Been off riding for 7 to 8 years. I think the Thruxton + front fairing will be my first bike coming back from my hiatus. Can't wait! Never been more excited about a motorcycle than this time round.
I've always liked the Bonneville, especially since I saw a brand new black Royale in the local dealer's back in the early 80s. The 2016 range with the new engines look stunning. I can see another born-again biker hitting the road again soon...
The sound of that Thruxton with the stock mufflers, my goodness it sounded good, if I closed my eyes I could have sworn I was hearing a Ducati, unbelievably desirable bike and its at the top of my shopping list!
Got a Ducati Monster from '98 in my garage. Rode the new Ducati Scrambler for a day. But quite honestly, it didn't give me that wanna have feeling. Now this looks more like it. Well done Triumph.
These look impressive. I still have my 1976 Triumph T140V Bonneville. It came in at 395 lbs from the factory no doubt because of the factory stock 4020/4030 chromoly frame. I raced cafe style races on the roads of L.I. NY from 1977 to 1987 ans was undefeated for those 10 consecutive years against every bike on the market. Handling was and is the key to winning any race. My stock 744 cc air cooled parallel twin with a 360 degree crank, my engine was powerful enough so that I steered using the throttle. To drop into the turn - less throttle, to pick her up - more throttle. That's why I never lost. Also my engine nere blew up, never, not even once in all those years of road racing against larger displacement bikes. BTW I took my 1976 T140V Bonneville out in 1992 and won against the likes of 1000cc Ninja with Fi and also the 1000cc V4 Honda Interceptors. Again, I had enough power but very superior handling and reflexes. They had double the power and half the handling and were a lot heavier and slower to react. I had enough power to win and I'm talking maybe 55-58 hp. You kids probably can't belive me. Well I know of no one else who won every race for 10 consecutive years-just me on my stock bonneville sans mufflers and a drag bar and no seat cushion (my only mods). Stock K70H Dunlop tires too! These new Bonnevilles vertical twins do appeal to me. Alas my Bonneville still runs so what would I do with two? I no longer race and these days I ride a 2015 Harley-Davidson FLHP Road King Police. BUt maybe I might get a new Bonneville in a year or so. Not that I need one. -Peter
I'm loving the Triumph Bonneville Street Twin and the Thruxton R. My they're looking seriously good! I'm hoping the Daytona has had quite an overall too, a 1050 engine at the very least. Great bike, I own the 675R 2014 model, but it's quite overdue for a big change now. I wish Triumph would build a whole new Superbike to go along side the Daytona and the R models. A 1000cc+ Inline-4 or maybe even go and be adventurous and produce a V4 machine.
when will they be launched in Asia... also how different will the sound be when arrowed, will it be thinner..... coz the arrowed 865ccs with their growl , gave harleys a run
The question is have they fixed the electronics? seems they can't figure out how to harden their electronics nor give enough slack in the wire harness so they don't short out.
motoUSA's coverage of the Bike Shed launch showed a matte black Scrambler with Vince and Haynes pipes; there is no mention of a new Scrambler in your reveal. Was the Scambler there too?
+dennis B I hope Triumph pull their finger out and get the Scrambler in production in time for the spring. The only thing stopping me from buying the old/current model has been lack of ABS.
I m glad i still have an 'old' one... Who buys a Bonnie for the performance? Im I the only one, i just cant understand Truimph? I understand the upgrade Thruxton, i can imagine that people want some more 'sport' power... But for a bonnie?
Looks like the same old seat that becomes very uncomfortable after about 2 hours, and the same straight across handlebars that are uncomfortable and have to be changed in the first month to a set with a decent bend.
+Wayne Mitchelson Hi Wayne. There's no new Scrambler, instead Triumph is releasing a 'Scrambler' kit for the Bonnie where you can buy different wheels, tyres, seats etc...
+Bike World understood ! Thanks for the heads up, I'm about to buy a Ducati Scrambler, but have been waiting to see Triumphs new Scram. Arrrr I still don't know 🤔😫. Keep up the quality reviews. Thanks for your reply.
+tosgem Have You ridden any of them? The Bonneville is a heavy bike, at least the last series. As a mechanic at a dealer i quite liked the bikes though. The weight wasn't bad for the bike though, it was a very light and easy feeling bike to ride. They're so easy to ride, such a basic feeling, easy to deal with bike, too. That made them a good seller. I'm very glad they've restyled the throttle body to look more like an old Amal monobloc carb instead of the ugly CV carb body style they had before.
I'll be selling my 2016 Indian Chief Dark Horse to buy a black Thruxton R when it comes out. It will be a nice in-between bike for my HD Iron 883 Cafe Custom and my HD Softail Slim.
great looking bikes the last one like the Norton but without the price tag. I own a st1050 great bike but like all triumphs its the weight issue, why are there bikes so bloody heavy compared to Ducati's ? my st1050 with the panniers on is a pain to move around when pushing it.
+Bike World it was me, keep up the good work and I'm sure you will be focusing on bikes full time. You just need to do a review of the Tuono 1100 RR as I've just bought one.
Hm, was waiting to spend my money on an updated Scrambler(better suspension, lighter, a bit more power), but it looks like Triumph forgot about that model completely. Oh well, I guess Triumph decided for me to go shop at Ducati's.
They haven't forgotten about the scrambler. Although no longer a specific model in it's own right there's a 'customised' Scrambler kit which you can add to the bike.
some bikes don't need traction control, abs, and rider modes. these are perfect examples. basically what i got from the video is that the ducati scrambler ruined this class of bikes
the old look in nostalgic looks beautiful but please please please can we not keep living in the past and make a bike I actually might want to buy instead of the look I was riding 46 years ago? lots I would want to look at but sorry but nothing here I would buy and isn't that the point?
A bit too "LIFESTYLE". Slick marketing, celeb endorsment, no substance all about image. Im afraid motorcycling is becoming the new GOLF. Good will to all men.xx
No, Harley Davidson is "lifestyle" these new Triumph bikes are for people that love bikes for what they are and what they represent they aren't trying to be something there not, you have it all wrong.
Bought my first triumph this summer: DISAPPOINTED. I've stalled more on my thrux than all my bikes combined over 10 yrs. Also, this garbage exhaust system sounds like a damn sewing machine. I wrote triumph about their failures and they claimed no one else has complained about this, ya right, coincidentally in 2016 they're coming out with the R version that basically remedies all my complaints, haha. Look on Craigslist in any area and you're guaranteed to find a thrux or bonnie with low miles; I bought mine with 72. Reason, inexperienced riders buy them because they look good but because they dont have the experience I have, they're stalling even more than I am. This bike is like a really hot chick who doesnt know how to fuck. you would have to spend $1000s to get one of these bikes respectable. I'm coming off a sports bike so admittedly my baseline is high but that still doesn't excuse Triumph releasing these machines sounding the way they do, like a grandmas sewing machine, embarrassing.
water cooled and no kick starter ,britsch bike the best bike dose'nt exhiste anny more.pfff i should have in the back of my barn my triton t120 all aloy engine low boy rickmann frame etc etc now i understand why even me ride harley
I like Triumph bikes but they look like Harley Davidson bikes. Meaning all of their bikes looks the same...cafe racer style. Quit saying brake horse power. One word means 'stop' & the another means 'go'. Lol

+Craig Coetzer It does sound good - the new 270 degree crank mimics a 90 degree twin exhaust note
Got a Ducati Monster from '98 in my garage. Rode the new Ducati Scrambler for a day. But quite honestly, it didn't give me that wanna have feeling. Now this looks more like it. Well done Triumph.
Nice job of showing the new bikes.
Excellent review. I m watching every UA-cam video about these bikes. This is the best so far.
+ThePierre58 Thanks!
A very nicely done, well produced video. Thanks!
simple, classic and beautiful..perfect for me...Thruxton R will be in my garage soon..
stunning job by Triumph !
The Thruxton R looks amazing
Triumph just aced the Norton Commando 961. I just hope that the spring rates and valving is better sorted than the Speed Triple R.
That Thruxton R is fucking beautiful!
That Thruxton will be mine. Oh yes.

Bloody fantastic. When are they coming to Australia?
You should get one a lot quicker than usual, Because these Triumphs are made in Thailand. A lot closer than the uk.

Great video. Cant wait to see the new T120, or better still test ride one ! WOW
The sound of the Duc is sexier... expecialli with Termi exs/
Did Termignoni developed exausts for Triumph ?
when will they be launched in Asia...
also how different will the sound be when arrowed, will it be thinner..... coz the arrowed 865ccs with their growl , gave harleys a run
Nice reviews , any idea on the price of the thruxton ?
4:40 My next bike. Well done, Triumph!
The question is have they fixed the electronics? seems they can't figure out how to harden their electronics nor give enough slack in the wire harness so they don't short out.
hello.
I have a 2012 Bonneville T100 black.
can I fit one of those beautiful thruxton retro fairings to my bike??
thankyou
Javier
Heated Grips!! Man would I love a pair of those on my 13' Bonnie T100. Will definitely have a Thruxton R in the garage at some point...sharp
+PiiluvKiisu Feels more or less like every bike i've ever had to me. But i'm sure opinions vary :)
Do any of them come with LED headlight? The photos make it looks that way.
Does anyone know if these bikes are really made in UK or, like today's bonnies, in Thailand? Thanks
nice video..
when can we expect the full reviews of the new range...?
+I Khanna Thanks, the Street Twin review will be out in the next few days!
Do you think they will sell the street twin with heated grips? Or the t120 with a the inspiration kits?
motoUSA's coverage of the Bike Shed launch showed a matte black Scrambler with Vince and Haynes pipes; there is no mention of a new Scrambler in your reveal. Was the Scambler there too?
+Motorbiker No, just had some custom bits added to current model.
+Bike World thanks for the clarification. By the way, good coverage of the event.
+Motorbiker Thanks!
+Bike World why would they update everything in the line up but the scrambler tho?
+dennis B I hope Triumph pull their finger out and get the Scrambler in production in time for the spring. The only thing stopping me from buying the old/current model has been lack of ABS.
Dammit! Dude, did you preen your eyebrows?? Geebus!!
Thruxton is pretty sweet!
Gorgeous bikes! I want one...
Does anyone knows where can I find the exact seat fitted on the Beckham Thruxton R? Thanks!
I m glad i still have an 'old' one... Who buys a Bonnie for the performance? Im I the only one, i just cant understand Truimph? I understand the upgrade Thruxton, i can imagine that people want some more 'sport' power... But for a bonnie?
I like the look of the Thruxton, though it reminds me of the Norton commander. Hopefully the price won't be similar to the Norton.
I'm sure you meant Commando right?
Looks like the same old seat that becomes very uncomfortable after about 2 hours, and the same straight across handlebars that are uncomfortable and have to be changed in the first month to a set with a decent bend.
Awesome review 👊💥 but what's going on with the Scrambler ? I just got to know 😖
+Wayne Mitchelson Hi Wayne. There's no new Scrambler, instead Triumph is releasing a 'Scrambler' kit for the Bonnie where you can buy different wheels, tyres, seats etc...

Anyone know if the yellow lens on the "Beckham Bike" is an actual lens or some sort of lens cover?
It like a sticky cellophane easy to install commando specialties or dime city cycles should have them.
wow nice bikes,i like the 1200 thruxton R,my fav.
Does anyone know if these new engines keep the 360 degree crank layout?
+TheMatteoStudios As far as I know they are all 270(90?) degree cranks like the last air cooled models.
We need a 1050 daytona superbike.
+Alan Wang For what purpose?
Many people have fab'd up fairings up for a Speed triple.. Something to consider..
My gennies quivered when I saw that new Thruxton R
British Classic Built in Thailand, Should be cheap as Chips. Shame it's not built in Hinkley. :(
Why dont they all have tank badges!
triumphs are heavy. we don't know the new weights but believe me, of they were significantly lighter they'd be shouting it from the roof tops already
+tosgem Have You ridden any of them? The Bonneville is a heavy bike, at least the last series. As a mechanic at a dealer i quite liked the bikes though. i want the thruxton r. its great. all youd wanna do is change the exhaust;
I'd take a Thruxton R with standard/higher bars. No café for me; otherwise, awesome bike! All of them look great.
+Siper2 The cafe racer does look nice in the flesh...
+Bike World Oh yeah I'm sure! They look great, I just wouldn't ride around on one all the time. Not comfortable, to me.
I'll be selling my 2016 Indian Chief Dark Horse to buy a black Thruxton R when it comes out. It will be a nice in-between bike for my HD Iron 883 Cafe Custom and my HD Softail Slim.

What jacket are you wearing?
+James Currey Hi James, it's the Knox Leonard Wax jacket! - Luke
+Bike World thanks Luke. I'll stop harassing you in Pizza Express now ;)
Haha, was that you? The glamour of second jobs, not quite as cool as Bike World!
+Bike World it was me, keep up the good work and I'm sure you will be focusing on bikes full time. You just need to do a review of the Tuono 1100 RR as I've just bought one.
+James Currey Cheers mate, enjoy!
Hm, was waiting to spend my money on an updated Scrambler(better suspension, lighter, a bit more power), but it looks like Triumph forgot about that model completely. Oh well, I guess Triumph decided for me to go shop at Ducati's.

Nice bikes I wish my bolt had the same instrument cluster so much better than the yammi one...
parallel twin? on a 1200? seems sort of "econo-bike" like...i will still jump at the chance to ride one
WHAT A SEXY SOUND THIS BIKE HAS. IM WONDERING, WHAT WOULD YOU CHOOSE, IRON 883 OR TRIUMPH, THE LAST ONE IN THE VIDEO...?
Cant wait!!
What's the point in introducing without knowing the HP and the prices?!!!
Some body will have to explain why a today Bonneville , weights at least 50 pounds more compared to the original Bonnie.
+lorenzo magazzeni but 3 times more powerful
These are going be fecking expensive lol
Nice bikes but that young man needs to know which camera to look at :)
Guarda Nadia!
Nice
Very cool bikes, almost makes me want to sell my mint 74 Norton Commando for one of these...Almost.
and you got the guts to call thats indonesian thing a triumph,ho lord bring back my t140 bonnie to me she was born in coventry
some bikes don't need traction control, abs, and rider modes. these are perfect examples. basically what i got from the video is that the ducati scrambler ruined this class of bikes
it's euro 4 regulations it has nothing to do with the competition. But it'll save your ass in a pinch
Nice!
I'm thinkin like jon lebel, 900 is enough, & these triple digit summer days welcome a water buffalo.
the old look in nostalgic looks beautiful but please please please can we not keep living in the past and make a bike I actually might want to buy instead of the look I was riding 46 years ago? lots I would want to look at but sorry but nothing here I would buy and isn't that the point?
holy smokes! I wonder if it up to par with the Norton Commando... sex on two wheels man...
ABS??? water-cooled??? perfect bike.. personally I think the modern so called Boneville is a disgrace to the original.
Wheretf are you looking at?Look at the bloody camera...
Oh, nice presentation though.
喜欢
me thinks this presenters destined for better things...
tv anyone?
He's already on TV. Bike World is Motors TV show on SKY in the UK and cable networks across Europe.
Am I the only one who think the T120 versions look awful? The T100 Bonneville was a thing of beauty, the T120s are just...meh
They fake carburetors styled after the Amal Monoblocs of the Sixties, are a little too much, for my taste.
Niiiccee! :-)
They ruined the bike made it a Water Pumper
A bit too "LIFESTYLE". Slick marketing, celeb endorsment, no substance all about image. Im afraid motorcycling is becoming the new GOLF. Good will to all men.xx

Those Gas Tanks look ugly . What did they do to Thruxton. Looking like a cross between Norton & MotoGuzzi. The older Thruxton looked much better
the new bikes look like crap. i like the look of the 2000 thunderbird it has a 3 legger and over tuned.
V
