Chris Wolstenholme famously said he dreads playing this song because it’s bloody exhausting. It’s known as the _The Finger Crippler_ for a reason. 🤪 [Fiercely proud of our Devon boys! 🖤]
Dave is right in his assumption that it must sound great being at a Muse concert. Seen them live 3 times and they have THE best sound live. I've seen a lot of concerts but they just sound A1.
@@samechick Right!?! I mean, they still have enough fans that they have arena tours here in the US. (Or at least they always have a great crowd here in DC??) It just seems like the kids that are in their teens and 20s now listen to crap music? And, other than Billie Eilish (and her brother Finneas), I'm underwhelmed by the music coming out today... (That said, if you know of a newer/young artist that I should be listening, please let me know!)
@@samechick Its nuts, but I found out about Muse through the movie Twilight in 2007 which I watched with my sister..... Super Massive Blackholes played during the baseball scene and I was like "wait a minute, who the fuck is this song by". That let me to their HAARP concert at Wembly and I have devoured everything Muse ever since. Its my dream that they will get popular enough to do a superbowl hafltime... they would absofuckinglutely kill it. Probably will never happen, but I can't get enough of Muse.
Takes me back to seeing Muse at a festival years ago, my friend wasn't really a fan of them and wasn't bothered about seeing them so he wont off to watch another band. Of course Muse blew the roof off as usual and the following week at my house watching the highlights of the festival with said friend it showed Muse playing this song and his face literally dropped lol he had no idea they rocked this hard and has regretted not seeing them ever since!
this is by far their best concert. Hysteria is my go to song, when I want to introduce the band. You cant put Muse into one song, but I feel Hysteria gives an image of what you can expect
In this same year, 2013, Muse also played in Monterrey Mexico where 3 girls, 13, 11, and 8 got to see their idols live and in concert. Two years later they would rip through this song live in front of their school before heading off to the Berklee College of Music for a summer music program. Fast forward 8 years and they wrapped up opening for Muse 9 times, 4 in Mexico and 5 times in Europe. The Warning just celebrated their 10th anniversary and posted a video about it on their UA-cam page. In the video, opening for Muse is cited as their most important moment of their career.
Such an epic concert. Keep them comin!! They have so many good songs so you’ll have endless content. Lol. Try super massive black hole live at Rome or survival live at Rome. Honestly anything from that concert. 😉
Great dynamic tune. Excellent sound. Here's a nice track for an awesome Dave critique: the band, Lucifer with their track, "Phoenix" (Music, video + Lyrics) version. Band has a great 70s vintage sound.
@@samechick Please do this version of MicroCuts. It's the best one I can find. Its Montreux Jazz Festival 2002. ua-cam.com/video/mleNDcgRVyU/v-deo.html Thanks and great reactions too. Lovin them all.
They played this at The Brits 2004. Before MUSE ....Boring ....After...i can`t remember . I felt it was one of those moments like when Queen came on at Live Aid ....no one could top them.
In one of the interviews, bassist Chris says he hates playing this song live. I believe it was because it's pretty challenging to play in that speed with accuracy. Correct me if I'm wrong other Musers out there.
They sound amazing live because they spend too much on production, gadgets and other stuffs, matt even said they only breakeven on stadium tours because of how expensive things are
If Bach wrote rock, he would have wrote that bass line.
Matt swinging that guitar is very iconic in all his performances. Even the red pants too.

I can't comprehend how are they not popular in the US, I feel like I'm taking crazy pills
I think they enjoy some popularity here but not quite the level they seem to have in Europe.

@@henryisabeast4218 Hopefully they will start touring again soon.

Hysteria was the first Muse song I heard (and downloaded on iTunes back in the early-mid 2000s)! I was immediately obsessed!

I'm probably on my 20th listening of this Muse playlist here now. Nobody does this better. It's kinda timeless what Dave does. Never gets boring.
Knew Dave would like this one, it's a banger. 🤘😁
He told me it was one of his faves so far for sure!

Survival is on the list! Added Super Massive Blackhole! Thank you Xrp!

I thought I had responded to this already. I think youtube is buggy.
For something different from Muse react to Unsustainable live from Las Vegas and Micro Cuts live from Hullabaloo
I was just thinking about these two as well!
Hi Miralex! Unsustainable is already on the list but I've added Micro Cuts! Thank you for the suggestions =)

This Whole Concert was Absolutely Awesome. You Should Check out The Song Resistance too its One of my Personal Favorites by Muse.

It may be true. But it’s songs like these that really show how talented Chris is
He said it hurts playing that lol. Just like Dom hates playing Knights of Cydonia 'cause it's exhausting for him.

check the roskilde version (with munich jam at the end), best version out there
This song made me want to learn bass, but drummer hands...
