I really don’t know how or why people say Evolution is too soft. Yes the ballads are soft but all of the other songs are just as pumping as any of their other music. I know every single song this band has produced and the lyrics to 80% of them. This albums rock songs are every bit as well made as any other disturbed song. The main difference with Evolution is the lyrics are very literal rather than metaphoric or poetic like a lot of their songs
I still think that aggressive style from inside the fire , land of confusion or indestructible is not there anymore don t get me wrong the lyrics are not bad but for me it s like something is missing

The first album I ever owned as a child was The Sickness. I've been collecting Disturbed albums ever since. The last album, Immortalized, was as good as Disturbed gets. Unfortunatly, and I hate to say it, this new album doesn't appeal to me. I believe my days as a huge Disturbed fan are over. Not because I dont like this album, but because I feel as if I've grow out of it. I've been exposed to bands like Gojira, Dream Theater, Ne Obliviscaris, Mastodon, and dare I say Primus for their purely escentric, unique sounds and odd complexity. I could name many more but if you were to listen to any of these bands albums you would understand where I'm coming from. Disturbed has made themselves sound generic. I'll never forget the first time I saw them live, it was absolutely one of the most fantastic days I've ever experienced. But every time I hear Disturbed, even with a new song, it sounds like I've heard it before. When I really listen to a disturbed song I don't feel like I'm learning anything new. There are only a few nuances like in David draiman's voice and Dan's guitar playing, but it gets to a point where it's almost repetitive. This sound of Disturbed is unique only to Disturbed, but I'm bored. I can throw on a Mastodon album and ill learn or hear something new that I didn't notice previously. To me its more artistic and abstract, allowing the listener to analyze and study the music. It encourages critical thinking and understanding, with each seed planted in our minds provoking emotions unique to its listener.
On each of the albums that Disturbed has infected us with, I can pick out the songs that played directly along to my life. Disturbed is my life soundtrack! 🤘 Been infected since the sickness of which there is never a cure!

Honestly with the way that the first single debuted I was really thinking this album was going to be close to immortalized. I was so pumped and wanted more if that! I love Disturbed but this album was more of a let down to me. With a dark cover photo that has a helix made of chains and with a name of Evolution I really thought this would have been more heavy even though they said it would be a different sound this time. I also wanted to see more of The Guy as well. Let me just hope the next album is like more immortalized next. Either way I’ll still continue to listen to it all.

All of the heavier songs on this album are way better than most of the songs off Immortalized imo. Immortalized had too much of a radio friendly sound that was lacking what I loved about Disturbed, but that's just me, you do you.

But every time I hear Disturbed, even with a new song, it sounds like I've heard it before. When I really listen to a disturbed song I don't feel like I'm learning anything new. There are only a few nuances like in David draiman's voice and Dan's guitar playing, but it gets to a point where it's almost repetitive. This sound of Disturbed is unique only to Disturbed, but I'm bored. I can throw on a Mastodon album and ill learn or hear something new that I didn't notice previously. To me its more artistic and abstract, allowing the listener to analyze and study the music. It encourages critical thinking and understanding, with each seed planted in our minds provoking emotions unique to its listener.

Not even sure if I mentioned this when this song first came out, but more and more, this song is hitting the nail right on the head of my life's current situation. Because that "head" we are coming to. And it's making me sick.

Honestly with the way that the first single debuted I was really thinking this album was going to be close to immortalized. I was so pumped and wanted more if that! I love Disturbed but this album was more of a let down to me. With a dark cover photo that has a helix made of chains and with a name of Evolution I really thought this would have been more heavy even though they said it would be a different sound this time. I also wanted to see more of The Guy as well. Let me just hope the next album is like more immortalized next. Either way I’ll still continue to listen to it all.

All of the heavier songs on this album are way better than most of the songs off Immortalized imo. Immortalized had too much of a radio friendly sound that was lacking what I loved about Disturbed, but that's just me, you do you.
