This song is hitting my soul...Never heard of this band before and completely found this song randomly out of the blue.
This song is prettier than most of the songs from the albums by Quicksand called "Slip" and "Manic Compression", but just as powerful as them.

No it doesn't sound like Quicksand. I have been listening to them since they started and this sounds nothing like them. Walter completely changed how he sings, and he has improved a lot. He doesn't sound as hardcore. He sings pretty now...
Sounds like Rival Schools, which is completely fine in my book.

@@TheyRiseBand Agreed. I just miss his early aggressive vocal style. During current live shows he sings the old songs in this weird mellow way. Just doesn't sound right to me thats all...

They tried to spell cosmonauts with some Cyrillic characters but the N they used is и which makes an E sound and their A they used д is actually D. Nonetheless, badass song, album, and more importantly, band!

Just to know people. What kind of genre is this? This band sounds really really good!
Edwin Alarcon Space rock is my guess. It's a change from most of their other material which is actually post hardcore.

It really does. I've loved this band since I saw them open for Offspring in 1995, but this sounds too much like Deftones. And as a rule I can't stand Deftones. At least he doesn't sing all whiny like I guess...

Yes you're absolutely right. The dislikers ARE wrong. Yeah, the entire album isn't great, but there are some outstanding tracks on it. DISTANT POPLULATIONS ? Maybe 3 at most are even memorable.

Saw these guys last night and completely blown away
saw them last weekend...they were amazing very excited for this album
I saw them in Boston and I've never seen them so good. I'm not hating Tom by any means, but I've seen Quicksand many many times and they never seemed so alive. So happy to be what they are doing. It was the best I had ever seen them.

I thought the same thing, like this does not sound like a Quicksand song, but it is the best one. Good on 'em to do something totally different and it be as amazing as the rest of the songs.
