I love that you didn't ruin the dining table! And I was so worried the top was glued on but. . . nope 😊 Also the stain you chose will be much easier to see your work on. Also it was only a reproduction and veneer is such a pain to work with 😅
ngl, to me you are THE DEFINITION of girlpower! Every time I think of asking someone for help with something I first ask myself "would Hazariel do this herself?" and if the answer is yes I at least give it a try. This lead to me using a table saw for the first time today (was amazing, I felt very cool) You inspire me a lot, with every video I watch I just gain creative energy. You´re wonderful
“It is a stupid and fun idea. You can’t stop me.” As a writing teacher, I will be quoting you. It is exactly the attitude we need to create amazing things .. and to keep a child’s ability to imagine and invent going strong as they pass through the difficult teenage years until they realize those qualities which felt the most vulnerable at one point are their strongest assets as adults. ❤
I am an admitted voyeur of other people’s decorating so thank you for letting us in to your newly formed creative haven. Also, I applaude your dedication to “making it authentic” even if it can’t be used for it’s original purpose. It levels up my respect for your artistry. 😊 Full marks. 🎉
RIP musical metal sheet. 😭 Your organisation is so satisfying to watch! I love it! I only hope to have a studio some day big enough to pull all my sewing things out of their boxes and organise them so well as this! Brava!
You don't sound controlling you just want everything to have a place and know where it is. I love your videos and you sound so sweet and caring. So don't worry so much. This is your happy place and making you happy doing this and showing us how it's done thank you.
What a fabulous transformation! Whimsy yet practical!! I love how you problem solve without a trip to the stores to buy things. The decorations are wonderful. Thank you for taking us along on another project journey. I love that you show yourself using power tools. I grew up with a Dad that said girls don’t touch tools! So I always had to wait for someone to do things for me. When I got married my husband said you can do this stuff yourself! Then showed me how to use the different tools. I got a band saw for my 40th birthday and a belt sander and a drill press for Mothers Day! Pretty soon I had an entire work shop full of my own tools. I made and sold wood crafts for about 15 years. It was wonderful! LADIES, don’t be afraid of power tools! Have someone show you how to use them safely. You can do it!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
This is so cool! I love how handy you are and that so many of the decorative pieces are actually functional. This video very much has the energy of if Simone Giertz is building a sewing room, and really if you two ever encounter/collab I can only imagine what you come up with :)
Knowing cats, it wouldn't be satisfied unless it was IN THE MIDDLE of your work. Shedding or shredding expensive materials ! Lol ! I DO love cats, but I think I would use a screen door to keep cat out of the room. P.s. I was a Vet. Tech. years ago and having seen a cat get a needle and thread surgically removed (cat was very lucky that owners brought him in quickly!) I am SUPER careful with sewing supplies around pets !
I love your creative decor. I’m a 68 year old wannabe crafter and sewer. I enjoy seeing how craft/sewing rooms are organized. I used to be very organized but need to get back to that. Enjoyed your video.
Hey, you could digitize those patterns and sell them online as electronic files, and get yourself some passive income. I'll bet you have amazing patterns that NOBODY else will have available! Also I am crazy-jealous of that work room. Sigh...I have a sizable old Edwardian farmhouse where I once imagined room to work, and then my adult kids returned home. Currently considering the attic. Thanks for the ideas on how to group things and store them. Great job! Happy Holidays.
This is fantastic! I love turning our own spaces into whatever fantasy look we've always dreamed of. Then again, I am thinking that Ariel is going to become a found objects sound designer, using metal objects to make music next, LOL.
You showing your well organized room gave me the best chills! The satisfaction of knowing where everything is, the labels, the rainbow order... Beautiful! Very tough and hard work, many months and you accomplished a AWESOME room!
You are my soul sister. A woman of many talents as am I. Love love love you wall decor ideas and def will be using them in my stamp sized sewing room. Thank you YT for promoting this channel by showing it to me.
Love love love the giant decor, especially the needle and spools they look so great. Looking forward seeing this room evolve with time and projects. Also it felt very satisfying to see everything organised neatly !
My arrow hit that like-button, and I scrolled down to comment the moment I saw you succeeding in bending that steel rod, that is super impressive! Now that I have watched the entire video, I am so envious... I love, love, love the organization of your craft rom, especially all those shallow drawers are a DREAM for me, as I guess they have been for you! The time it took you making decorations turned out to have been well spent, every single item is well made, whimsical and on theme, and they pull together the different areas of the space. Bon travail, mon amie (qui ne savait pas qu'elle etait mon amie), et joyeux nöel!
I do not think you have to apologize for being organized nor for the fact that it is a calming process for you. I feel EXACTLY the same way and hey! if one has to have a "thing" to control anxiety, it's way better than say hording or an unhealthy relationship to food or drugs or, or, or. So organize and label away. I am wid ya sistah.
I complete understand your need to organize and the joy you get from being in an organized space! "A place for everything and everything in it's place." Easier to find things and more importantly., to put them away.
We are kindred spirits for organizing 🌈 I also have giant buttons, safety pins and scissors. didn't realize I needed a giant needle and spools of thread 🧵 until this thoroughly inspiring and lovely craft room makeover. Thank you!😻
Yes, I always appreciate your dedication and creativity. I am glad to have helped with the protective equipment. It makes me happy to see people take care of their health and safety. .
I think I would put a full-length mirror above the heater on the left of the window. I find that when I look at projects on the mannequin in front of the mirror, I find little things I don't see looking at it head-on. Love the space! 🏠🏠🎨🎨🧑🏼🎨🧑🏼🎨🧵🧵🪡🪡🐈🐈💖💖💖💖💖💖
That was totally awesome! Croissant slippers and giant sewing items! 🤣 I laughed out loud when you dumped all the yarn in the big container!!! I've done that before!!! 🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for sharing! Blessings of love and light to all!
This channel is such wonderful comfortable vibes. I especially love the home renovation videos. The ability to make such a beautiful, customized, and whimsical space is the stuff of fantasy to me.
I just adore your handmade scissors, safety pin and buttons!!! Very whimsical! Your storage units are so,etching I really need to get. I do junk journals, and have ALOT of papers that need a home. I just found you and I’m so glad I did. I love your sense of humour, your organizational skills and most of all, I love your sparkle. Keep shining! ❤
If you have the motivation, that table bottom you took out to the garden would make a lovely raised garden bed. Maybe for herbs if you like to cook. Or just lovely flowers.
What a great Craft room .....and I frikin LOVE those Buttons , Scissors , Thread and Needle ...so BORROWERS!!! FRIKIN GENIUS! Many years ago I went along to a Sing-a-long Sound of Music as a Lovely Goat Herd and before the show they had a Costume comp where different groups went up on stage ...Like Nuns, Von Traps and Misc... of course I went up ...my fave costume was a Woman dressed as a HUGE Spool of Thread carrying a 6 foot wooden needle !!! You just gave me those Feels again! I especially love that You can still use those tins as storage !!!!!!
I thoroughly enjoy watching your videos! You make me laugh, you have amazing talent, and I love the way your ideas come to fruition… usually in the most hilarious way!😁💗🤣
I totally understand what you mean! Over the past year, I've been working on turning a pre-built shed into my dream yarn studio. And now, here I am on New Year's Eve, making my second cup of hot tea in the studio. It's truly mind-blowing. Although I still have some work left to do, I find comfort in organizing and purging things that are no longer needed. As a homeschool mom and caretaker, having a dedicated space to craft has been an escape and a source of solace for my soul. Here's to new spaces, new experiences, and a world of creativity at our fingertips. BTW I am in love with the giant spool of thread and like you my fabric stash was a hot mess! 🧶🥳💗
I'm incredibly glad that, for once, youtube did a good job by recommending your canal. I'm in the middle of the designing phase of our home, and as I was starting to takle the working area, watching this video helped me, not only by reminding me the importance of whimsy, but to remind me that I also need a sewing place, watching yours gave me great ideas!! Since you inspired me so much, I'd like to share some info that may be interesting to yo: I've been learning how to restore antique furniture and, unless you have a very very old very very expensive one, the most common thing is that the long thicker parts (like the top of tables) are made of mdf or any sort of human made "wood" with rims and a thin veneer, because it's cheaper and it deformes less over time. The rims in older furniture are around 0'5-1cm thick, instead of the very thin ones we see today, and sometimes the veneer were also thicker, so don't feel fooled, it was custom I think since the 60's. The rest of the furniture was made of fine wood, except the less visible parts, like the sides of the drawers or the back of the furniture, that were often made out of cheaper wood. If you want to know if an old furniture is good quality, look at the back (if the panels are made out of mdf it's not that good) and the unions, like the ones of the side of the drawers. If the drawers are mounted with box joints or dovetail joints, that's a furniture made to last. If you see nails or screws, it's contemporary but made to look like old. These also tend to weight way less that you would think they should, because they're made with low density wood, since they're very easy to carve, but also very fragile and easy to dent. I hope it was useful!
My first thought on the table being dark was that it's perfect for the whimsical dark academia vibe throughout the house and yelling not to touch! But it looks gorgeous natural and everything fits gorgeously together. ❤️
as an American that took French in high school, it's soooo nice to hear croissant pronounced correctly! LOL Also, it was very satisfying to hear whenever you'd slip in French words and phrases. The language is just so pleasant sounding to me and I've always really loved it. I took it in high school not because it made sense, I live in Arizona, everyone looked at me weird when I said I was studying French and I often got asked, "Why? Spanish would be more practical." I always just replied, "Because I like the language and country and want to learn more about it." It was always weird to me that I had to justify why I was taking a class lol Why did it matter so much to people?? lol Anyway, tangent over.
_Tip for moving heavy furniture_ - use plastic lids from take-away containers to move heavy furniture by placing them under the feet of the object. Makes sliding So much easier. The knife is lovely. As is the studio. Well done, you. All good inspiration for my own space. - Cathy (&, accidently, Steve), Ottawa/Bytown/Pimisi
I am so impressed that your large tool decorations are functional and you made them all yourself?? Excellent. The room turned out incredible too and it looks like a dream.
Love the giant sewing items! The room looks fantastic, and you muscled everything into place yourself; damn, you're as strong as an ox! Well done, Ariel! Wishing you a Wonderful Holiday Season, xoxo's Sandie
Oh my goodness….all your drawers of little things had me 😮..so beautiful. This video fed my obsession with organizing all the crafty things, thank you 🥰
I adore the whimsical crafts you added to your sewing room. Now, what will you do with the library? Merry Christmas to you and the cat that adopted you.
Whimsy needs no why 🥰 Also your explaining that you like to help organise other's spaces, label, rainbowify, and the the playing with the sounds the metal sheet and tins made is just like my brain 😅
I agree--organizing is so fun!!! ❤ I'm 67, and moving furniture around is still one of my favorite things--though I don't know how much longer I can do it.
Pro tip… Amazon sells these little plastic circles with foam on top. They come in different sizes… You slip one under each corner and it makes it sooooo easy to move heavy furniture!!! EDIT: “Now that’s a knife!”
My envy is fierce. I have been hunting for skinny drawers and other furniture that will both work for me without leaving me broke with very minimal success.
Have made a giant thread spool bin for my Mother’s Christmas gift, just need to add four or five rows of macrame cord to finish it off after attaching the hand painted wooden topper. Love it so much that I will be making one for myself after Christmas.
Wow! This is some craft/sewing room. I'm actually envious of what you have created on your own, better yet, the dedication to work that hard to complete each project. I like crafting, but never to the extent of your dedication. Well done!
I love putting furniture together and labels are *perfect*. Lets make a deal, you organize, I'll build the bazillion shelves lol ❤❤ This whole video is a delight (as are you!) and I'm going to copy some of these ideas Your partner's knife making was fantastic! I love how rustic it looks (sorry if that's not intentional) The croissants slippers for the French seams made me nearly spit out my tea

So very true. A masterclass in creativity.
I am going to start doing this. I've been afraid of powertools my whole life as a clumsy person, but with *safety* in mind I will be asking WWHD?
@@Lyissafulyessss you’re going to be unstoppable!

You could have a nice side-business by renting out the giant scissors to locals for ribbon-cutting ceremonies.
I can inaugurate so many stuff now!
I can't wait til I get my own apartment & then I can organize my art supplies
The fact that your thread and beads are sorted by color gives me an inordinate amount of joy.
RIP musical metal sheet. 😭
Your organisation is so satisfying to watch! I love it! I only hope to have a studio some day big enough to pull all my sewing things out of their boxes and organise them so well as this! Brava!
There is a video of someone playing Ave Maria on the musical saw here on UA-cam. It is a fitting tribute. ;-)
You don't sound controlling you just want everything to have a place and know where it is. I love your videos and you sound so sweet and caring. So don't worry so much. This is your happy place and making you happy doing this and showing us how it's done thank you.
In awe of your power tools and expertise! Organization can be very calming and conducive to creativity.
Someone who understands me!
Exactly 💚
OK, I love the idea of a foot stool in the shape of a giant spool of thread, with the lid lifting off to store things!
What a fabulous transformation! Whimsy yet practical!! I love how you problem solve without a trip to the stores to buy things. The decorations are wonderful. Thank you for taking us along on another project journey.

The cabinet with this kinda abstract golden tree looks really cool!

The giant sewing tools are so awesome!! And so is the knife your partner made!
I love how your garage is basically just hammerspace where you can find anything the plot (or in this case crafting project) requires.

I was thinking this too! She already does such musical reveals, adding in found objects music sounds like the next step.
the sewing scene in Cinderella is one of my favorite Disney scenes of all time!
"Scissors, pattern weights, pins, pliers, Dave, pens..."
Every sewing/craft room should have a Dave. This is now law.
The room is amazing! Love all the fun decorations. I'm with you about organizing and labelling. If you don't label you forget where you out things!
I adore the giant sewing stuff!
another possible thing, a rolling chair that is made to look like an even bigger thread spool!

Oh that was so fun! You can even put some pot hooks on your big safety pin to hang some baskets or something.
Or put holes in pattern pieces and use it like a giant paper spike! Xx
Squeak, squeak, squeaky draws need a rub down with a wax candle on the runners. AND what a fabulous room.

I love organizing, too! I am watching this while I am sorting through boxes from my closet/storage :)
For squeaky drawers you can use a stick of soap and rub it on the drawers and the tracks. Makes them slide much more effortlessly.
This made my little Burrower heart so happy. Now we need an Arietty cosplay
Watching this made me think of my teenager's mother who is no longer with us. On a happier note, I have an acquaintance that actually plays the saw.
You crack me up! Which is a huge bonus because you're so full of interesting ideas too. I'll keep watching I think.
these gigantic tools are so fun! Congrats on your finished room
I love that noise with the metal. I used to make it with my Dad's saw (he was a carpenter).
I love that you're so organized you even have space for stuff you'll organize later lol
Congratulations!

Your studio (and this video) - an awesome blend of wonderful organisation, fabulous whimsy and seriously impressive practical skills.
Loved the oversized tools, especially the thread tins, decorative and practical!
Ton atelier fait rêver!
Love the giant decor! Knife is awesome too.
Well done!
I love all the oversized sewing items. Great job on those. Thanks for sharing!
It’s a beautiful knife~ It’s so adorable!
That is a SUPER COOL KNIFE! 😮
I love putting furniture together and labels are *perfect*. Lets make a deal, you organize, I'll build the bazillion shelves lol ❤❤
This whole video is a delight (as are you!) and I'm going to copy some of these ideas
Your partner's knife making was fantastic! I love how rustic it looks (sorry if that's not intentional)
The croissants slippers for the French seams made me nearly spit out my tea
