When the burning dark is added, tango should also add a secret in the starting room. People will have gone through it so many times that they won't think about it, so if you change something subtly, it might take a while
Tango saying that "Many people know what the rusty repair kit is, some people don't. Let's keep it a secret." Made me realize that it is not a future thing, but a now thing and NOW I know what it is for. I'm excited for the first hermit to use it!
I think Etho getting 3 common instead of the +4 hazard block makes sense. Stability (+2 hazard block) costs 8 +4 costs 18 which is just more expensive but takes less space in the deck. But since everyone is so far from the max 40 card limit it makes more sense now to reach that limit first. Plus Etho probably stacking treasure hunters in order to afford more shards in the crown shop.
I also believe this is the right choice - having more cards in your deck is vital for the exploration, Etho's got this figured out. I was watching Hypno stream few hours before, at he had the same choice - buy 3 common cards or 1 uncommon, but chat pressured him into getting uncommon. The deck building aspect is actually REALLY interesting and I'm looking forward to seeing which strategy will come up on top. There are already pretty big differences in the decks, and we are not even done with the first week!
But all cards have a limit on how many you can put in your deck. Common cards are always available but uncommon cards are not. So I think it’s best to grab the uncommon card when you get the chance to, since you might not have another chance in the future
People in chat were complaining about "diluting" the deck, but they are forgetting that stumble cards exist. Having more cards total means less stumbling, so Etho definitely made the right choice.
Having more cards does dilute the deck though. Theres a possibility that a treasure hunter wont activate for 5 or so minutes which would be an issue when looking for a key

A good potential way to make Clank more dangerous: Every time the player generates Clank after Clank has reached its maximum, activate the Hazard line three times. Hazard kills, therefore Clank kills. In addition (though this would be harder to do) you could rig berry bush lighting to turn off when Clank is max, starving the player and shutting down their sprint to make the vexes deadlier.
If Tango is going to do some runs, he should totally do some challenge runs (like speedrunning, most coins/embers collected without cheese etc.) and put up a Bounty Board with his scores/times on for others to have an extra goal.
Do you know what would be TOTALLY rad and would drive the hermits insane? A ghost ravager. It could be an armor stand with a ravager model way over it, so it could be moved like the doors, but it would roam through walls and disappear or appear through the floor. For ambiance you could just add "friendly" NPCs with other models depending on the level: yetis, imps, literal ghosts... Those could be static in the corners, but could appear or disappear on a run by run basis.
Hey Tango! It makes so much sense that you do your own run with all the limitations the hermits have, I'd say even having limited shards, for testing purposes!! Like when you noticed how important that berry bush was, it became more important for you to fix it! Love the game. Amazing job! 👏🏼

Tango, I just want you to know this game has become my world in the last few days. Thank you so much for the hours of entertainment. This is truly nothing short of incredible.
I also have an idea for the dungeon Lackey, since you were worried about the added clank and Hazard from you being in the dungeon with them. If you get swift sneak enchantments on leggings and use a potion of swiftness before the run, you can use toggle sneak and move just as quick as someone who is just walking normally. But because you're sneaking with swift sneak, you don't set off the skulk sensors.
Having actually watched Gem's runs before this, I didn't get the impression anything was bugged when she got in the secret room both times but I'll be curious to learn what Tango's verdict is after he reviews the footage. I suspect she just got lucky with the position of the ravager (far from her drop position) both times, and she'd already figured out what to do and where to go.
Hey Tango! A few streams ago (I really wish I could remember which one it was, sorry) someone mentioned the idea of putting a slot machine in the Ember shop for Hermits who have fewer than 4 coins at the end of their run and you seemed pretty interested in the idea. Obviously you ended up deciding not to use it, but what about a slot machine to exchange extra Embers for a chance for crowns or coins? The cheapest thing in the shop is Moment of Clarity, which is 6 Embers. It's not really an issue at the moment since most Hermits only have 10-15 Embers per run anyways, but I think that as they start going deeper into the dungeon there are going to be situations where people have more leftover Embers after they make their purchases but don't quite have enough to buy anything. I think a slot machine for crowns or coins could help them from feeling like they're wasting Embers, even if it's pretty low odds. Slim chances of an extra crown or coin might feel better than dying with 5 embers in their hand that they couldn't spend on anything. Incredible work, as always! Decked Out is an amazing achievement and all of the content that's already come from it has been so much fun to watch! Can't wait to see what else you have planned for it!!
Suggestion: Set up a villager breeder and regularly throw villagers into the dungeon (after each run). They should help redistribute ravagers. For example, dropping 6 villagers in an area where 3 ravengers can patrol, spread out, should have each ravager lock on to different villagers.
If there's any doors or work stations in the dungeon wouldnt the villagers just lead the ravagers to those areas? Also aren't pressure plates activated by villagers so they could just end up clogging up the exit or let a ravager into the exit
@@more-reasons6655 true, I didn't think of that issue... Though practically speaking, the entrance is where we would want to guide them away from. Concerning doors, however, that really is an oversight on my part.
@@MichaelSayer-sf7gu true... Though maybe a "pawn sacrifice" legendary card to flood the dungeon floor you're on while blocking clanc from appeasing the spirits of the dungeon might be a way to further that concept with less of the problematic aspects @more-reasons6655 mentioned...
Omg Scar's run was ridiculous! Just him running face to face with the ravagers over and over and his little squeel each time! And then to go out like that! My man, poor Scar!
I can't get enough of these! I've watched so many of these runs, I could almost run level one right now! Tango, I hope there's a server version of this is in the future!!!
Men, tango. I m doing a masters in music in a foreign country(usa), life have been so hard but these videos are making my week better. My ansiety goes down everytime i watch videos like this. I practiced my english last years with Hermitcraft. I m honestly really grateful.
My wife says you have a Winnie the Pooh laugh. Decked Out 2 is awesome, and has reinvigorated my floundering efforts to complete my own table top RPG. Thank you!
Tango, hear me out, I think you SHOULD buy victory tomes. It could be fun for the other hermits to try and beat you, and obviously you wouldn’t be in the running for the winner. Also not buying victory tomes sort of throws off the frost ember balancing (for you) because you will be putting all of them into your deck.
Now that your redstone prowess isn't being taken up by the building of Decked Out 2 maybe you could take a swing at fixing the rift so that Smajor, Jimmy, Joel and the other Empires/Life Series people to try Decked Out - and even modify it to allow Martyn to try it as well? Like one theme day/weekend when they all get to try it.
It might be fun to do decked out training camps/training room in deep frost citadel, maybe even ask another hermit to make it. Could have stuff like jumping over deadly rivers of deadliness, scar taught compass class, ravenger wrangling, and something sound based might be cool. Maybe even have little competitions, hermits could place bets with crowns, maybe even shard prizes as a way to introduce more keys and encourage honing certain skills. Then once people start going to level 3 you might have tasks to do with warden.
Idk how tango resists just throwing the shards around to anyone who so much as asks... I'm so addicted to watching everyone's runs x) I have never so desperately wanted to play a game like I've been wanting to play DO2.
1:47:20 I know tango just saw the light change but it really adds to the whole 'tango is part of the game' lore when he says the dungeon is ready before it does
Hey, Tango! Been watching you for a while, but I don't usually go for streams. Decked Out 2 has brought me over, because I love watching your reaction to the Hermits' runs.
@42:10 One thing that I think could be cool as well is to have a "ladder season reset" like in Diablo 2. Where all of the hermits have to start with a new deck and compete again, but this time they have knowledge of the dungeon that they learned in the previous season.
I'm sitting here chuckling while everyone is in the hallway chatting after ethos run and all you hear is items getting thrown into everyone's inventory
Had to go watch Hypnos vod after you mentioned his runs. Can confirm he actually has a mouth irl and i am now the most disappointed i have been sense finding out mumbo didn’t have a stash.
I think 1st week hermits have an idea of Us vs the Dungeon, once the 1st week results come in, they will start to see each other as competition, rather than teamates, people will start to hoard secrets and strategize with them
Not sure if you read these Tango but you want the Hermits to not hang around in the dungeon because as Etho and Hypno say you could just stand there...well incentivize. Every Hermit wants more Shards to run the game right? Well fastest successful run of the day for level 1 gets 1 shard...fastest for level 2 gets 3 shards, and fastest for level 3 gets 5 shards! Or something like that. Incentivized speed with great rewards like that and you won't have a problem, or just a random thought I've had. Hopefully you see this...its impossible to get notice on your streams now lol but super happy everyone is finally seeing how amazing you are 👍. But a fan for years and a Twitch sub forever as well...just don't chat is all. Thanks for the good times 😉👌
Hey Tango! I think you eating your own medicine a bit after the hermits is a great thing to do! Loved your runs! You could totally put these on the main channel, maybe one week delayed?
I can just imagine MrsTango's giddy cackle every time she finds out her minion has annihilated a Hermit. I would fill my deck with Sneak and Stability. Probably aim for 10-15 of each. Safe time in the dungeon and a quick exit seems paramount.
Hi Tango. Huge fan here. I've been following your building of Decked Out since just after you started building. Hugely inspirational. Recently I've seen you having issues with your Map GUI display desyncing and causing you issues and that you're having trouble debugging it. I am a fellow redstoner and I love a challenge so I went into my redstone world and recreated your map and worked on your issue and I am 99.9999% sure I have a foolproof design that will fix your issue and never break. I'd like to show it to you so you can look it over and implement it in your map if you like it and it solves your issue. I don't know how else to get ahold of you or to send over a schematic/structure block. Let me know if you'd like one. Thanx and keep being amazing!
Bonus is that it does not rely on pistons or T-Flipflops but is instead a modified red coder type system. And its a very simple design with minimal redstone.
If you want to make max clank a bigger fear. You could add or replace some evokers with strays. They'd shoot an arrow at the player and slow them down for vexs, or ravagers to get them.
From watching Hermits play, I think the "Mystery Doot" is right next to the "Library Room" in the Crypt, maybe even close to the tombs in the stairwells.
Suggestion for the dungeon entrance door: When it slides open it's just flat floor underneath, and when it opens all the way, the edge of the door clips through the wall and disappears. I'd say replace the blocks of the wall with blackstone walls or something so the edge of the door doesn't clip through, and in the floor use grindstones, or anvils, or stairs or something to represent a "track" for the door
Hi Tango! Not sure if you'll even read this or not but I figured it's worth a shot. If I may make a suggestion to spice up the game (if this will even work with the mechanics etc): Create an EXTREMELY rare chance of a 2nd compass drop while someone is running the dungeon. This will reward people who are surviving a long time and exploring thoroughly by giving them an opportunity to go and find another artifact and have a super profitable run as a reward for a really good run and finding the legendary 2nd compass drop! I'd also say it'd also make sense that the extra compass drop should 100% always been on the next floor down just to spice it up and force them to decide if it's worth the risk. Could help drive hermits to delve even further into the game and explore further levels but also give more incentive for hermits to stay in and explore the dungeon for longer instead of just getting their artifact and escaping immediately (longer runs and forcing more exploring might help the crown economy issue since they'd theoretically be finding more drops) I hope you like this idea or that it's even possible with the current mechanics! As always, absolutely LOVING the game Tango!!
I don't know if you'll ever see this Tango, but I have an idea on how you can "reward" or notify the hermits they got their own artifact with a jukebox or something. The artifacts are already being detected which one is which whenever the hermits relinquish their artifact so the game can correctly distribute frost embers correct? If you add a way for the hermits to select that they are the ones playing prior to their run, such as a button under their head in the main hall where the scores will be displayed, you can connect the two system so that whenever both systems output a signal which matches the hermit to the artifact, whatever "reward" or sound effect or whatever you wants plays. So if iJevin plays, and he pressed his button under his head, that signal goes to wherever the jukebox would be, and then if he thrown in the jar of slime after his run, the detector that already detects the artifact for the frost ember count send another signal to the jukebox. Once both signals hit that line up with each other the jukebox plays. Or if you want to do a reward of some sort I'm sure you can figure out a way to do that too.
Yesterday I tuned in right at the very start of the legendary Etho-somehow-survives-after-going-to-lvl-2-and-all -run and stayed for the rest of it. Can't get enough of DO2, but living in CEST zone means I should probably stick to the vods in the future 😅

That’s an interesting idea.
Rule number one though with villagers is they do not do what you want/ intend them to do.
I don't think so , it'll keeps spawning iron golem if the villagers panic
Omg Scar's run was ridiculous! Just him running face to face with the ravagers over and over and his little squeel each time! And then to go out like that! My man, poor Scar!
The dungeon master showing how it's done! Good to see Tango, and Decked Out is giving all the hermit's so much fantastic content, fantastic job

The hermits need shards for their addictions
We need hermits to post DO2 for our addictions
If he were to sell shards for diamonds he would become the richest hermit within an hour
Scar is an entire entity this episode. His Easter egg killed me!
I can't get enough of these! I've watched so many of these runs, I could almost run level one right now! Tango, I hope there's a server version of this is in the future!!!
there's always a world download at the end of season, can't wait for that.
I very strongly agree with your stament! Beating the Dungeon master at his own game is tottally something to brag about
Now that your redstone prowess isn't being taken up by the building of Decked Out 2 maybe you could take a swing at fixing the rift so that Smajor, Jimmy, Joel and the other Empires/Life Series people to try Decked Out - and even modify it to allow Martyn to try it as well? Like one theme day/weekend when they all get to try it.
It might be fun to do decked out training camps/training room in deep frost citadel, maybe even ask another hermit to make it. Could have stuff like jumping over deadly rivers of deadliness, scar taught compass class, ravenger wrangling, and something sound based might be cool. Maybe even have little competitions, hermits could place bets with crowns, maybe even shard prizes as a way to introduce more keys and encourage honing certain skills. Then once people start going to level 3 you might have tasks to do with warden.
I mean…Scar being the one to get the Death Loop so many times in a row…it’s ironically funny.
I can’t wait until someone makes a video of all of the run in order for each week!😍
Idk how tango resists just throwing the shards around to anyone who so much as asks... I'm so addicted to watching everyone's runs x) I have never so desperately wanted to play a game like I've been wanting to play DO2.
I love the fact that the stress scar gives tango balances out the stress DO gives all of the hermits 😂
1:47:20 I know tango just saw the light change but it really adds to the whole 'tango is part of the game' lore when he says the dungeon is ready before it does
Just watched the hot wings with imp and skizz, your a beast!! Haha keep up the good work your a legend
Hey, Tango! Been watching you for a while, but I don't usually go for streams. Decked Out 2 has brought me over, because I love watching your reaction to the Hermits' runs.
If Tango made reminders for every hermit derp DO would look like a computer without ad block, all kinds of pop ups and everything haha
Scar: You've seen my deck. It's inadequate in size.
Tango just shakes his head.
Love, love, love these epic Decked Out videos!
I think 1st week hermits have an idea of Us vs the Dungeon, once the 1st week results come in, they will start to see each other as competition, rather than teamates, people will start to hoard secrets and strategize with them
Decked Out has the Vault Hunters effect where its so good that even the person who created it can enjoy it
Not sure if you read these Tango but you want the Hermits to not hang around in the dungeon because as Etho and Hypno say you could just stand there...well incentivize.
Mrs.T "You need a third one :D"
Tango "I think we actually need one LESS"
Mrs.T is INSANE and we love her! XD
And then he did end up having to add a third! Lol
Lesson learned: ALWAYS LISTEN TO MRS.T XD
And its a very simple design with minimal redstone.
so cool! I love how close tango came to dying here at 3:46:18 and hes stay calm the entire time! :D

Tango when grabbing frost shards! “Grab eight! You think I’m running 8 times?” Proceeds to run exactly 8 times

"ravagers have powers of perception that are on par with mine" at least you have a way with words tango :D
I love watching these runs, it's like Christmas morning over and over! gg Tango
Hey man , I dont give a shard! - Tango's new catch phrase
I'd say replace the blocks of the wall with blackstone walls or something so the edge of the door doesn't clip through, and in the floor use grindstones, or anvils, or stairs or something to represent a "track" for the door
thats amazing...
Mrs T: "Youll be getting a shard"
Tango: "WHAT!?" in such a surprised high pitched squeak
Tango, the fact you've made this in 13 months is absolutely mind blowing. Well done mate.
Scar: I'll state my case, and then I'll speak to Mrs T....
I'm just waiting for the message "Uhh... Tango... We broke the pick of shame.
It uhh... ran out of durability."
Etho showing amazing skill once again! crazy run!
Hi Tango! Not sure if you'll even read this or not but I figured it's worth a shot. If I may make a suggestion to spice up the game (if this will even work with the mechanics etc):
Create an EXTREMELY rare chance of a 2nd compass drop while someone is running the dungeon. Could help drive hermits to delve even further into the game and explore further levels but also give more incentive for hermits to stay in and explore the dungeon for longer instead of just getting their artifact and escaping immediately (longer runs and forcing more exploring might help the crown economy issue since they'd theoretically be finding more drops)
I hope you like this idea or that it's even possible with the current mechanics! As always, absolutely LOVING the game Tango!!
Anyone else here watched all the vods so far? I just can't get enough decked out. I might be addicted 😳
I want to see all the Hermits camping the spot Tango logs out at waiting for him to come on to distribute the weekly Shards
Welp, I've officially replaced Jeopardy with Decked Out! Amazing creation Tango. You bring a whole new meaning to Dungeon Master.
It would be so awesome if Tango made this into a public game, kinda like Iskall did Vault Hunters
Everyone should be able to play once the world download is out after season 9 is over! But having a decked out server would be fricken sick.
Yesterday I tuned in right at the very start of the legendary Etho-somehow-survives-after-going-to-lvl-2-and-all -run and stayed for the rest of it.
Can't get enough of DO2, but living in CEST zone means I should probably stick to the vods in the future 😅
Genuinely addicted to decked out!! Absolutely hooked
Loved rens little dance when he found it
