Thank you! Actually all of the sound were added in post using Epidemic Sound. The mic I had was packed with snow and nothing was coming through clearly.
I bought a rope the day before and went around helping people get unstuck in my 04 Subaru Outback. So many people stuck at stop signs and intersections where all the tire ruts form and hard to get going again from a stop
My beauty of Colorado I have grown up here I was born in 91 in Denver I’ve seen a lot of storms and been through the great 08 storm that was epic my tenth grade year of high school .
I’m surprised by how European the housing looked around the area that you live in. When I spent time in California some years ago most of the homes looked to be made from wood and gypsum boards. Maybe it’s because those materials are really cheap or maybe it’s because with there being more variety for cold weather at a higher altitude in Colorado with stronger winds than low lying semi tropical coastal California, stronger and sturdier materials like bricks are needed more. Regardless, it was just an observation, thanks for the video.
It's so beautiful I'm from the deep south and could never drive in a blizzard and I always wonder how people do it thank you for this wonderful video I do plan on buying a winter home in Denver Colorado or Aspen next year🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉!🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤😮😮😮
I was born here in the 50's back when we had real winters and snowstorms. This storm would have come and gone without anyone noticing, we called it winter time back then. Most of the people on the front range are from warmer climates like California and freak out when it snows, encouraged by the same type people in the local media weather desks. 3 feet of new snow overnight my dad would chain up the 53 Pontiac wagon and load all of us up for a great day of skiing and tubing.
It's quite mild and sunny in winter, we only get storms like this *maybe* once every 10 years. Most storms are in the range of 1-3 inches, but the snow is gone after a day or 2. We are getting far less snow then when I was young, and it's getting warmer every winter.
Yea that is true. Today and yesterday were pretty nice that it was finally cold. I’m hoping we get some of the snow the mountain range is predicted to get this coming week. Fingers crossed!
Yeah you could most of shop's closed cause of Covid!!! Really this wasn't bad and melts off the next day!!! But I lived through a few blizzards lots of snow but wasn't real cold
I am now 77 and I grew up in Colorado Springs and lived in Arvada for awhile before my Dad got transferred to God forsaken Clovis, NM. I have lived in Houston, TX since 1980. My Dad grew up in Denver and all his family was there. We spent many, many holidays in Denver. The only time I have been to Denver in the last 40 years is for funerals. I visited my Dad for Christmas 1982, which had, at the time a record breaking snow. Take my word for it, you do not want to walk through hip deep snow to get to the airport (Stapleton at the time) because even with a 4 wheeel drive Jeep with chains, the closest I could get to the airport was almost a mile. Only to find out my flight was cancelled AFTER I called before I left my Dad’s house to verify. I still want one more trip to Colorado before I die. If I could, I would move there with the way Texas has become a Christo-GOP hell.
Well it wasn't cold really and many times a day or two later it melts!!!! New Years Eve 2021 it was so dry and hot that Broomfield and Superior had a big fire!!! 100 mph winds destroyed about 1000 houses so this looks worse than it is
It used to snow a lot! Now most of our snow comes from January to April. If you live in the mountains at high altitude you get snow from September to May.
Just depends many times Dec and November may get 0 and New Years Eve we had a bad fire in Broomfield and Superior cause it was bone dry and 100 mph winds
@@SethAndMeghan LOL. Those of us who have lived here for decades think, “Uh, what’s the big deal? It’s just snow.” But, it’s great that you’re enjoying it, too, and *a big THANK YOU to your wife* for her important (and difficult) work during this challenging time! And you, too! ❤️
We used to love getting the big snows in the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia. They just don’t seem to happen as often anymore! Meghan says thank you so much! It has been a difficult year for her and her coworkers. We are just happy to see her being needed less for that type of work as this pandemic comes closer to an end.
This was great! Really nicely, beautifully done. Love the positive view of what was a pretty intense storm here in Denver!
Thank you so much! It really took me back to growing up in the western mountains of Virginia! I haven’t seen a snow like this one a very long time!
Also, the sounds on this were fantastic ! 😃

Colorado looks so nice with the mountains, snow, and tegridy. t. Finland
How nice looks like that was right out of a movie lol . I love Denver lived here all my life . The best of both world's .
Right! It was so cool to see!

Lovely . Really beautiful video. Thanks for sharing . I miss my Denver always ❤❤
I hope to come back someday, I miss you Denver. Thanks, amazing video, kind regards.

This is a good weather for me to go for a walk.
What a wild experience!
when the Halloween Blizzard of 1991 hit Minneapolis, MN, people were riding their snowmobiles in city streets.
That’s awesome! It must have been a sight to see!
I Love Denver 🙏🍁
awesome!
Thanks!
When that storm hit I was working in lone tree and we got a lot of snow
I was one block away sleeping in this for 3.5 days. Homeless disabled vet. Thanks Denver VA for nothing.
They do have a homeless program that got me in Samritan and then Gabe me a voucher for an apt

good filming I love it ♥️🔥
I love Colorado and Denver, but no way I could spend a winter there,
It was pretty intense!

@@SethAndMeghan got 3 ft from this storm in Arvada but melted completely in a day or twp
absolutely beautiful 💚 sadly I live in Costa Rica and I will never see that here.
I’m sure it’s absolutely beautiful in Costa Rica though!
Same here in Florida
Loved the video. Y’all are having awesome adventures
Thank you! We really are... I can’t complain about a thing.
Wow! We didn't get hit as hard in Colorado Springs. I was really looking forward to a lot more snow too!
Yes! I wanted a lot more too!
Good Video! We got 28 inches in Broomfield with 6 foot drifts! I had to climb out a window to shovel the snow away from the doors LOL
Geez! That’s so crazy! It definitely doesn’t snow like this back in Virginia!
I miss living in Denver
It’s a great place for sure!
I'm from Indiana was in Denver last year when this snow Strom hit all melted in a few days lol
Yea, our snows definitely don’t last long.

Really wasn't as bad as it looked
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
I hate the snow I can’t believe anyone would wanna live in that kinda of weather everyday
Well it’s a good thing you don’t live where it snows (I assume).
i know that shyt rite i come from the east where it’s cold for the most part until summer snow is so overrated

I’m going to Denver the first week in December from El Paso and I hope I see snow but not this much
Hahaha, I really hope we have snow by then! So far none this season
Had 3 ft in Arvada a western suburb
Mmm denver biscuit company, Im going to have to try that sometime. Im just north of denver
It’s absolutely amazing!
This happens regularly that must suck
No, this does not happen regularly. Was the most snow in one storm in the last 20+years
This was posted a while ago but on that day I had to pick up my mom from DIA. So many cars off the road on the way there
I’m sure! Our friend was supposed to fly out that morning but we didn’t even try to go.
I wish we got snow in Miami
I've moved to Denver (earlier in my life) before realizing why we "surrender".
I’m not sure what you mean….
????????
I’ve never been to colorado. Does a normal winter day looks like the video?
No a normal winter day not that much snow ..this is a blizzard ..happens like once or twice each winter ...
@@ron-sh7vj good to know that, i'm planing to visit this year thanks
Arvada go 3 ft about a mth after this forecast
weird question but does it snow in Vancouver
and is the winter cold ?
Excuse me...how often it snows in Colorado?
It used to snow a lot! Now most of our snow comes from January to April. If you live in the mountains at high altitude you get snow from September to May.

Thank you so much!

Really wasn't a Blizzard as the wind wasn't that bad
I never seen ankle deep snow measure 21 inches.
31 inches was the final measurement. Obviously the snow in the city limits was not that high and we filmed near the beginning of the storm.
Got 3 ft in Arvada but it melted in a few days
wish i was born in a cold place
Well temp can drop 50 degrees in 4 or 5 hrs and this storm wasn't that bad but always carry sweaters
Idk how people can manage living in places where the weather gets like that.
Haha, I guess it’s all preference. We love it.
It's rare and usually melts next day....This snowfall wasn't as bad as it looked
Yup, time to cancel all them flights from Denver airport...
for this you have to have private parking ;P
Can I go There
No.
Guess how I know you're not a Denver or Colorado native? ;)
I’m sure there are plenty of reasons.
@@SethAndMeghan Say "Colorado." (There is no "odd" in Colorado, for natives.)
Transplants.
Only here while my wife works selflessly as a nurse at one of the hospitals.
