Looking at the challenges in the description, and I think that if one character can survive double Ereshkigal crit without stat boosters and unpromoted, it's going to be Erk, he can cap res naturally and if he levels hp every time he'll have more than Lucius, Nino and Canas, who are the other potential survivors I could think off, and maybe I'm completely mistaken, but if stat boosters and rng manip is allowed... I've no clue.

I think it's worth mentioning the crit issue. At a glance, Fargus' 15 luck struck me as an issue worth addressing. Fargus has 15 luck, Dorcas has 28 skill. That's a net -1 Crit. S rank in axes gives +5, so we're at +4, and it's possible. Dorcas has Fire Support type, Oswin has Anima. They both give +.5 Mt/level. With both at Level A, that's +3 total. Fire support also gives +2.5 crit/level, but Anima doesn't give any. Still, that gives +7.5 for an A level, rounded down to +7. That gives us the final 11 crit seen in the video.
My first time on this chapter it took many many attempts to get through without losing characters. Finally manage to make it to and beat fargus followed by a game over screen. I don’t think I’ve ever finished that profile.
I was able to do this with Guy. With a Killing Edge, and ability to double, his strength didn't require too much for him to be able to OHKO with a double crit. Though it took an unnecessary amount of restarts because I don't have save states 😢
If you could somehow get a Basilikos, level Raven up and promote him, get him to an S in axes, and get a support that increases damage, he can pull it off also. Sucks you can't do any of that lol. Not enough enemies to get S rank axes (arena can't work since you would use swords), Basilikos comes from the final chapter, and he can only get a C in supports (though I think this is actually enough).
minor correction: the designers didn't beef up fargus's stats; at least not on purpose. if they did, you'd expect to see this in hector hard mode as well. like hhm maxime in battle before dawn, a programming oversight gave ehm fargus 20 levels' worth of hard mode bonuses due to him being flagged internally as a generic enemy instead of a boss and thus being subjected to random growths. i can't actually verify if this is true, but it's the most logical explanation i could find for why eliwood hard mode fargus is so much stronger than hector hard mode fargus. unlike maxime, though, who's a nightmare to deal with in hhm due to the devs fucking up or just not caring, ehm fargus's overinflated stats serve a purpose beyond making your life unfair. you're not supposed to attack fargus since he's the one taking you to the dread isle and you'll get a game over if you piss him off, so giving him stats like this makes the message of "don't fight this guy, you mouth breathing troglodyte" as clear as daylight even to the densest among us.
I’d consider myself an absolute idiot, ESPECIALLY in fire emblem (fuck cog of destiny chapter while I’m at it), but at least I had the sense to TALK to him first time, never considered at all attacking. It seems the vast majority of FE players don’t care about the story, interesting as it is, and this is the game’s way of punishing players who don’t pay attention. It’s why I don’t really feel that bad for players who do this. Most times I feel awful for them, understanding how painful that must be, but here I don’t, because that’s their fault for not paying attention.

Zoruastrianism Nope, impossible. HHM Uhai has 27 speed, to double him we will need 31 speed. No one can reach 31 speed in the game as you don't allow stat-boosting weapons (the only weapon being the uber spear). Supports doesn't boost speed, so no point having them in the first place.

I remember the last time I played my GBA cartridge of FE I beat Fargus because I wanted the XP in HHM. I had perfectly arena grinded and was feeling myself and figured I could snag another level. Only to be met with the fucking Game Over theme... Turned that shit off and have never turned it back on lol.
Yeah, finally I can do it to defeat 22 def and 85 HP strongest pre-promoted Fargus in the game.. then the screen turn to be "Game Over" what a uneccesary result it seems with such a huge effort to train Dorcas and Oswin though and supported them in three previous chapter leading to it.
My favorite is when you kill him and get a level up when you kill him and it plays the game over music the entire time.

Fargus DEFINATLY should have been recruitable, say when you go to the Dread Isle the 2nd time for instance. He could have joined around then.

Dorcas is unstoppable. If you kill him in Lyn’s story (hard mode): he comes back in Eliwood’s story like nothing happened.
