For fun, variation, realism and collectors. I think its more fun, when not every new car is the new meta, the game also would get unrealistic very quick.

a game that has pvp in it MUST have some balance and some patches related to that, but there is no profit from that, so it doesn't matter, obviously, and that slow gear shifting is quite stupid, especially with older cars
