@beardedrockinhillbilly I think you and others have convinced me. If the task is easier, it will likely get done more regularly and that is a win win for the hands and the equipment!

Hey rockin hillbilly. I think the 4030 is just fine and most people won't notice the difference in capacity. The Kioti is a great machine all around and like you said it is one of the top machines in this class with its lift capacity. Thank you for being here

@beardedrockinhillbilly but I am seeing that there are some specs on it that are actually better in some regards. May not be actually much of an "issue" but on paper, it seems nice to have the extra capacity. How long ago did you get your machine and what are your primary uses? @@oakiewoodsman A week and a half ago. Just a hair under 5 acres, 2 wooded 3 lawn/pasture. I tried to do the buy once cry once, offset ditch bank mower, land plane, grapple, stump bucket, pallet forks. The only thing I didn't get yet is the tiller I want. I'm hoping I can pick up a used one in good shape next spring on a good deal. Just hobby farming and property maintenance for now, although I might get into planing gravel driveways and tilling gardens / food plots in a year or so as a side hustle. 🚜

@wvoutdoorsmen5887 Did you see this coming???? I did not look at machines in that size range but I bet it is sure nice having the SE madel with ALL of the options! A grapple is going to come eventually but I am VERY picky about grapples. I like them as sort of a root rake to be able to clean up all the small debris from tree work. What do you have? How is your dirt?? I actually was recently looking at Land out that way and it is VERY similar to my topography but there is much more of it available. Can we consider ourselves "lucky" to have the C loader???

@PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead Thank you Lucas! Isn't it a tough decision? It was especially tough cause the Kubota Dealer is the closest to me and they certainly have the best hydraulics from an operation standpoint. Excited to see what you have coming sir!

I researched for almost a year before buying, was keeping an eye on Kioti, Tym and LS all very comparable. In the end it was mostly the dealership that made the final decision, along with a good special running last month by Kioti. 🚜

Hi JT. That's good information. I honestly didn't know they had two different loaders untill we started digging in the specs. I will try that. I haven't used my foot on my parking brake before. My o ly worry is it's about one inch from the floor board and would I have to use me heel or just turn around to use my toes. I'll give it a go because it's a huge pain to use your hand

@TheRustyGarageandHomestead well, the older branson models its a latch that fits into slots that is right near/on the brake pedal. Keeps the pedal depressed is all. Thought the newer version on tym was better, but I guess not! Haha

@@oakiewoodsman Seems like that’s the way it goes with the drama queens, they always have to find something negative a there’s zero ability to think outside the box and try something slightly different. Actually I don’t think it’s always a waste of time because of the skill involved making an accurate hinge that small. Just a thought… Those little stumps can be trip hazards. I usually choke a chain around them to pop them out or cut them flush to the ground. Most of the time I pop the whole tree out with the root rake on the tractor and mulch it with the flail mower or just drive over it and let the flail mower take it down to the ground.

now that the tractor is here, new options exist! I always try to leave stuff up enough so they are easy to find and a little less of a stob to pop a tire on. I have flush cut man however, with the amount of rock that I have, it is a bit rough to keep the chain out of the dirt and at the same time get the stump low enough. Also, these pesky hard woods tend to grow another 1k trees when you cut em off. Now they will be dug whenever possible!

Dave, the possibilities are endless! The Bad Boy machines are SUPER cool looking for sure and since they are mechanically identical, they are VERY good machines for sure. Very capable. The Bad Boy attachments are TOP Notch from what I have seen. I actually operated a Bad Boy Zero Turn just the other day. VERY impressive!

@TheRustyGarageandHomestead great tip Mike! I agree with you on the selection on these two machine. There truly was no "reason" for me to look elsewhere once Price and capability were factored in. I do wish my dealer were a bit closer however. Lets just hope the machine doesn't need to go back there many times in the future.

@TheRustyGarageandHomestead literally my wife just came in a told me she wants me to do a regular Tractor session with the boys about maintenance, usage etc! This will for sure change the way we operate and honestly, will change ours lives for a lifetime!
