My first bike 40 years ago was a new 1983 GS 450T I learned on in Ottawa, Canada. When the Navy posted me to the UK (Plymouth), I took her over, and even had a run on the Autobahn while on vacation - hit 165 Km/h on the clock. Thanks for the memories!
on my 450, for that fuel inlet T that leaks, the previous owner of my bike slid some o-rings into the carb fuel inlets for the T to seal against and it seems to work pretty well, the T sits in there snug and doesn't go side to side at all
Thank you for the compliment! The tank is the original gs450L fueltank. I did remove/hide the emblems and holders. I have several video on the tank (timber!!!)
Great insight mate ..... been following this one from the start and me and a mate still tackling early build on a GS425 . Might tap you up for some info as we go forward ........ we are running K+Ns too so might be a good swap of the mains like yours to 140's ? ours are not numbered from memory so needs investigating , will keep you posted .....great build and channel mate keep it up! Cheers Scottie
@@DutchedShedBuilds yes needs bit more work , we are still early stages from a tuning point anyways but got it running and seems ok . Will do a rebuild of carbs , we are running K+Ns and a 2 into 1 exhaust so jets will need upgrading / shouting at etc will deffo contact going forward , appreciate it mate
That Honda that you liked so much had a Velocette engine installed.

Yeah, t-piece for the fuel is a strange thing. The manual does not show any o-rings, but if it works better with then that oke i guess.
Hi , I like your videos. Can you tell me what gas tank is on your GS450?

Thanks, glad you like the video. The 140’s are really a lot better. Idle is still a bit tricky still. Any questions i’d be happy to help!
