Excellent video. Crisp clear instructions, showing the tools used on each of the less accessible bolts. Nice bit of editing too - never seen the point of watching every turn of the ratchet.
This video is brilliant! I used it to change the wing on a 2005 Fiesta. It was surprisingly straightforward to do following the instructions in the clip. I have never done anything like this before. Bought a secondhand wing on the net and a set of small sockets to get to the difficult to reach nuts and saved a lot of money. Thank you so much.
at the 1:50 mark you say "there are 3 bolts "here, here, and here"...yes I see those but two are square plastic not 'bolts" but possibley a shim or adjuster with a tiney screw inside and a tab to push. then you say "you can put the wheel back on" why would you put the wheel on now?
Someone commented on my post that some old fFords had the wings welded on. Apologies that I accidentally put a 2005 Fiesta when it was actually a 58 plate (2008) an d the newer style Fiesta. The video worked great for this car
Would a 2008 focus be about the same? (I hit a deer last night :-( and the passenger fender and hood are a bit crumpled - i was able to drive away though and its not pulling much on the road).
yeah, the 1st and 2nd generation focus should be the same. They look very similar, the headlights go a bit further back and the hood sits a bit higher on the 2nd generation. But should be the same.
Looks like the 2007 focus has something different. Today I tried to take of the front fender as to your video everything goes well, but only one bolt remains which is under that insulation on 0:39 seconds you are showing, but in my focus there is also the whole windshield reservoir placed over there and covering that one bolt and I do not know how to take that reservoir out to rich that bolt. So I do not know what to do now.
Kinda annoyed that it needs so many different bolts removed, but it's good to know that it's not too complicated to detach. Hell, if I have this video at hand, I might be able to do it myself, rather than relying on my mechanic neighbour. Also, I was wanting to learn how to detach the side skirt as I was going to be doing some rear arch rust removal, and I recently learned that the rust will have spread to the metal under the skirt.
Hey Bob, thanks for your comment, from memory you don't need to this. However, willing to be proven wrong (can't remember), are there any videos on UA-cam that show this needs to be done?
Great video sir I just hit a deer and I hit my right fender. I just missed him about it it’s fucking hit it. I’m so upset only car I have think I’ll be OK if I just try to pull it back a little bit I drove home OK I just wanted to fix a little bit better great video.

yeah, its not too bad, some of the old Fords had them welded on :/

Thank you. Easy to follow at a good pace.
Clear instruction. Well done. Helped me to remove my fender inner.
Will this work for my 2016 Focus hatchback titanium?
I am surprised they haven't been welded on. Ford's of this generation are quite easy to work on.
Does this work on a 2008 ford focus?

Would a mk2 2007 focus front wing be as easy or have they used welding on the 07 model?
Idk if you still need this but it's still as easy

Currently trying to do this and can't get those 4 screws out for the life of me idk what I am doing wrong
Time for the angle grinder🤓
Hi do you know if this is similar to a mk6 escort last model before it changed to focus
This is very belated, posting it for anyone else's benefit - no, the Escort will be very different, for a start the front wings are spot welded on.

Nicely done.
Is it the same process if youi want to change the rear fender ?
No such thing as a rear fender. That would be the 1/4 panel which is welded.
Why is everyone calling it a fender ?!!!😬 ... its called a "wing" !!🤷♂️ ..... you're welcome ....😁
Valdas, no. The rear "fender" is part of the car. Cutting and welding would have to take place.
Muito Obrigado meu amigo, sempre que tenho que desmontar algo só acho com você mostrando, muito obrigado!
Thanks, great video.
thank you very much mark, paul excellent mate
Thank you, very helpful.
Thank you!
Thank you Mark for the video I have found it very useful
Waw... i need to download this.... I'm going to change that part soon... i don't have the spanners though
You skipped the removal of the Windshield Washer Resevoir and AC lines, now, didn't you ;) kind of important.
