Sometimes I feel great pity for Jhariah due to how underrated he is. My guy out here putting his heart and soul into his music, just to not get as much love and attention as he should. I’m legit crying rn 💀
Honestly I could feel the same, and I mean I do, it's just that at the same time I wanna gatekeep them cause their music it's just the best vibes, the drama, the voice, everything, and sometimes it even makes me feel like the first times I listened to Will Wood and Will Wood and The Tapeworms Sometimes it does get a little overbearing to decide what to do and makes me cry too XD Jhariah, Will Wood and others supremacy 🗣️🗣️🗣️

I think it’s really clever to show his own behavior harming himself via him having killed himself, or at least a version of himself, and then burning in hell for that. That juxtaposes itself very nicely with that “Pray to Jesus” line that kind of pokes a little bit of a false dichotomy. I also really really liked the whole ladder bit where he first looks at you through the ladder, not yet in that rut of bad luck, and then later finds himself having to crawl under it, in that same way somewhat indicating that it might be his choice as he chooses to crawl back towards the microphone. Ok now here was the original thing I was going to comment lol, got sidetracked: LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SOOOOO AWESOME
Two fun facts: Our DP Chance is the body double so you could say Jhariah really "carried" the video and crew lol. Also the shot through the Ladder where Jhariah looks into camera was a pick up we found Day of while blocking the shot and worked it into the sequence. Really happy it made it into the edit and adds to the meta self examining aspect of the video/song. Glad ya'll are going so hard and enjoying it! This was a blast to work on.
This was ABSOLUTELY amazing, and that is no exaggeration! I loved the way this was directed, the backgrounds, the editing - all of it was exponentially better than I could’ve ever expected! We all love you so much, Jhariah, please remember your fans are constantly proud of you and happy with what you do. This music video was **perfect.** ❤️🔥👁️📍 * Also, I was the first caller who was in class! So sorry about that, LOL - I was freaking out!! :,)
@@alexkim5838 Japan has a lot of vocaloid, like too much, and it's popularity is in the hundreds of millions, so jhariah taking some of that energy and putting it into his pieces doesn't seem too absurd of a claim.
In Jhariah’s two most recent songs, a message is displayed during the climax/midpoint with no vocals Risk, Risk, Risk had “Now everybody here knows your name!” Pin-Eye has “Give it your all!” I’m probably getting this wrong, but Risk sounds like the step where (I’ll say Jhariah I guess as a character) starts his journey, making connections and getting his name known. Overall Risk is noticeably faster as well, the pacing and visuals are quick and changing. It’s like he’s slowly figuring out who he is throughout the song. Pin-Eye sounds like he’s continuing that journey to an unhealthy degree. He finally settles down, but all the energy he spent getting there was already exhausted. All the risks and challenges Jhariah took to get to where he is catch up to him, and now it’s hitting him. With that being said, I have no idea if the two songs are connected, but I am really looking forward to it!
Not sure what the canon interpretation is, but I can tell you mine on the dead body deal: the cuts back throughout the music video to himself with a blank stare is himself, dead. I think that he killed another version of himself and that as the music video progresses, he gets sent to hell and burns alive as a result of the pain that he causes himself, showing how overworking himself and metaphorically taking himself over the coals only ever serves to hurt him in the long run and it tortures him in an endless loop
I'm calling it now, this guy is gonna be HUGE. He's handsome, he's got the talent vocally, lyrically, and production wise too. The music videos/songs are amazing and unique. Definitely eye catcher videos. Just beautiful 😍 I'm wondering if he has any jazz/blues influences, also not sure why but his cadence and tone reminds me of Brendon urie from P!ATD. Especially in the fever you can't sweat out album.
The swag the rizz jhariah has it ALL In all seriousness though, this really resonated with me, as someone with my fair share of health issues. Just.. wow, I love this
This video was incredible! I loved the details like the snippets from the RISK video and the fact that the glitter makeup spreads over the course of the video and sort of resembles blood and a black eye.
there were a few shots that remind me of stuff from the RISK! music video. (definitely intentional, there’s lore in here somewhere) and the editing near the end was very reminiscent of some music videos during the Beginner’s Guide era.
This song is simply incredible. It's so remarkably catchy, but it's also so poignantly melancholy in tone at the exact same time. I find myself depressing my mind when I listen and yet, almost like a narcotic it makes me want to listen again immediately as it ends. You're doing amazing work here, Jhariah, and I applaud the excellence that you've put out into the world. As to the melancholy relatability that I'm rather getting from this song... In my life, I have exerted myself far too greatly when succumbing to pressures to perform, and almost lost myself to that, even... I've found myself pondering similar questions to the one posed in the chorus quite often. How did I get to this point? How could I go further? And how can I ever possibly go back? Plus, in recent months I find myself catering as counsel to many people who gravitate towards me with a need for advice, consolation, or even just a listening ear. Truth be told, it's extremely tiring and that wears me down too. It's getting to the point where I am still asking those same things but in a different light. I wonder if it's a good time to start being more selfish for my own benefit. 32 isn't too late, I pray. Sorry to wax poetic - I know that's your job (well done!) here, Jhariah - but I feel like maybe I get it. I couldn't truly say. But as a music journalist, I might like one day to interview you, truth be told. haha In any case, bask in this success because you've 100% earned it!
3:24 - 4:11 i always find myself coming back to this part of the song because holy shit, the vocals give me goosebumps every time. this whole song is peak but this part specifically is my favorite
hey so update, it’s been a few weeks, and holy gods this is one of my favorite songs, it frickin means a lot to me and it’s gettin me through some crap right now. Your lyrics are utterly unique, and i frickin /relate/- “put your excuses and your knots inside a million dollar box // when you come to you’ll see it’s worth more than the years you think you lost” is something I needed to hear right now, and also probably one of my favorite lyrics ever. also by the way, this music video? I think I left a comment a bit back, but your cinematography and effects are absolutely out of this world. Especially the way you’ve done your makeup with the red glitter and black eyes- how it emulates a head injury, and how you stumble and struggle after showing the effigy version of you- frickin eerie as all hell, and I love it so much. You pack so much meaning into this music video, and I could go on forever about it. As someone who thinks about the past a lot, and who pushed themself through some stuff that they really should have just slowed down and processed, everything in how you talk about/ represent the past and the present you hits. Like during the breakdown where you’re singing to your past self while carrying the body (of whom I interpret is your past self), both almost wishing you could have changed things and also lending a helping hand to a past you who maybe didn’t even make it, like… I dunno. It means a lot. I didn’t even know you existed as an artist a month ago and now I might go to one of your concerts just so I can chance hearing this song live. Thank you for making this
Still getting chills at the shot at 3:10 . It's so good and really makes the vibes of the song come across super well GOD YOUR MUSIC AND VIDEOS ARE SUCH A BIG SOURCE OF INSPIRATION FOR ME
i have been begging all of my friends to watch this ever since it released. it's so incredibly good. the imagery is so cool. also jhariah's moves at the start are everything to me, that's pretty much exactly how i dance lol. such an incredible song, such an incredible music video.
this song is perfect for me right now. im too tired 2 elaborate but i love this song im so glad i listened to it :) i think that about every song/album of theirs that i listen to though
Hey Jhariah, once again, you've knocked it out of the park with your newest song! i swear, you and the amazing people you work with just keep crushing is and moving forward with every song you make! hope this message finds you well and, as always keep Being uniquely you!
Man, your music videos are top-notch. Some of the best work I've seen. Maybe bands like AJR or Nirvana had the money to like buy a ship for theirs, but yours will always look better in my mind. Thanks for the music!
I enjoyed this song very much. The outro, unlike other of your works isn't too cluttered and still coherent! I love it! And like most of your works, I barely understand the lyrics.
I WAS REALLY BUSY WITH COLLEGE SO I HAD NO IDEA THE GOAT HAD RELEASED NEW MUSIC!! THIS IS SO GOOD, I HAVE BEEN LISTENING TO THIS ON REPEAT FOR LIKE 5 DAYS NOW
Damn dude, thanks for bringing a whole new side to aggressive swing? Jazz (Can’t say I’m super familiar with the distinctions, but I’m most familiar with swing, so that’s why I say that). This is the part of swing that I feel like gets left outta the new jazz genre (as that’s where I see most modern takes on swing be) in particular: the passionate, lungs-full-belting that stays barely tethered to the singer, and the twist you’ve put on it is immaculate. Here’s to a full career for you, my guy, you’ve got this edit: lmao this is definitely not swing, I think I was thinking of “big band jazz” and mixed the two up

You're an icon in our hearts
The fact the intro is actually a whole entire other song called "Collar Bone" Is just so genius. Jhive Jhaugh Jhove Jhariah!
Guys we got to recognize how much pressure Jhariah must be feeling knowing that if he ever made one bad song the world would explode
pressure, you say...?
Its impossible for him to make a bad song … he’ll be fine LMFAO
hmm, perhaps like a pressure bomb?
We're safe
If he somehow manages to drop a non-banger the whole universe would be at risk (risk risk)
This sounds like one of those epic anime openings omg keep up with the incredible music
Hard to pin down the specifics but he does seem to include a lot of tendencies from j-rock and j-pop and sometimes achieves similar vibes
@@alexkim5838 Japan has a lot of vocaloid, like too much, and it's popularity is in the hundreds of millions, so jhariah taking some of that energy and putting it into his pieces doesn't seem too absurd of a claim.

thats actually a good theory, ive always seen pin eye as the consequences of his recklesness in risk
