Personally, love how it looks with the upside down forks and piggyback shocks- very much a restomod vibe which I've always enjoyed. Sounds like the essence of the bike remains. An updated Moto Guzzi V7 850 vs Triumph Speed Twin 900 is in order. Also Triumph, baby, please give us a Scrambler 900 with at least 150mm suspension travel an tubeless wheels. I know you've got it in you!
I just bought a 2024 model speed twin and for 8 grand which is how much i paid It’s a fabulous bike but for 10 grand it’s too overpriced for what it is especially if it’s supposed to be an entry-level bike.
Those were the best riding shots I've ever seen bar non. You could see the lean, the bounce off the shocks mid corner and the speed. Better than the Mission Impossible I re-watched last night.. Great work!!!
I'm all for having the electronics there as an option but I also usually hate them when I'm riding (apart from very top drawer stuff on track). I wish there was an option for a normal model without it all. My fingers have been excellent ABS for almost 4 million miles now so I think I'm a little past the time where I need my hand holding by electronics which - at this level - almost invariably can't do as good a job and certainly can't predict whats coming next. If you're new or worried about it or even if ytou just can't be bothered to stay alert all the time I get it - electronics are great if you're not great but do they really need to be standard on what in reality isn't a hard bike to control in the first place?
A bit different from that Panigale you were on the other day, Chad. The weather looks a lot better too 😂 That paint job looks much nicer than the 1200 Speed Twins you were on recently. The 1200 tanks look like a C&A jumper with those stripes on the bottom of the tank. Dunno why Triumph don’t make this colour scheme available on the 1200.
These bikes are obviously trying to distance themselves from retros... but keep the retro engine and twin shocks...they are getting very confused. No longer really appeal to modern classic lovers but are too comprised for lovers of street bikes or super nakeds.... like the colours though...
Really good bike, but the clock / tft doesn't fit the genre. Triumph classics deserve twin clocks and I don't care about tech nonsense and phone connectivity drivel. It's a bike, ride and enjoy.
why are they using trident 660 dash on speed twins? it looks good on the trident since its like a neo-retro street bike but i think they should have stuck with the analogue dash for the speed twins.
Ffs stick another disc on the the front and charge another couple of hundred quid, it may be powerful enough, but a single disc on a 900? It just looks meh.
Yay! Chad for Minister of Transport. Naff clock(s) and childish paint schemes R US....someone making decisions for 25' in Triumphs marketing dept is a bit shit at their job.
🤢🤢🤮. Nope, that clock set is a deal breaker. Totally inappropriate for such a retro styled bike. The silencers are meh too! I'd buy last year's model if i wanted this triumph bike....
What’s with the off centre clock, do the Triumph designers think it looks cool? It looks shite. And the paint job, Triumph trying to copy Royal Enfields funky paint schemes now, mistake Imho
I don't have as big an issue with the LCD or aesthetic nature of the "dials" as many here, I actually think it effectively provides all of the necessary info clearly but I HATE that it's off-center and slightly to the left to provide room for the key. What a horrible visual issue resulting from lazy engineering on the ignition placement. Also a single brake setup on the front of a 900 with sporty pretensions? What the hell was Triumph thinking? This is a $10k bike, not a $5-6k "beginner " bike. There is obvious cost cutting/engineering to a price point happening here that put profit margin first. This bike does not deserve to be a volume seller in the market when you look at what other brands, especially those from Japan, offer for the same or similar money.
Why those black silencers? Looks like a pice of plastic. That de-centered dash is also a bit short on excitement. I mean - I don’t mind the more modern look, but those two things are not an improvement.
Blimey it's Chad again. He's bloody everywhere.
Love the Chad. He works hard
@Chad76Media put your feet up son you deserve it 🎉
Chad, you are so lucky; all the new test rides are yours ;)
Triumph did another superb job with the Speed Twin 900, I LOVE new color schemes :)
Like the 70’s graphics
Newton pounds of torque? You didn't remember rightly! 😂
Ha ha I know. Sorry. A lot to remember when riding
Great footage - very cinematic! I like the colour combination - a bit reminiscent of the Gulf racing colours.
😊
Very well reviewed. Articulated the essence of the bike without the detail guff.

Great bike not just for for beginners. Fun bike for peeps who like to cruise and take it easy.
look at those beautiful colors
Thanks Chad.
Thanks
If I was buying this motor bike I would not want any of the nanny state stuff
Does it get riding modes? And also the end cans look different from the outgoing model. Wonder how the exhaust sound has changed.
2 modes as standard. Yes different exhaust still sounds good

Ugh that dash is a disaster. 😢

Thanks
How does it compare to the speed twin 400? I bought that cause i live in the city but am now moving to the countryside…. Would you upgrade?

i ll wait to sat on it in the showrooms, but also to the new bmw f900r....
Look at you hiding from uk weather in spain
I am doing the same, for the last 26 years, in Mallorca, just bought a Trident 660, awesome....

Yeah I know sorry

I’m a man of many skills.
Who put Not_Yoki here? :o
Come on an IMU on a this bike, if you can't handle a 65hp in your right wrist than you shouldn't be riding...
Sh1t clocks for the money, completely wrong for the bike, what were triumph thinking?
I loved the dash on my trident went perfectly with the bike but doesn't suit this style of bike as good.
R.E. dash seems better hmmmm
Pants
I have the 2023 and your description sound’s like its demeanour remains. The concept of beginner or advanced is missed the point of riding altogether.
A classic twin with a single cheap plastic looking ⏰.
No thanks

Would buy one if it wasn't for the Casio LCD clock.
Hey, at least it isn't a g-shock
And the single front router/caliper set up in the front on a 900. Both good examples of engineering to a budget in the worst way.

Looks a bit budget with Mickey Mouse speedo and single front disc…… we see him here we see him there our man Chad is everywhere 👍
Thanks I think

Not a fan of the clock🥲
Yay! Chad for Minister of Transport.
Naff clock(s) and childish paint schemes R US....someone making decisions for 25' in Triumphs marketing dept is a bit shit at their job.
Yeah I could work in the government

So slow
I did my best

I cant stand that ugly display..... Thruxton 1200R got the last normal analog/digital display
Could you please drop the triple welcome introduction to these vids. The repetition is becoming annoying.
No, so sorry this free content is annoying, we might add another just for you.
