  • Caraway Cookware is going head to head with the Sam's (Members Mark) Dupe for this video. Will the dupe hold its own? Will there be a clear winner? Will one fall flat on its face?
    If you have not watched the unboxing of the Members Mark Dupe of the Caraway Cookware, it is here: • Caraway Cookware | Dup...
    I have been searching for a healthier way to cook, but was on a budget. Caraway Cookware’s known for their non-toxic cookware, and recently bakeware. I just cannot justify dropping $395 on such a small set. Enter Members Mark Ceramic Cookware. For just $140 I got a larger set, no shipping, and able to return locally. Saving money is BIG to me.
    After borrowing a friend’s Caraway Cookware frying pan, I did the frying egg test on both pans. As you can see, BOTH were slick, cleaned up easily, and to me, no clear champion.
    What I can say is this, if you own an electric stovetop, spending the extra money on the Caraway Cookware is better for you. Why? Because with the pulsing that electric stovetops do, the pan will hold a more steady temperature due to the thickness of the pan.
    Do you have a gas stovetop? You can get the Members Mark Dupe easily, and save money. A gas stovetop allows you more control of the temperature than the electric.

    I appreciate your review. I went ahead and ordered the Sam's club dupe set of fry pans based on your reviews. I didn't really need a whole set ( even though I wanted it lol)

      Hope you enjoy them, I know we did. come back and let me know your thoughts. Make sure you follow the instructions for prepping the pans. Most people dont realize they have to prep cermaic pans or cook too hot and could have a bad experience.

    Love that you did this video!! Many of the other ones are unboxing. What do you think about the longevity of these??

      I love them so far! I haven’t had any issues. I did drop my small frying pan, so there is a chip in it, but that is my fault.

    Great review, I loved that you used a heat gun to measure how well they held heat! By any chance, have you tried them both without oil? If so, would you say that they both remain non stick even if no oil is added?

    • @TheWholesomeHome
      @TheWholesomeHome  2 роки тому +3

      No I have not. I believe you still would have to add a little bit of oil or butter for it to not stick, BUT I can do another video and test it out! I’ll try to make it in the next few weeks.

    So far, all of the reviews I've read of long-term use of Caraway pans seem to go along with long-term reviews of almost all ceramic pans. They don't hold up with use. There are also reviews of 30-day usage that describe why the buyer chose to return and not keep the cookware. It was enough to turn me against Caraway and any other ceramic cookware. I'll stick with my Hexclad and stainless steel.

      Thank you for your input! I haven’t done anything with Hexclad. I do love my stainless steel. I would love for you to come back and see my long term review later!

    is it possible caraway makes them for Sams?

    • @TheWholesomeHome
      @TheWholesomeHome  Рік тому +1

      It is possible, but not the exact same. These are lighter. I know store brands are made by name brands, just theirs are the end of the mixture or beginning. The same I would apply for these pans.
      They are $30 off for Black Friday. 🙂

      @@TheWholesomeHome How are they holding up now ? I ended up buying the dupe ones. The quality is so so. Arrived cratched on the inside and outside. Paint and the ceramic coating seems very thing and not so smooth around the inside edges. Have asked for a replacement. Hopefully those are better.

      @@er5bm oh no! Mine were not at all damaged like that when I received them. Yes, the the paint on the outside chipped, but I dropped mine. It didn’t chip easily though. I wonder if you received one that was returned? I hope the next one is better! Keep me posted!

    What is this fascination with how easy a nonstick pot or pan is to clean after using as instructed with low to medium heat??? Nonstick cookware is not meant for cooking 97% of your meals in life or even 50%. I think that if people actually took the time to learn to cook more than 10-15 meals they would Grow and learn better results are possible with Quality Cookware of which there are many that are not nonstick

    • @TheWholesomeHome
      @TheWholesomeHome  Рік тому +7

      True. I also have stainless steel, new and vintage cast iron, and multiple others types. This is my first time experimenting with ceramic coated, and wanted to share. I do have ceramic coated cast iron as well, but those are Dutch ovens 🙂
      I love cooking, enjoy testing new products and recipes, and saving money. I did shoot a part of this video testing the eggs to my cast iron pan I use to make fried eggs, but cut it out to keep it shorter.
