Hope you enjoyed the video! Did you like the longer format / more inclusive video over the short snappy ones I've been doing lately? Let me know! Good luck out there this season everyone! I'll have plenty more truck camping adventures to come! So let me know where I should go next or what its first XC road trip should be!
I bet you if I go up there any day of the spring, summer or fall months I probably Catch you there? HAHAHH Although you don't know at all I think I know you by watching your videos I think I know you somewhat well. You're a good man!
Jesse, dude, your shots are getting so good, especially the intro and transition shots, really making the best use of natural light, you keep upping the production quality! Super impressed my man!
Thanks Sean! I always try to improve one thing with every video. However, my goal now is to try to keep the quality up wile being more consistent with putting out videos.
@@MainelyOutDoors well, springtime will certainly help with that. I personally feel like it's all about documenting your filming workflows when you find what works best and generally sticking to them. Obviously being an outdoor production, mother nature may not for example allow you to film all 15 minutes of your preferred B-roll footage prior to beginning action filming and you might be forced to wait until later in the day, but following a known-good routine is the ticket, just like fishing itself. Tight lines and take care dude!
I grew near the area you fish. Used to have a family camp on Dobsi! I dropped your name to another youtuber named Mav... Looks like he's heading east!!! told him he should look you up an go FISHIN BUD!!! lol Fishin with a Ford!!
Jesse , this such a very nicely produced video! Love everything about your new truck and build. Looks so functional and comfy. And, smartly you didn’t venture too far. That’s wicked how that the layer of frost melts and forms basically sinkholes we call them. Easily you’ll be sunk in them. Also so cool to see you hook and land 3 beautiful salmon! Cheers to yet another great year ! Hopefully this is even a better one for you. Great job on your tying btw. I need to try to tie up some retrievers. Wonder if they will work on my local streams. Again, I always like your demeanor and approach to your outings. Important to take your time and take breaks to unfreeze those toes that are like blocks of ice. Good luck and keep it going. Tightlines!
Great video, looking forward to more Spey rod stuff. Just took a lesson from a great guy in Oakland. Doing some research to figure out what I want buy.
Thanks! We'll see they are difficult to film and usually don't do as well on the channel. So it's hard to invest the editing time in them. Its not out of the question though you might see one!
Love the simple setup of your truck camper and enjoy your video. Looking forward for the start of my season, hopefully the price of the fuel will go down cause it will limit my traveling.
I have yet to catch my first spring trout but havnt had a chance to try my honey holes yet. Can’t wait to see what you get into this year on your adventures
Awesome vid Jesse and if you want fresh coffee out in the bush I would recommend the Stanley Classic Travel Press or the GSI Outdoors Gourmet Pourover Java Set and I have both and they both work really good French press is stronger bitter and pour over is less bitter milder Determines on how you like coffee and I like my coffee bold and dark and strong my favorite coffee is 4 tablespoons green mountain dark magic in a Bodum 34oz French press with a 10 minute steep with 12oz of 180°F water
I'll have to look into getting one for the truck. Some times im lazy and just want coffee fast but definitely would like the option to have a good cup of coffee int he bush!
Great video. I’d love to build one of those truck camping setups. But at 6’1” I’m not sure I’d ever get comfortable. Anyway, really appreciate the videos, always enjoy watching. ETA: do you have a come-along in one of those big drawers? Mine has saved me more than once when I get stuck while plowing!
Good video I’m getting the same setup with the shell and decked Please make a video showing how you made the slide out cooking station Also what is the length of your truck bed ? Thanks
Thanks for mentioning that! I didn’t know about that product until now but it was one of the first things that I realized I’d need to find a solution to during my trip
Wait.....they un thaw? Or do they thaw? I’m just giving you a hard time.....I honestly don’t care 🤷🏼 it just proves I’m paying attention * however I’m pretty sure Charlie Berens says that’s how midwesterners say it...
I actually am disappointed with the new build. Nothing special or personal at all. Sorry but a used fold down slide in would be better even add weight for traction and take it out when not in use and there is your daily driver
I was the guy that won your first hat giveaway I'm from Waldo county we have great Brook trout fishing and other trout but I'm the type of person that hits a stream and walks it fishing id love for you to contact me even if it's not a vid I would like to take you to some of my spots county wise IDC most ppl don't go where I go. Fly fishing really isn't a thing around here it's to tight. And my cousin is allot like you we should get together soon within the month catch some really nice brooks and he knows places you might be able to fly too. I'll send you a email let me know if you want to meet up

My God you are brave in this weather and cold, but you are a true sportsman. Nice job Jesse. Nice job on the truck also. Spring is here.

Thanks I appreciate that! I dont often consider my self a teacher but ive been trying to improve that lately.
Nice slamon Jesse! Hoping to get some turkey hunting videos from you this spring!
Thanks! We'll see they are difficult to film and usually don't do as well on the channel. So it's hard to invest the editing time in them. Its not out of the question though you might see one!
Loved the video Jesse! Keep them comming and flies you sent look awesome. Well done Sir. Thank you. ;)
Thanks, will do! Great to hear you liked them hope you get to fish them soon
I have the same problem with cold hands and feet due to skiing:)
I'm sure there are several of us out there with the same problem. I still love skiing! Need to have something to do during the long Maine winters!
Love the simple setup of your truck camper and enjoy your video. Looking forward for the start of my season, hopefully the price of the fuel will go down cause it will limit my traveling.
Me too its far more functional for everyday use than my last one. You and me both! Costs me about 120-130 to fill my 32 gallon tank 🤦🏼♂️
I have yet to catch my first spring trout but havnt had a chance to try my honey holes yet. Can’t wait to see what you get into this year on your adventures
Well I hope you get to catch one soon. The season is only picking up from here! Good luck!

Definitely on the list! I need to spend more time out that way
@@MainelyOutDoors You get down that way Jesse, let me know and I will meet up with you and show you some area. I love the Rapid and hit it every year

Love it man! Great video! Come to CA
First like first comment. Fellow Mainah’ here. 👊🏼👊🏼🎣🎣
Thanks for watching Derick! Glad you liked it!

Thanks! Already did! You can check it the full build right here ua-cam.com/video/7g0RaXXmQds/v-deo.html
Nice setup Jesse! You’ll have to get yourself one of the tailgate shocks made by DeeZee. Really enjoying your content!
Thanks for mentioning that! I didn’t know about that product until now but it was one of the first things that I realized I’d need to find a solution to during my trip
You should always carry some Jack Links Jerky in case you run into Sasquatch 👍🏼👊🏼🦖🍺
Never know what you will run into in the north Maine woods
😂 I’ll add it to the kit
Come to Arizona. Nothing like it.
Nice video!
Thanks!
What type of heater is that & where did you get it from...eBay...Amazon?
Thing is sweet bud! Just to bad it’s now a Ford lol great videos.
😂🤣 what should the next one be
Hey Jesse i can't wait to come up and fish your flies! Hopefully we can hook up together!
Glad you like them Ron! Hope to see you up in Maine soon. Fishing should be picking up in the next few weeks!
salmon?
Yup these were all Land Locked Salmon the Maine state fish
Wait.....they un thaw? Or do they thaw? I’m just giving you a hard time.....I honestly don’t care 🤷🏼 it just proves I’m paying attention
* however I’m pretty sure Charlie Berens says that’s how midwesterners say it...
Hmm that’s a good point! never really thought about that for some reason that’s just how people say it where I’m from I guess
If you don’t wanna get stuck, why’d you buy a Ford? 🤣🤣👊🏼I’m kidding again
😂😂🤣
I actually am disappointed with the new build. Nothing special or personal at all. Sorry but a used fold down slide in would be better even add weight for traction and take it out when not in use and there is your daily driver
