Fantastic high quality product made in Ohio! My wife and I bought this as a Xmas present for ourselves…exact model 3/4 horse #12. Perfect size for our homesteading endeavors. We plan on raising hair sheep for both meat and land management. I also appreciate the detailed parts and instruction manual that comes with it.
I have the same grinder & love it! I use the medium plate when doing my burger meat. I also run 2 pieces of bread through the machine to help clean out the remaining meat in the auger. IMHO, there is not a better home grinder for the price!
Getting ready to buy the #22 I think...this makes me wanna get the 32 now! Lol Anyway, very informative video, thank you. I appreciate it coming from someone who has used commercial grade stuff. Subscribed.
@@adifferentkindofcut I dont know about them, but i JUST DID. Been running a #8 as long as I could rememmber. I was going to get the #22 with dual grind, but happened to be on their website over thanksgiving and discovered they now sell dual grind adapters for the #32!! I ordered the #32 grinder, adapter to dual grind, and the 2" tube for getting the meat into the plastic meat bags when making my breakfast sausage. Hoping with this unit, I can coarse/medium ground in 1 pass AND get the meat into the bags all in 1 pass. with the larger unit, it should also mean less cutting in prep for the grinding. No more 1" cubes!!! Cant wait to get this thing in and put it to use.
Do you think you could do a video on meat combinations you use for making burgers? Are there combinations you like, are there particular types of meat that don’t work well in your opinion?
Great video dude. İ just got a similar machine, was wondering if your auger has any impurities and dents? İ think i got a bad batch one... Yours looks more polished.
@@adifferentkindofcut hmm. my knife cutter chipped on the first use and the auger has like a few dents because the neck mold has a piece of metal sticking out.... Yeah İ think i got unlucky
Yes, oil the treads before you screw on the head lock. You can also tap the head lightly it will loosen up. The only reason it locked up on you is because the fat and gristle is being pushed threw so tightly it forced the blade into the plate and the head lock. Tap it lightly with something plastic or wood. Not metal it should loosen up
another simple trick is remove the grind plate and of course keep your fingers away from the blades but just run the grinder without the outside plate and the blade will come right out wit all the gunk on it.
Just paid $899.99 and shipping to Alaska was… a lot. Watch for sales from LEM though. Pretty sure they’ll have a Black Friday one too. Just not sure what will be left in stock by then the way supply chains are messed up lately.

No it doesn't it's pretty smooth. But I have used many along the years that have been pretty beat up so I'm sure yours will work just fine

Do you know if that machine can grind chicken bones. Or beef bones. Tia
@@christianaguilar6724 I would not put bones through this MEAT grinder.
