I've been following Hozier since 2014. Never dull artist. His lyrics are deep and always interesting. Live is unreal. Much better than in studio recordings. Listen to De Selby (part.1 & 2) there are Old Gaelic verses. Yes he's proudly Irish🇮🇪
To answer your question: he is Irish! Love Hozier, always great lyrics and music - definitely recommend to explore if you liked this song of his. Nina Cried Power and Eat Your Young are amazing
I think you know by now he’s Irish, but I really really recommend butchered tongue as a song to listen to. It’s about the Gaelic language and how colonialisms tried to bury it but bits still survive in its people. It’s an amazing song
hozier is indeed Irish! and in this new album he embraced that so beautifully, pls react and take a listen to butchered tongue and de selby (part 1) god those songs literally broke me
His most 'famous' song is one called "Take Me To Church" which got play in the US at least for a while, the video for it is gutwrenching as a warning if you dive into that- it's a good song but of his older songs I prefer "Work Song", "Shrike", and "Sweet Cherry Wine". His new stuff like "Francesca" has all been amazing and I can't wait to get my hands on a complete album. The new songs have a background theme drawn from "Dante's Inferno" and Francesca is based on two lovers written about in the 'lust' circle who are forever pulled apart in a hurricane.
I hear what you’re saying. I should listen to ‘Take me to Church!’ I’ll add it to my list! At the moment I’ve had to take a slight break (got married lol), but soon I’ll be back home and working my way through the list of recommendations I’ve been given!
Hozier Must Listens: Nina Cried Power, Take Me to Church, Movement, Arsonist's Lullaby, Work Song, Better Love, From Eden. And yes, he is very much Irish. 😁
Please dont vape for your health and if you do, at least dont do it on camera, its distressing to watch somebody who is trying to convey expertise, instead visibly self harm.
He's a fantastic human, supports minorities, and has a huge LGBGT.etc following a cross Europe and USA...kind amd empathetic and lives a quiet life in Ireland...
“That man’s voice is f*cking incredible” lol me daily
I really wasn’t expecting it haha
@@markabusireactions check out his live stuff. He’s even better live.
@@jamjar5525 I shall!
