Lyrics:
Unafraid of the will to draw near
Precious sol
I think it sweet of you
Intergalactic
Are you an over compensator
Crusade to expand calendric systems
For a universe of round worlds An object from afar
To expand
Faint object camera
Drawing near
Keep unafraid of the will to draw near you
To call, manera (the way)
#Hopesfall #Arbiter
Never leave us again
Well said.
Felt like I just went back 10 years. God damn I missed these guys.
I feel like I went back 20 with this track.
John Lichtenberg Ryan being back is so great.
I remember being 16 years old when I first heard Hopesfall and I was struggling a lot with relationships, school, just life in general and was not seeing any future for myself. I would throw on The Satellite Years and just lay in bed and whatever I was thinking of or bothering me would just melt away as I grooved to this new genre of music I found. Hopesfall, you were there for me during my darkest times, and with this beautiful song and your glorious return, will be there for me for any more hurdles in life coming.
I just want to say thank you for your music, I love you, and I appreciate you.
I played the satellite years in gym class one day and it was funny
How can you possibly just retire for 11 years and then drop a song this good in your comeback album? Genuinely amazed every time I listen to it
I like how it starts off heavy as hell, like an homage to their roots, then as the song progresses it gets more melodic and spacey. Probably not intentional but it’s a good representation of their evolution as a band, I think.
Definitely, this sounds like TSY, NWTSO to me, Ryan being back helps. Even Frailty had deep melodic tones, this is more refined, evolved.
Album of the year.. Just know it.
in the bag
No question
Fuck yea
Really feeling Deftones in this. Good stuff
kuneefay what? No.
The track "Drowning Potential" off of Arbiter definitely had a Saturday Night Wrist - Deftones vibe to it. Deftones were largely influenced by HUM on a lot of their material so I can see the Deftones link to Hopesfall because both bands love HUM.
What? Yeah. There's serious Deftones colors in Arbiter. And that's a fucking great thing.
Deftones shows up in like "Drowning Potential".... This song is straight up HUM.
Like... So much HUM they aren't even trying to hide it.
Amazing vocals by Jay, so versatile. I had to listen a few times to figure out it was him and not a surprise guest appearance from Matt Talbot
I've been waiting for this, I still jam satellite years 2018. Hopesfall, poison the well, dead to fall, atreyu... Those where the days haha
Satellite years was definitive of the genre this sound is like a types mixed with satellite years
We’re long lost friends with the Poison The Well comment. Add Glassjaw, Every Time I Die or Beloved to the list, as well. Cheers bro!!
Early Autumn to Ashes, these guys, Moneen, lots of awesome bands.
Ooo shiver me timbers, I'm in love
Hopesfall is killing it! I'm so glad they're back!
That bridge is so goddamn good. This is a promising album. Maybe, finally, a band whose comeback album actually delivers?
i prey they come to AZ there's not a single band i wish to see more live then these guys right here
It's glorious. Beyond what I could have hoped for. Play it very loud.
Best new song so far
I'm on my 4th listen in a row and I'm so excited about this album. I also love how many others are stoked and moved by this track. Wish I knew more Hopesfall fans IRL. I've been hooked since my buddy introduced me to The Satellite Years. I love you guys and gals.
I keep listening to this song over and over, it's just magical. I don't care if it was over a decade long wait for new material it was completely worth it. Parts like 0:58 , 2:54 , 3:40 , 4:35 is what makes Hopesfall different from the rest
All the singles are incredible. Thank you soooooo sooo much.
I literally just almost burst into tears after I heard this! As a near 40 year old who has seen my favorite bands disband or turn terrible, (BTBAM)........This track alone has taken me back to when tracks like End Of An Era were fresh in my head. AMAZING!
I knew the new hopesfall material was going to be good, but had no idea it would be THIS good.
This band has always hit me in the feels.
The album of the decade might just soon be entering our atmosphere...
I’ve been listening to Hopesfall for over 15 years now. I accidentally found them trying to download something else on Kazaa or Limewire or some shit lol. They got me into that heavy, melodic good stuff when I was 14-15 years old. So glad they’re still putting out (solid) music.
This album is going to be beyond gold. :D
Yes!! That sound!!! Damn!!!
Absolutely breathtaking track. Excellent job all around. Well done.
Incredible. Best one so far..
I can't believe this album is as good as it is. So much HUM. Glad you're back. Please come to Portland, OR.
the rest of the album could be arrhythmic pudding farts and i would not be disappointed at this point.
Bryce Macdonald yes
Arrhythmic pudding farts 😂
Can’t stop coming back to this song ,you guys really outdid yourself with this one just amazing
This is like a shining light for music that most probably wont even get. These dudes are old enough to be most of your dad's age, And they're making better music than 90% of your record label/producer groomed bands. Stop accepting shit music and maybe they'll may stop making it. The music machine will work its ways but this is the biggest breathe of fresh air I've had in years, Hopesfall doesn't bend to the times, wish more bands kept their roots deep.
Bro, what are you talking about? I'm discovering awesome music all the time. Where are you getting your music from? Hopesfall aren't keeping music alive or something. They're just a great band. I can't stand coming into comment sections and seeing this "Music is dead!" BS. Come on.
Life is just that much sweeter.
Holy shit. best one yet. Just a bit more til the whole album drops.. the hype is real
Absolute perfection
This song is beautiful.
I'm reminded a lot of Deftones on this song and some Hum mixed in. I hope that comes off as a compliment, as it is intended as one. Sounds great. 8)
"some" hum? This is a hum song with a hardcore intro. Straight up. I hear no Deftones.
Some parts remind me of their song "Goon Squad" and much of the rest remind me of various elements of Hum, such as "Boy With Stick," and maybe just a hint of some post-rock, i.e. "Malabar Front" from If These Trees Could Talk. But, yeah, I was giving my impression as I was hearing the song the first time. I definitely hear more Hum influence after hearing the song multiple times. Still digging it. 8)
Rushtallica don’t mind John he’s on his period
Both deftones and hum are great
Dreamy melodies send me to heaven
Amazing as always
Glad theyre back, and glad they confirmed this isnt a one record reunion label. I hope 18v stay true too, cuz that shit is good.
Wowwwww can’t believe I just found this 3 years late THANK YOU HOPESFALL for the many years of epic music 🔥🔥🔥🙏🏽
I'm so fucking happy right now. I just found this after having loved these guys for years! What a wonderful surprise!
one of my favorite band. HOPESFALL d one of a kind :)
Man just felt like hearing some great classic Hopesfall and found this !!!!!Yes!!!!!Damn🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Y'all have made my new year!!!!!!!!!
Can’t believe this new album is already four years old. I always need more!
Album of the year. Listened to my record 4 times through in the last 24 hours and this album expands on their whole discography in such fantastic ways.
Verse sounds like Coalesce. Chorus sounds like HUM. Sounds good.
Just wow brought me 2 tears main band that got me into heavy chill with satellite years will always remember the concert in az
Perfect.
beyond incredible. intro sounds like augustana then a return to old hardcore hopesfall then just 4: 45 of pure sonic euphoria. are we sure Matt Talbott from HUM isn’t leading on this track? how is that not possible haha
new material from hopesfall, snapcase and morning again... the gods definitely exist!
Cândido Ferreira Pinho Neto wait snapcase is back now too?
New snapcase !!
Where?
yeah. i cant find anything but a new live song from January
redshift912 they released a new song early this. And the fact that they came back to play some shows after a really long hiatus with new material was what i celebrated! Just like hopesfall and morning again came back after really long hiatus.
Morning again is also now releasing a new 4songs ep with revelation records.
Thats all! ;)
Zomg..... amazing
2 seconds in and I knew this be a banger. Welcome back dudes.
Awesome
First song I have heard fro Arbiter, as I was trying to just wait for the whole thing to come out. I honestly am wishing for the rest of this album to be this good. Still hear that wonderful Hum influence. Welcome back.
💕👊🚀
This album is so fucking good so far
dear laaawwddd!!!
👌👌👌👌👌
New Hum! Seriously though, so amazing that not only is this listenable, im actually excited for a post hardcore album for the first time in years! I would have loved this back in the day, I will love it today!
Idk this band but holy shit I'm into it this is fantastic. Straight 🔥
Que música!!!
Finally some new good post hardcore !
2:40 to 3:42 is just... wow... what an insane throwback... for the moment best instrumental interlude of "Arbiter"
So cool Hopesfall is back! :::)
Yep.
Really wish these guys had some acoustic stuff
fire
What a time to be alive !!
Reminds me of "as cities burns" "take shape" and lyrics of poison the well.
been a fan since shines thru came out
The Canon, Saskatchewan, and Little Dipper had a baby.
hopesfall2win nailed it
Please can you help me the references here - Little Dipper as in the Hum song? Saskatchewan the bonus track on Magnetic North... and what's The Canon? =-? thanks in advance
@@user-pp5ri9pk5m yeah... It's confusing considering "The Canon" is more or less a cover of "Little Dipper" lol
@@user-pp5ri9pk5m The Canon, it's on Magnetic North.. leads into Devil's Concubine; and yes the Hum song Little Dipper
hopesfall2win Listen to Envy?
O.M.G.... Sigan asi EXCELENTE
It sounds like you never left... Almost 18 years since I heard first heard 'End Of An Era'...
Hum vibes for sure
great song
Это божественно😭😭😭🤟👍
That hawaiin bloom i will never know of.
fecking amazing
unafraid of the will to draw near
Deftones in outer space
Chase Roolz deftones are in the heavens
I love this!
I love HUM
You guys ought to check out Failure and Mossbreaker
Between this and Chelsea Grin's new album...it's like christmas on Friday the 13th this year!
Vocal melody in the chorus is straight out of Hum's "You'd Prefer An Astronaut". Not surprising considering the connections between the bands.
Top!
love this
Yo
love the cover, love the music, cool band ever and yes I got 40 yo ;]!!!
1:30
aguante hopesfall!!!!!!!!!!!!
so good :')
Афигеть круто!!!!!!!!
My favourite band of all time get better.. Fuckin hell
This shit slaps
Was really hoping to hear that riff at 0:34 more :(
also.. i pray we get another UFO riff like Devil's Concubine
"the atmosphere"
As much as I like the classic feel. I wish they would've had more modern production, if that makes sense.
Fuckkkkk yeeeeeah!!!!!!
Still no end of an era. But fuck, i dig it!
Oh BTW this is the best fucking b-day gift too.
I'm getting a Thrice feeling
