Nice looking trailer but the air valves for suspension and axle slide as well as the light switch should be inside a box to protect them from ice, snow and rocks.
Stake pockets are DOT legal and safe when the tension is pulling against the weld. The weld is the strength. Never squeeze or wrap a pocket, that pulls away from the welding.
It is nice that those lights are not rivetted in makes it easier for the driver to replace them instead of having to call a service rig or risking driving to a service shop
What are the WLL for each of the securement points? I haul a lot of cable reels with small diameters, only 2-ft or so. Being forced to use a j-plate means I only have about 6-inches of space to use a chain binder. I hope that the rub rail does actually have a WLL.
The rubrail is not designed to secure chains or straps on it, but if you were to use straps with flat hooks or chains around 2 spools at a time will do the job. If you circle around the stake pocket you may damage it.
What would the build price be near , if it was built like Diamond C Hotshot kingpin step deck?, can it have hydraulic dove tail with an aluminum trailer build?
I use the spools/stake pockets to secure my chain and it works just fine. Show us all how to use chains on the topside. 🙄. Also the standard should be winches installed on the passenger side for safety.
You really shouldn't use those stake pockets for chains. They could, and will fold up in a panic stop, dead stop situation. Aluminum trailers are not really made for that. That's why they make a combo(steel and aluminum) trailer.
Pulling the load in one direction is the stupidest thing I've ever heard.... sure way to have a shifted load.... I bet you roll ur straps up into the winches too
Lots of issues with cracking, bent crossmembers and a thin deck. They are a disaster. We aren't the only dealership that won't look at them as a trade.
I don't see this lasting long. Those switches and lights won't make the first winter, catching all the tire spray from the drive tires. I also don't want to duck walk to get to them. Also weight savings = loss of durability.
This trailers is actually rated at 55k lbs in 4 ft. Most others are less. Extreme reduced the weight from making a simpler frame, crossmembers, changed the apitong wood, incorporated the strap tie bar with the winch track, using Meritor suspension that is lighter than hendrickson. This is not less durability than any other aluminum trailer.
@@routeonetrailers I'm not saying there aren't features that I like. Just pointing out things that I don't. I think they should have used some of the weight saved to reinforce areas that are prone to breaking. Example would be frame around the forward axle.
Every trailer mfg is different some trailers the spools or pockets are rated with a wll. The excuse that j rails are stronger is hilarious seen plenty of J clip failures.
Never buying extreme trailers again. They make em way too thin to save on weight - stake pockets easily get damaged by chain hooks. Very few stake pockets. Cracks develop on the frame from deck flexing. Winch rails way too short. Very limited securing area near axles. J-hooks are a joke - fall off as deck flexes on the road and chains loosen. Rear lift axle barely gets off the ground - wrong levelling valve location. Dealer network refuses warranty as ‘that’s how it came from the factory’. Go with time proven manufacturers instead.
I thought aluminum was the way of the future cheaper and stronger than metal. Did you catch the word cheaper.Don't even try to bring this into the oil field you will be sorry.
It is possible to have cracks on the slider boxes. We had a customer with a 2017 model in our shop. The job was done under warranty. He got an updated slier box that will prevent cracks.
Good news is? Well it's junk people! Neck cracked on me. Wiring is cheap, nailer boards crack. Rub rails twist. But good thing is all the parts have numbers on it. But it's easier to give them the Vin number for new trailer

Thank you for the description and story about this trailer! I like it
80thousand dollar trailer to haul 2.40 a mile freight.
Word
Sounds like a plan 😂
If you are lucky to get that shitty rate
No step deck load is 2.40 ever
@admirpetrovic4273 now a days it's more like 2 and florida 1.5
Wish other parts manufacturers had enough brains to put part numbers on everything

Got one changing 1 or 2 tires every month even after alginments
Get a dump valve to assit with turning
Mine been a year still good I do have a lift axel so parking makes easy and when load is light I do also lift the axel
It is nice that those lights are not rivetted in makes it easier for the driver to replace them instead of having to call a service rig or risking driving to a service shop
It's because they get stolen in places like laredo
Well company driver they are rivet to prevent theft. If your calling for a service truck to drill 3 rivets then shame on you
Do they make a 48ft with an 8ft top deck fixed spread axle
I can check and let you know. Can you drop your email here and I will make sure to get you an answer?
That's a beauty.
Is this trailer mostly made of aluminum? Greetings from EU\Poland

Very interesting and I am a truck driver in Europe !

Haul that buck fitty load in style
What does it have for Brakes ? Disc Brakes, I hope.
Either option disk or drums
What about Aluminum bulkhead??
@timsmart6358Should be an option because sum of us like them on stepdeck or flatbed
You can get a bulkhead installed if we add stake pockets in the front from the factory.
Like a Lexus, that appears to be a status symbol.
The average Truck Owner would need some impressive cargo
to enable the expense of ownership.
Why can't I put chains around the round things ???
Controls should be protected out of weather
ĺike it .do you make hotshot gooseneck trailers ??
Unfortunatelly not. Only flatbeds and step decks
PLease tell US the retail price !

Excellent professional 👍
How much is this step deck trailer? Do I need to bring one or both kidneys for down payment?
You can buy it 0 down if you have good credit.
Looks like kidneys are the only option
Very nice
Like the fact that the floor is welded not screw in

I would buy 2026 model if you release it next week
Alot of places wont take the extremes in trade. To risky for liability insurance as a dealer
What do you mean won’t take for trade in what’s risky about the trailer

Anyone with an extruded deck trailer; does it squeak?

75k trailer with no tool boxes???!!! Good luck selling it in today’s market!!!
Every trailer mfg is different some trailers the spools or pockets are rated with a wll. The excuse that j rails are stronger is hilarious seen plenty of J clip failures.
I see a few issues with this trailer from an engineering and rigging point of view.

Cracking on the frame where comes from the kick down to the lower deck
Good news is? Well it's junk people! Neck cracked on me. Wiring is cheap, nailer boards crack. Rub rails twist. But good thing is all the parts have numbers on it. But it's easier to give them the Vin number for new trailer
