Great tutorial! I find working in lace weight yarn and fine cotton quite fiddly, so I decided to practice with some DK cotton and a 4mm hook before I tried anything finer. I was a couple of feet in when I realised I was making rope. One 50g ball of DK cotton makes a perfect skipping rope, my daughter is very impressed :)
