Finally, you've been meaning to make this video for a while now! Glad to see it go live. Would really recommend adding 2 slim fans to your set-up Dave; one under the psu and one to replace the cpu cooler. The slim 14mm Scythe or Noctua for better audio levels!

Chernobyl Denier. There are disadvantages like slightly worse thermals and as you have noted, it does cost a bit more. Also, not everyone is going for that clean and minimal set up. I know that these advantages might not seem like a big deal but if you just want a machine that plays games then it’s just unnecessary hassle.

Hi Dave, I work with this HW on daily basis and I would recommend to delid your CPU with liquid metal and swap IHS with cooper one. Plus use solid paste like thermal grizzly. Result?
    Delid - minus around 5 to 7°c
    Copper IHS - minus 7 to 15°c
    T G paste - minus 5°c at least.
Plus depending in the surface of your cooler, you could do die lapping on your cooler and cpu IHS. All this would know down at least 15°C.

They did build the case to fit the old Noctua L12. We tried to convince the designer to widen it slightly so it fit the new L12S with a 120mm fan, which is significantly better, but he didn't want to do it, so now you're stuck with an end-of-life product with only a 92mm fan as the best air-cooling option for this case. Also, the NCase M1 is about the same size and better all-around in my view.

CPU temperature in the 70s is perfectly normal for a small case like this - for a 9900K at 4.8 GHz on a Noctua L12s in an 8L case, it's a great temperature. And it's perfectly safe too, those CPUs can withstand running in higher temps than that just fine...as long as there's no throttling, you're ok.
    Nice and clean build, BTW.
