Intex Pool Pump not working.... Easy fix. I couldn't find out why it keeps stopping... The motor runs, it just stops pumping.

This did the trick! I found a drill bit that was the same size as the broken rod. It was much easier than cutting a hanger. Thank you!!

Thanks very much for this. I was able to revivie my pump and it works like new. However, I used a 2mm brass rod that I bought in a local store. Brass is not- magnetic so it functions like the original impeller sharft.

My pool pump stopped working about 3 weeks ago. I’ve tried so many different things. The pump is supposed to auto run on its own every so many minutes. For some reason, I can only get it to run for a few minutes when I hit the reset button on the plug. Do you have any idea why this is happening? The outlet works because I have lights running from the same outlet. I’ve even tried a different outlet and it’s the same problem. It never auto runs and it only works for a few minutes when I hit the reset button on the plug. But never turns on its own automatically. My water is now getting algae build up. 🤢

doesnt the shaft need to be fixed to the impeller or tight inside the magnet to turn the impeller.

I have a model 603 pump. The pump motor is inaccessible it's encased in plastic

I have the same model 603, take all the screws out from the bottom underneath. Motor comes out, take out the screw on top and twist white plastic, you can then access the shaft. Parts look a little different from the video but works the same.

Thanks. It worked for me. The trick is you need a coat hanger with that coating on it.
