Edge kote is almost like a rubber when dry

While I appreciate the tutorial, it does not reflect my experience with edge kote... be it on rough edges, gum trag or water slicked edges, edge kote shows really inferior adhesion and rubs off when coming in touch with moisture, even after a week of drying. guess I must be doing something wrong.

I have the same issue as well. This video didn't really show much.

Same issues with all kinds of edge paint that I've tried. I think any paint that sits on top of the surface will come off. Id like to try a paint that is absorbed, maybe oil based or something. I saw a video of someone using Fenice and it looked amazing and absorbed.

I have never tried edge kote.
I was thinking you should not slick the surface especially not with gum but rather let it be ruff so the paint adhered better, like you would do with most paint in almost all applications.
In this video he make the edge slick.
