I am truly not trying to wax poetic, but as you walk through these enchanting streets, do you ever think of the countless souls that also walked them, the victories and defeats in bygone wars, the many aspirations that were once lost but hopefully in some cases were rediscovered? What the camera captures isn't just a simple walk; it's a glimpse into those numerous remarkable lives that lived fully and gave much. Your act is a profound gift that gives those who watch, a reminder of the many who created the past and forged a path so that all of us might watch and learn and also create history that impacts our children.
Deana, ciao, glad to see you here as usual; it's a very interesting thought this, since I find myselt thinking about this too when visiting most of the towns. Especially in Abbateggio, when I was reading about its history it said that many people here were somehow involved in the famous "brigands" groups during the 18th century, and I always wondered... where did they live, perhaps in some of these houses? They surely must have visited the church etc... and of course about the human nature and lives - hopes, disillusions, successes and failures. I have to admit that these thoughts come usually when I also watch again the videos, or when I pause after filming them or when I bring with me some "panino" sandwhich and enjoy the solitude. It's truly part of the joy of discovering them I must add, especially from my side
Grazie to you James - quite an un-touristic town Abbateggio and definitely not easy to reach by car as well (I could say that for sure:)) An hidden gem
Oumnia, je suis tellement heureuse de te revoir. Heureux que vous ayez aussi aimé ce nouveau pays, un des pays les plus cachés et méconnus que j'ai jamais vu... Je vous souhaite un bon week-end et à bientôt
Ciao Angela, this was indeed a VERY quiet town indeed, perhaps even too much at times) Old video this... but liked it very much. Thank you and wish a nice Sunday to you too! The next videos will be about... christmas markets in north of italy :)

Another stunning little town! We continue to be amazed Ric. How in the world do you find these beautiful places? The street designs and how you caught the geese in flight...amazing. Well done! Always a joy to watch your videos. Grazie mille for all you share with us.
My friends, so glad to see you back here! Indeed, this was a little bit "tough" to search around and... to be honest, even to reach it by car (!) as it's quite well detached and a little bit far from other towns. I was intrigued by its history before going and was curious to see how it really was. Tidy town, perhaps too deserted unfortauntely, but I liked it. Probably the shortest walk ever done too. Wish you a nice weekend and... see you at the next, as I'll be back on "crowded" places in ... Christmas markets)
Riccardo, your videos of the towns in Abbruzo are always enjoyable. Such a beautiful area, and so few people. Via del Forno is unique indeed, love it. Great drone footage, as usual. Un buona fine settimana a te🤗
Ciao Geraldine, oh... this is a very old walk in fact that I was never able to load in the channel... 2021 (!)... can't imagine it was THAT long ago. A very very "out of touch" town I found: a saturday evening but so lonely there :/ But beautiful place, it's like living in another dimension I guess
@@StillWanderer oh 2021! Seems so long ago and yet not.... Abruzzo does seem to have a few quiet "deserted" towns. If it felt lonely, maybe there were some "fantasmi"roaming around 😅

Thank you too dear Abdullah, and always a pleasure to see you back here as usual. A very (very!) quiet town Abbateggio - next video will be the opposite , crowdy walk in a christmas market in the alps)
"To be completely alive, don't think, just feel" .... how I like that😊...so touching...and true, especially for latin people like us who are so sentimental 🤗
Ciao Ioana! Agreed on that, found it rather a nice phrase to put there in that context and for the latin people too) "Buon weekend" and see you at the next
Very relaxing walk. I just returned from workout at the gym and this video was a welcome surprise. I liked the length of it, not very long and indeed a nice little town. It's quiet obviously because you filmed it too early in the morning. It's ok, I still enjoyed watching it. Thanks for your efforts and see you in the next one.
Glad you enjoyed it also Abbateggio dear Esther; I decided to publish it now because the next ones...will be crowded Christmas Markets in the Alps (I hav 1 video from last year and I'm planning to go there back again!). Indeed, one of the shortest walk ever this one, but the town was so tiny... A peaceful place, perhaps too quiet indeed, a shame a little bit, but the time perhaps wasn't the best and it was not in summer. Wish you a nice Weekend and see you at the next one as always Esther
Oi, Ric!
First time I've ever seen such a cobblestone street design. Sanpietrini meets straight line. Nice looking town, although it seems way too quiet. So incredibly italian though... some older homes, some decrepit plaster on the walls, some ongoing work (no doubt beyond the initial schedule and budget...), some beautifully renovated homes, and some alleys where a furniture delivery man would have a heart attack. Great views too!
Hugo! Heh indeed, did you see that I briefly filmed a delivery man there at the beginning who had such a face and was lost indeed, it was quite hilarious. A very peaceful town, a bit too quiet as you said, but maybe people have summer houses there and in November it's like that. Very very detached from other towns, not easy to reach, but I was curious about it. Very italian indeed as you said
I hoped to have seen it all, but I did not in fact :/ I was all alone there... a mystical day perhaps.. I remember it like today. Beautiful town Abbateggio, living its life alone away from everyone like a hermit. An hidden gem
