I agree! Have you watched my other video on this saw? It is when I first got it and did quite a bit of testing. Batteries make a huge difference when running something like this so make sure you check it out! Torque MONSTER - This Saw Will Blow Your Mind! Good little tool for the size and convenience. I would rather use this than a small displacement top handle for small tasks around the property for sure. I really think it is in the ballpark of an Echo cs-310 and Stihl Ms-170. Great if you already have the tool platform!
Would be excellent for that, keeping in the vehicle for getting a limb out of the way that you cannot drag off, and my favorite use case is in construction. While it is not blazing fast, it is useful, reliable and simple. Especially if you already are in the Ridgid Platform. Thanks for watching!
I do appreciate you watching and commenting. I used a 5/32 file and it worked very well. The main thing is making sure you get a good C shape there and you get down into the gullet but make sure you don’t undercut the top plate too much. Do you have very many Ridgid tools?
Seems to cut really well actually. I have DeWalt cordless tools and their new 20v stuff is IMPRESSIVE, so I been curious about the chainsaw. I can't justify buying one yet but it does look really handy!
Yes sir! I have been on the Ridgid platform for over 15 years and their lifetime battery replacement has been great for me. They have replaced numerous batteries for me and it has been perfect for me as a DIY guy.
@@oakiewoodsman that's a great deal! I really don't enjoy spending $80-$120 every time a battery decides to crap out. Ridgid makes good stuff too. I buy mostly DeWalt and Milwaukee. The new brushless motors are the way to go!
If you follow the instructions on registering the tools, the Ridgid warranty is unbeatable. And what is cool is that the format has remained unchanged for all these years. I can buy a new kit and use the batteries on my 15 year old jig saw.
That is absolutely insane for an 18V Chainsaw. I cant wait to add this to my Ridgid collection!

@@oakiewoodsman Just did! Thanks! Looks like a fantastic tool!
Very good! If you ever get one, let me know how you like it!
Angry pixie power for the win!

@@oakiewoodsman as I commented, I was actually thinking it really does look like it could take the place of an ms170 or cs-310👍🏻
Would love that thing for camping.

What file size did you use? I’m having trouble finding the correct one……Thx! Great vids!

RIP IT UP!🤙

Oh man i don't know lol!! I love my little saws as much as the big one's! In another 10 years ill be 67 so maybe then!!
No reason for another variation! It seems as if there is always another one! 😉

Everyone. The loud nonsense guitar music stops at 1:40. I was hoping Ridgid would come out with this.
Would you prefer rap or something with a classical vibe? Maybe a Jazz beat or simply nothing? 😉 Thanks for watching and sharing

Hello Doc!
@@oakiewoodsman Hot here, how about y'all?
@@Doc-Cole_Trickle-of-Chainsaws we are excellent just in a natural steamer at the moment!
Does anyone know if the 12ah battery will fit in it
I am not sure. This 8 does very well though. Do you only have a 12?
@@oakiewoodsman no I was just curious if it fits
I think I have seen it may not. But, haven’t had my hands on one.
