Having finished half of the "Legend" trilogy, I've got now theories on things that confused me for years: -I think Merlin and the xaman of the queen buried in Paraíso might actually be the same person. I think they're Tihocan (the Atlantean king whose body is missing from his tomb in Greece), who would be trying to rebuild the world into something similar to what Atlantis used to be by raising kings and queens through out the world; -I think Basilisks like the one Lara confronts in Arthur's tomb used to be the dominant race on Earth. Because of the healing properties of their venom, the potentially dying race of Atlanteans came to Earth in order to use them, but then Pangea was broken, leading to the extinction of the majority of the serpents. Fortunately, as the Norse myth indicates for Jomungandr, their poison sacks were broken, releasing the venom into...everywhere. Leading the Atlanteans to build that device Natla wanted to use in "Underworld" in order to control the venom's flow; -To know that some of those Thralls in Avalon/Hellheim used to be kings, queens, generals (Lara comments Arthur's tomb is mostly empty and his dias was broken, meaning they rose from the dead thanks to the poison and used the portal)... It's so sad to see what they've been reduced to and how Natla only sees them as tools to be used for her seventh age (potentially planning to turn them into something similar to the Doppelganger). She's completely wicked, sadistic and cruel. The world needs no people like her.
That is very interesting and it makes a lot of sense. It could be that they did used different names in history. What strikes me the most is the fact that Lara doesn't found Tihocans body in the tomb in Greece. So could be that King Arthur was really Tihocan?
@@Eldincy no, I don't think so. Arthur used his sword mostly for combat and nothing in his history indicates he ever thought of using the sword as a teleportation means to expand his territory to the rest of the world. Not to mention the tomb looked too medieval. In "Anniversary", we saw their tombs were more advanced for the people that built them to have put it together on their own. Besides, the story between the king and the queen are way too similar for it to be a coincidence. They both start with some sort of magic mentor taking them in and raising them in similar ways. It makes more sense to believe Tihocan was the sorcerer in both stories. Now, what I don't understand is how he allowed himself to be tricked and used by Nimue. How does a non-human immortal former king fall for a human ?
@@Eldincy by the way, thank you for fixating my comment. The "Legend" trilogy is my favorite adventure of Lara, and I love how each game from it shows us a different layer of her, showing us just how 3 dimensional she really is. The "Survivor" trilogy isn't bad or anything, but I feel like it lacks this complexity in her character, along with her badassery. There's also the fact the adventures in "Survivor" seem to lack an underlying common theme to connect them, unlike the old games. Personally, I only take the first game from that trilogy seriously.
One more remake of Natla and she has the potential to become an iconic antagonist. I really appreciate the changes they made for her in Anniversary and how they continued her story in Underworld. Her design was really cool. And i liked how they remade her more into a magic goddes character instead the pure sci-fi theme.
And we're gonna! the shadow of the tomb raider's alternative ending have a Natla's letter to Lara, coming from India. And now we have rumors of the next game being an open world in India!
Grey Delisle a VA icon and legend and character she voices is the moment. She also did Mandy from the Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Jeanne from Bayonetta and Vicky from Fairly Odd Parents.
I've been thinking of one (no, I don't plan to write it any time soon). It's a mix of "Tomb Raider 2/3" (this game is mostly based on my own timeline for this universe): -The Doppelganger is trying to get her own identity and understand herself by searching the meteor from 3, crossing paths with Sam, who's struugling with Himiko's remnants in her soul; -Lara is facing the cult from 2 with Jonah. The cult is sponsering the scientist from 3, planning to combine the Knife from 2 with the Meteor; -Eventually they crosspaths and switch partners.
Natla saying if Lara was prepared to wait till Odin himself open Helheim was such an iconic line. We def need Natla return. Also I always thought that Amanda looked like Casey Lynch from Guitar Hero 3.

I fully finished the "Legend" saga a few days ago. This truly was when "Tomb Raider" was at its peak. I was just too young to understand that at the time. I was also too young to fully appreciate Natla as a villain. Still, it's a shame the DLCs aren't available for PS3, because this is the exact end Natla deserves. To see everything she worked so hard to create and control not only slip through her fingers, but also play a role in her destruction.
@@Konuvis No, she only began voicing Natla from Anniversary and onwards. It appears as though the original voice actress was Susie Hamilton, although it isn't certain.
Obsessed with how Natla goes from looking like Kim D in Anniversary to Betty Gilpin in Underworld. The work Lara, Amanda and Natla had done between games is insane, I love it 😅😂
This is honestly the best idea if they bring natla into a live action film... But I fear that Disney might not be too happy with their maleficent playing a character with such similar visual traits :(
A case of the remake improving upon the original. Natla was boring in '96 but is a thoroughly fascinating character in Anniversary and Underworld. It truly is a shame that more was not done with her character.
@@Eldincyquite the contrary for me. The original Natla as an advanced human with a superior intellect and sociopathic tendencies is really interesting, much more mystique and almost relatable over being a demonic witch-like mutant in Anniversary. What gives Legends Natla the full advantage is she's fleshed out with better dialogue and longer screen presence. However, The fantasy aspect of the Atlantans in Anniversary felt unfaithful and too fantastical for me. The earlier concept of them as Scientific, technical engineers is more believable, in my opinion. The only two issues with OG Natla was her lack of screen time and her cheesy dialogue. Otherwise, there would be more room for a fair comparison. Peace out ✌️
In Lara's Shadow it's not Lara Croft, who interacts with the damaged Natla, but her shadow, the Doppelganger. Sure Natla commented on "there's too much of Lara in you, slave, for your own good", but she's still not Lara Croft, but a clone, created as a tool in the first place. So the title of the video is quite wrong, when it claims "Lara Croft vs Jaqueline Natla: all cutscenes" and it includes DLC's where Lara isn't present (she is, but not in the scenes with Natla, she didn't know, that Natla survived, the last she saw of her was being hit by Mjolnir and falling into the Eitr and she found out when her clone attacked her, that she's still Natla's thrall and that Natla must be alive then). Just saying. If the title accounted for it by having for example "+ a bonus", or "including DLC", or something, fine, but as it is, it's not correct.
Quite honestly, this was a lot more fun and entertaining to watch than the Angelina Jolie movies. When they first started making the movies in the early 2000s, I thought it was going to follow the original first 2 game storylines. But sadly, that never happened.
I'm perplexed as to how no one is talking about her "with the right incentive, you're just the woman to find them for me" line. It's so blatantly manipulative and malicious that I'm wondering how Lara Croft got caught in the net with that..
@@Eldincy Possible. Though then again, Natla was quite, ehrm.... Quirky that she attempted to kill Lara, as opposed to stating "thank you, here's the money" in the original game.
@@CozyGlow625 yeah you are right she did offer money in the first game. I guess this time she knew Lara and her dad were after that artifact before so she used that to manipulate. She knew Lara won't just give it up so she sent Larson to get it back from her
