I love how everyone screamed when the ghost host asked them to, it just shows how excited everyone was for this new holiday change and I love it!

And they don’t teach you about the queue for the scream
Aaaaaand in less than 3 minutes we discovered WHY they discontinued the "Scream-Along"...
It was too loud
But they should bring it back

@@ThatThemeParkFreak It was cute outside when it was intended, but the rest of the ride is where you would want to listen to the characters, especially in the stretching room.

My ears broke when jack appeared in the stretching room!
Nobody has pointed this out, so I will. The plants in the first room sings "Deck the Halls", this was the first and only year that they sang that, it was changed to "Kidnap the Sandy Claws" in 2002
First season they didn't have the rights to the music :)

I remember reading the newspaper that advised Haunted Mansion Holiday was opening its doors at Disneyland. We went that same year!
I remember seeing this for the first time 20 years ago. I watched the movie for the first time and I absolutely loved it. When me and my mom rode in the doom buggy we called Jack skeleton a naughty skeleton.

Wow! All of the people are screaming when jack skeleton appears in the ceiling of the stretching room at 2:39. That was so loud when it hurt my ears
The year I was born! To bad I never got to see the original HMH soundtrack at the Mansion:( I do however use it in my yard Haunt cause it's so good!

I don’t think Disney could pull off the screaming thing today. Everyone would be on their phones and not even pay attention to the setup to it in the queue lol
Yeah idk either, but when guardian of the galaxy: mission breakout first came out, everyone was interacting with the hand scan thing.

Dude that's gonna reaaallly be scary if they still keep that, no offence i love it and it made a great scare out of them, but what happens if he fell off and smoosh everybody like a grape. Probably this is the reason why they removed him from the holiday attraction in the first place.

I actually want to go back to this season of Haunted Mansion Holiday because this was the time that it was a brand new overlay. The absolute only thing I don’t like about the first year of Haunted Mansion Holiday is the obnoxious Scream-Along. It’s fun when it’s a game outside, but in the stretching room, it is awful. You can’t hear Jack talking.
