      He wrote his own lyrics and they were hilarious! A musical Comic genius!
      Even Charlie Chaplin was a fan! He met Benny Hill and told him so. Now that’s high praise! When a legend tells you they admire you. Heady stuff!
      Learning all the time! I love Benny Hill! He was like a lecherouse school boy! Funny as Hell!
      He led a charge of a Brigade with a Sword in his hand yelling Charge! while he was running backwards foot by foot ! That killed me!
      His show was the perfect mix of comedy music and sexy girls. My dad even howled watching Benny Hill.

      Yes, this video was funny in so many ways. I especially liked the awkward teenage boy attending the Stone's concert with all his ecstatic female peers, with his well combed hair, big ears, cardigan lopsided, tie crumpled, especially at the end of the scene where he sees the camera pointed at him and he looks down awkwardly. Then he is shrinking in each further shot to show he wishes he was not there. It reminds me of being a male youth in those days and coming to realise you are psychologically very different from the girls around you.

    enny saw the jersey I was wearing he felt it was much more like what Mick would wear and I was asked to give it up. They gave me something else to wear, (can't remember what). Sadly we are hardly shown in the video. I worked as an extra with him a few times, nice man.

      But it is a real lyric, albeit a parodic one, and even better than many others taken for real. I got it at Google:
      She got eyes that glow like cigarettes
      With ashtrays underneath
      When she bites her fingernails
      Her mother hides her teeth
      Her general appearance
      Is what you'd call offbeat
      I don't mind girls with kinky boots, but she...
      Got kinky feet
      {Chorus:}
      Oh, there's flowers that bloom in the summertime, the winter and the fall
      But the rose that blooms in my heart, I love the best of all
      Her teeth are just like pearls
      Only Pearl's teeth ain't so hot
      Her heart is in the right place
      But the rest of her is not
      Now, at her birthday party
      The cake, it wasn't bad
      I liked the 18 candles that were on...
      The slice I had
      {Chorus}
      She's lazy, she's lethargic
      And working she resents
      She's slower than a nudist
      Trying to climb a barbed wire fence
      She talks so slow - one evening, when
      She went out with her boss
      Before she could say I'm not that kind...
      Of a girl, she was

    I adore Benny Hill. Such great memories. My dad and I would watch Benny every late Friday night on WLVI, UHF channel 56 in Boston, in the 70's and 80's. As I recall, his show replaced Monty Python's Flying Circus in the lineup. When they first announced the upcoming change, Pop and I were disappointed - until we saw an episode of Benny. We still loved the Pythons, but Benny was so hilarious, we forgave WLVI after the first week. Pop passed in 1991, but I have some great memories of the two of us laughing hard enough to wake up the rest of the family.
