  • Come along for another busy week in my life in NYC! Come along for a few days with me as I share my toddler’s current routine, take you behind the scenes of a photoshoot (and style my outfit for it), do a massive meal prep for my family, and get ready for a moms’ night out!
    CHAPTERS:
    00:00-02:55 - Milo's nap schedule
    02:56-03:03 - NYC moments
    03:04-03:39 - cute dad + son moment
03:40-04:30 - meal time with Milo
    03:15-06:52 - outfit styling
06:53-07:41 - on set at the photoshoot
    07:42-11:58 - meal prepping
    11:59-14:59 - GRWM + how I made mom friends
15:00-17:06 - the hardest part about motherhood according to 16 new moms
At the beginning of this vlog, I'm doing a little speed cleaning in the kitchen as I tell you about Milo's new schedule after his sleep transition (+ how our family is navigating the change of dropping his second nap). In an effort to prevent him from falling asleep too early or getting super fussy, I’ve been trying to pack his mornings full of activities and playdates...things to attempt to keep him stimulated. This particular morning didn’t go as planned, so I had to pivot and come up with a new plan. Managing schedules is such a big part of motherhood, so this is a realistic glimpse into a day in the life of a mom - as well as a toddler morning routine!
The next day, I turned the camera on and filmed a portion of Milo’s breakfast. You can see how we communicate with sign language to try and eliminate some of Milo’s frustration as he is attempting to express his wants during mealtime. I just filmed a whole video on using sign language with a baby, so if you’re interested in learning more, you can watch that video here.
How I taught my 1 year old sign language: • How we taught our baby...
Also, if you’re interested in what my toddler eats in a day or in coming up with some toddler food ideas, I share more about what we eat a typical week later in the vlog.
The vlog gets extra fun when, the next day, I get to try on a new outfit that I bought for an upcoming photoshoot.
The final shoot was for New York Family Magazine and the piece is out now. You can check it out here: issuu.com/schnepmedia/docs/20...
After the photoshoot, I got back into my typical routine and started a massive meal prep to get our family ready for the week. I go over each of the dishes I’m preparing and how I plan to use them - mix-n-match meal prep is my favorite way to do it! This has been a total game-changer for me as a mom. I find that it’s easier to make your healthy meal ideas actually happen when you have a designated time set aside for weekly meal prep. I not only share what we’re eating for a week as a family, but also some toddler food ideas - hint: waffle EVERYTHING! Consider this portion of the vlog a meal prep for moms!
Continuing on the topic of game-changing hacks for moms, in the last few minutes of the video, I take you along as I get ready for a moms' night out and talk about how forming a group of mom friends is everything. If you’re looking for ideas for how to make mom friends, you have to watch this half of the vlog!
When I first had Milo, I didn't know many other women around my age with kids in my area of the city, but after I reached out to the few people I did know who had kids already, we started a habit of getting together regularly and the group has expanded from there through friends of friends. Let me tell you: this has made the biggest difference in my overall wellbeing. I can truly say that I now understand the importance of making friends that are in the same stage of life as you. Motherhood can feel lonely and isolating, so there’s something incredibly comforting about knowing that there are other people who are going through the same thing you’re going through, at the same time.
I close out the vlog with a video I recorded with my friends at our moms' night out. We each share some motherhood struggles and talk about the weight of motherhood. If you’re a first-time mom, I’m sure you can relate to at least a few of these!
I hope you enjoyed this look into a week in the life of a NYC mom!

I love these kinds of videos! I feel like I often watch stuff when im just cleaning or doing stuff around the house, and the casual content of you doing the same is kind of like we're just hanging out! hahaha maybe that's weird but there's no pressure to do anything fancy

Love the Hardest part about motherhood montage! I feel like sometimes we over hype becoming a mom and not alot of people speak the truth about how difficult it is. For someone that's 29 and doesn't have a baby yet, but some day wishes to have one, I love seeing truthful content about motherhood, I feel like it prepares me to the reality instead of just seeing unrealistic insta photos on how wonderful everything seems to be.

See I'm the opposite and feel like there is so much spoken about how hard it is that it's totally put me off having kids...

BRB crying over the last clip. I’m a new mom, moved from NYC to Austin and ahhh! There have been SO many changes at once. It’s always good to hear that other women feel the same way, even though it’s tough.

During the photoshoot when you were smiling and laughing, it reminded me of the Refinery29 days for some reason! Maybe it's the styling and makeup

Such an amazing video! I had my daughter in May and couldn’t agree more with all those amazingly beautiful moms. Thank you for doing that and including it. It feels good to be seen like that.

Love the semi-chaotic apartment mom energy. Recommendation: use oil diffuser spray and you just have to buy the regular oil. Lasts muuuch longer.

Hey Luce! Just a quick thing before I watch the video I watched your reel on discovering you new personal style and wondered if you had looked into kibbe body types and colour seasons? I think it might help you and also would make a great video to hear your take on it ☺️

Hi Lucie, I love the meal prep content 😋. My question though is does the food you prep last for 7 days (quantity wise for the 3 of you and freshness wise)? Or do you do a mini mid week refresh? Thank you 🥰

I usually leave enough food in the fridge for about 3 days and then the rest gets frozen!!
