She beat Lipnitskaya at JWC last year but then again that was when she was injured. Russia is deep with talented girls. It's going to be intense. I'm still betting on Yulia for 2018!!
And neither ended up anywhere near anything for 2018. Didn't even compete in 2017-2018 season. Russia goes through female skaters like they change underwear.
She could actually become the first REAL Russian Olympic Champion for 2018 after she matures and improves her technique, otherwise she has loads of talent and a specialness that I feel Yulia Lipnitskaya and other Russian juniors lack. I am a fan of both Yulia and Elena and hope for a showdown between these two as they mature into womanhood. Great rivalry in the making.
Yeah, I guess. But if you look at Adelina's track record, she has not even won a major international competition since becoming a senior with the exception of the Inflated scores Scandal that happened at Sochi. I just don't know if Adelina can shoulder the pressure of "reigning olympic champion" when entering back into major competition especially this coming season with the rise of Yulia and Elena, and not to mention American talents such as Gracie Gold and Polina Edmunds. Don't get me wrong, I like Adelina Sotnitkova but much like a lot of the Russian ladies figure skaters, they have bad jumping technique and must improve.
@@alsoleve99 your comment is very old lol but Adelina was pretty much injured throughout her whole career and after Sochi her spine just could not withstand basically any triples. even like two years ago she had to have a spine injury through her throat- skating hasnt been easy on her bodu
I always thought that she was much better than her training mate, Sotnikova. She only proved me right here. Both her performances here were better than Sotnikova's Olympic performance imo. She has a grace and elegence that is really rare, especially at her age. I really hope she still has her technical ability as she grow because I feel that she has the potential to become the most artistic skater in the world. Especially with Yuna gone and the expected retirement of Mao and Carolina soon.
She's a very pretty skater but as for right now I see a very large gap between her and the other two top Russian girls. She's lovely but her skating is a lot sloppier than both Sotnikova and Lipnistkaia at her age. Having said that, she certainly raises above tall the other junior skaters as well as Pogorilaya. We'll see what happens with them in the next quad.
Looks like she's passed the first tests very well! Great vs Tuktamysheva at Skate America and beating Lipnitskaia by a country mile at the TEB. I think she will be the brightest of these Russian stars.
I love to go through the old comments to find something like this. As we see they ALL disappeared in the past 2-3 years. I'm curious how it will be with the junior girls that we have right now, especially with Trusova or Zagitova.
Куда лучше, чем нынешние программы квадисток! Какая красивая программа! Не то что у нынешних, разбег-прыжок, разбег-прыжок....
She's really really perfect
Perfect performance
Perfect tecnique
Perfect music
She totally deserved Gold medal at the Olympics 2014. She is AMAZING!

She has the most exquisite bellman spin i've ever seen.
The star for 2018, love Elena's joy on the ice.
look like Julia will have a tough competitor
I like radionova better than lipnitskaia... julia doesnt smile.. always scowling as if shes not enjoying her sports
But Yulia attitude is cool, ice cool

I wouldn't write off Adelina. At the Russian Nationals she was ahead of both Lipnitskaya and Radionova. Not mention the OG
