    Hey JAT! Just wanted to let you know you have been a HUGE inspiration in my VO career, I️ didn’t know what VO was until I️ watched your videos back in 2012 as a junior in high school. Today, I’ve graduated from college and I️ voice network promos for FOX, TNT and Spike TV and others. Thank you for all you do. I️ can not wait to meet you one day and express my deepest appreciation for you!

    I've always loved the art of voice acting. Even just watching it or listening to VA commentary is great to me. Thanks for the videos!

    Wow that's so generous of them to let you keep the scripts and autograph them to give away. Nice thing to hear after a recording session. Great job delivering those lines and getting that timing in :)

    Woohoo another recording sessions vlog. I think these are my favorite blogs on your channel. Really liked the ones from your home studio where you would explain things as well.

    Thanks for sharing James. I love watching your videos, they're utterly fascinating and a wonderful glimpse into a world that I guess so many of us take for granted when we're watching adverts or tv shows! I've noticed that you do a sort of "jazz hand" thing every time you say "Fox!" Love it! Now my question is: are you going to run a competition to give away the signed scripts? :)

    Wow, I had no idea you had to do the timing live like that! I was always under the impression that you recorded it in a few takes that they cut and pasted your audio clips where they needed to go. Clearly I didn't give you enough credit.
    As a side note, who does the scratch track voice? Does he ever get the impression that they might use him one day? It doesn't sound like some average intern recorded it just to be thrown out after you use it

    • @rasengdori13
      @rasengdori13 8 років тому

      +SaturnTubes It's usually the editor or writer of the promo or just someone who generally works in the studio who can do the scratch track quickly just to get it out of the way.

    • @JATactor
      @JATactor  8 років тому +1

      +SaturnTubes It's usually the writer of the promo and most of them have some background in radio and TV commercials... THX

    Isn't it better to stand? I feel like I can't fully use my diaphragm as well if I'm sitting down.

    • @rasengdori13
      @rasengdori13 8 років тому

      +Dio Brando Your breathing is easier and less restrictive if you're standing. Standing also makes it easier to move around more of your body so there's more energy in your voice.

  • @BoukenGreen87
