The music style in the first four Tomb Raider games is so good, the calm tunes and the typical TR tune instruments used for interludes. Sad it was slowly taken out more and more in later games.

It has actually been proven in experiments when they sneak in three or four misspelled words into a text and ask a large group of people to read the text without telling them about the intentional errors. *Very few* people notice the words missing a letter or if a word having the letter combination "ie" is spelled "ei". The explanation for this is that people are focused on the *content* , the structure and the point being made. Nice spotted btw. I never caught it either.

Yeah, it's poorly directed/animated. The characters in Metal Gear Solid 1 and Resident Evil 2 don't have mouth movements either, but the cutscenes in those games look better.

Having grown up initially with the german dub of this game, I'll never understand how they decided to cast some of the VAs that sound so insanely different, but Tony's scene is way more impressive in german, since he actually yells and shouts more believably. Hearing him whisper "dieeeeeeeee~" here, instead of the way he SCREAMS it in german is hilarious.

I might have found a way to record 4k videos on my regular 1080p monitor using Nvidia's SuperSampling feature, lets see how that works out. Hopefully I'll be able to do Tomb Raider 4 and 5 in 4k. If it goes well, I'll redo the videos I've done already to get the quality consistent.
If the source material isn't in HD let alone UHD - what point is there recording it in high resolution? Especially given the limited graphics of the time? You'll see every singe pixel. And besides, 99% of you will either watch this on your 5 inch smart phone screens or a laptop so the whole UHD resolution is indistinguishable from regular HD, or even SD for that matter. You need to have at least a 55 inch tv to see the difference of UHD over HD.
I remember coming home from primary school to this game i was super gassed too happiest times of my life playing all these tomb raider games 😃 one thing i didnt notice as a child is that the level high security compound all the inmates are men 🤣 surely if this was real life lara would have been incarcerated within a womens jail
Same here. I bought a used copy on eBay and I'm playing it on my old ps2. This was a game I never finished and what better time to finish it than during quarantine? This Lara is the best Lara.
