Lots of people would just panic and block an intersection for hours while waiting for a repair man. You are correct about this working to get you off the road.
If you don't have a cutoff valve. Use a coin or something the size of a quarter and place it between the gladhands seals and place the glad hand back on the trailer.
You know this happened to me just now. I was thinking this is my head while the roadside was working on it. I just asked the repairman if it would work and he says no. I don't have a cut off valve on the service brake side of my trailer, however I don't think that would be an issue. Thanks for the video it confirms my thoughts
Thanks I was backing up to dump my walking floor and my air line got tangled with my hydraulic line and ripped off. I was stuck midway through my backing into the hole. I didn’t panic. When in doubt watch a UA-cam video to help you out. Thanks
I have a 2018 Cascadia and it’s nothing like this. I have 130+- air pressure, put the blue on the red side and when I release the trailer brakes, the red line still pours out air and leaks down to fast so it won’t budge. Good thing I guess is, I’m only blocking the entrance to a business instead of out in the road lol.
If Kenworth mounted the air lines under the cab, like Freightliner, instead of on the frame rail this stuff wouldn't happen. Also the spring loaded pole they use to hold up the hoses is stupid. Suspending them from above with the springs is better.

Glad it helped you out
My trailer glad hand connectors have a piece of metal that doesn’t allow you to connect blue to red. :(
buddy can you give me a tip in this situation, if the engine does not start, how can i pass air to the tanks, if i in the middle of the highway
Thanks for your video. Is there a way to do that if your truck doesn’t have a trailer brake?
Saved me today
Thank you
I was blocking docks, and now I'm not.

Very impressive 👏👏
Buy a new set, keep the blue as a spare. A wrench and two minutes and you can be up and running.
Yea I didn’t have a spare. The video shows what to do if you don’t have tools or a spare
How many miles we can drive like this ?
It didn't work for me...maybe bc I don't have a cut off valve 🤔
ya me too. no cutoff valve so didn't work. will try again with the quarter trick on the blue glad hand
Red and yellow lines are both different usually there male and female cannot be replaced. EU Trucks especially.

Just get to the point 💥
Gottacrimp red hose or block hole
Our trucks are sooo different I guess
