Glad you did a caparison, need to turn them on though and show that difference the best you can. I own 31As and DTNVS with L3 tubes, no one likes to mentioned how the glass on the 31s is a nicer glass (not saying pvs14 glass is bad) my 31As are 2500/2600 fom tubes very clean and my DTNVS are 2700/2800 fom tubes also very clean but the 31As have a better image quality and even seem brighter even though the DTNVS technically have better tubes. LG on the 31s is 68k and 67k and the DTNVs are almost identical with one tube being 70k and one being 66k on LG spec (luminance gain is LG)

Whats the biggest difference of i guess immage quality? Ive looked through 31a's and they are so crisp and clear. But with what i need the features that the 31d's have make them much more appealing. Is there a big difference there?
@@ZuluNylonGear 31 deltas are usually factory built units with thin filmed white phosphor tubes, I was wondering since you had both units side by side how they compared to the unfilled 31 alphas
They meet certain minimums but the specs are still different so it’s not really an apples to apples comparison. That being said, they are close enough to where I couldn’t tell you which was which blind.

They're not Filmless. Dont get that mixed up junior. They call it UNFILMED for a very reason. Its just a different type of thin film. @@breylankemp7596

the battery pack is universal so it's most likely compatible

Image quality is entirely dependent on the tubes in the unit

Manual gain is hugely important. Go 1531s or 31as
