays....in just 3 days. People love your game and I personally can't wait to play it myself. Its ridiculously good, and weve barely got to see the second level. You out did your self Tango, I shudder to think of what you could do with a full tool kit at your hand and develop like a Minecraft Spinoff like Dungeons/Legends...."Minecraft: Decked Out". Mojang pay this man some money.

Also Grian: Ran right past a frost ember.
You deserve to play and e joy your creation in the same way as the Hermits are! 👍 👏👏👏
