    PSA: Do not overdose on Vitamin A trying to cure your acne, because its really dangerous in high amounts (which is why accutane is so closely monitored by doctors.) xx

      What is the best dose?

    • @emilymoore6036
      @emilymoore6036 5 років тому +11

      @@anayssa8874 I can't say cause I'm not a doctor but overdosing is fatal, that being said everyone's body is different. If you are simply taking a vit a make sure you take the recommended amount on the bottle and no more. This comment was simply to warn ppl that, taking more vitamin A with the thought that it'll clear your skin more is dangerous - since Annie forgot to mention it. But anytime you start taking new vitamins you should always consult your doctor, especially when mixing vitamins because some vitamins don't interact together well or could be dangerous when taking other prescription medications at the same time

      Better to use beta carotene as a supplement, which is the precursor of vitamin A. Too much vitamin A is harmful, in contrast to an excess of carotene.

    Annie it’s like you read my mind today. I’ve recently started to struggle with oily skin and large pores. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have not had issues with my skin until now (at 33 I didn’t think it would happen at this time in life!) but I’m going to try some of the supplements you’ve suggested and fingers crossed it will help x

    Please be careful with the B-Complex people. I took a B-Complex over a longer period of time. It was recommended by my doctor to take as a prevention/help for my migraines since I was nursing back then. My b6 level got into a toxic level and I got alot of health issues. It damaged my nerve system (if you have more vitamins in your system than needed it pretty much reverses the benefits than it is for) I felt weakness in my whole body and it took many months to get over it and I've also seen alot of specialists during this time that could not figure out what was wrong until my b12 and b6 was tested and the b6 was beyond the normal level. Alot of people and even doctors are not aware that vitamin toxicity is real when taking supplements. Also, B vitamins are known as water soluble, means your body would flush out the excess with your urine, however, it will go into your nerve fibres and stay there and basically building up if you continue to use more than your body needs. Also, everybody needs a different amount of vitamins, so what became toxic for me could be fine or still not enough for somebody else. Vitamin toxicity can usually not occur from eating foods but taking supplements. Long story short: just be careful and dont take over an extended period of time unless you are advised to do so. I also learned tha nutritionists know alot more about all of these things mentioned above tha n doctors!

I haven't started a probiotic yet but I will definitely try the burdock root. As a daily vitamin what would you recommend as a quick dose? Because I'm basically at work for 9 almost 10 hours Monday through Friday and I just feel like I'm always so busy that I forget sometimes about the assistance of vitamins

I live in Belgrade, Serbia, and the customs won't let me import any sort of supplements. Is there any store in Paris or Madrid ( a.k.a. Sephora or Urbanfitters.. ) that actually sells this powder? Or is there anything similar to it , any altrenativive high-quality collagen powder that can be found in the stores in the cities mentioned above. Any info would be very welcome! ❤

      Honestly I don’t think so I think combining the vitamins is fine but the supplements could interact with each other I wouldn’t take so many in one day maybe alternate between days

    I see Samantha Jones in Annie. She's a vitamins and minerals whisperer.

    Thanks so much Annie! Such a good overview! I am loving many of these supplements as well. I also take collagens for the skin (for acne scars and anti aging) both as supplements and topically..which is also amazing for hydration and plumpness of the skin. Can highly recommend :) Just make sure to take the capsules and not the liquid, otherwise the colllagens will not survive the acidic ph in the stomach.

    Hey Annie, love your videos! This might be a lil TMI, but when I tried taking maca supplements it just made me feel hornier than usual 😂. And I have also heard of women taking it who are trying to get pregnant. Something to be aware of 😜.

    Love your video but what you say about vitamin c isn't correct, supplementing vitamin c doesn't have any impact on getting a cold our not, there are a few studies which show that.

      Plus you would have to take a lot of it a day with a high dosage to keep colds at bay.
