I have a challenge for you ... make a video where you only use an older camera make it fish eyed, just some real old looking nyc skating content. Street spots only, no parks. make it wholesome take your time make it an art piece. I dont know if youll see this but i think making a 5-10 min video like that would be amazing content.(dont get me wrong i love the content you post now). but this idea just popped into my head let me know if you see this thanks.
Ayden Goldsberry this would be awesome, I would watch.
Yaboiasad preach
Honestly John hill is not an “authentic” skater he skates for the popularity and money not for the history or culture of skating. I don’t know dude personally so I will not judge his character but tbh he could be doing way more content he jus wants that Disney Channel vibe so he can be marketable. At least he practices peace and nun of his videos involve nothing crazy like that.
You should check out lurknyc, all their videos are like that
@@Hairlinecityfanaccount Where did you get that idea?
5:55 every time he lands the board it on beat. Just thought that was dope
I appreciate the fact that your the music is hits in perfectly when you land a trick.
Right!?!?! That was dope! Prolly my fav part of the vid. Hahahahaha
That was crazy
Best tip for editing skate vids
You are not the talentless writer.
Yeah even in every time dumbass and don’t put any input or anyone else bc I know that y’all are
John:
*hits dog with board* sorry!!!!
Lady:
It's alright it's not my dog.

The first skatepark you showed being "the worst" is literally a few blocks away from my old neighborhood and was like the first skatepark I ever went to 😢
That looked like an awesome first skatepark
yo which one is is im tryna find new ones in the city all the time
Scourge he later said it was a joke and he liked it
I would skate that park all day lol
Can we take a moment to appreciate the perfectly timed landings at the end of the video?
When someone with a scooter says a skatepark is bad, that's when you know it's really bad.
You mean to say that people with scooter have lower standards then skate boarders ?
Wtf
Dam
So deep
Timochat yes.
@@stacczk7182 Sorry but scooters are as hard to trick as skates, it's like snowboards and skiis, same terrain, different way of going downhill but both are respectable
Timochat keep telling your self that bud
Builder: alright so how many ramps do you want?
Non skating skatepark owner: Yes
Probably
Me, a city official with a background in skating.
Them, after finishing the park.
Me. This isnt a park, its 2 ledges, 2 ramps and a rail.

Better than 90% of the parks ive skated in the uk😂😂
I've got to agree with you there, I'm watching this video wishing they actually built skatepark's like this in the UK
So tru tho
Bad skatepark is better than no skatepark. I remember we used the top floor of a car park, and some bits of wood and a scaffolding pole someone stole propped on a breeze block. The police came and stopped us all the time, harassed us. That took me 45 minutes to get to in suburban London.
It's better than any park I have ever seen in Germany (I think there are a few great parks in the maior city's but I'm from a small town).
Do your parks also have these weird halfpipes that are like 4 meters by 4 meters?
Trekki200 I live in Italy and there is an half pipe made out of metal and it almost looks like a quarter pipe
It takes me like 15 minutes to skate to the second park in the video from my house. The box is the only good thing that happened. When I watched your worst rated skate park in nyc video, I was really surprised it wasn’t that park. There’s a flat ground lot with a sketchy 5 stair set a block from my house, skating there and occasionally finding out someone brought the box or the rail (or both) is way more fun than going all the way to the park in this video 😂 just ten skaters there at a time and that makes it super crowded
I love how you pointed out if it was a street spot people would love it.
Yeah its true
My favorite part is that he works so well with a scooter Rider and they are friends and it's super dope. That's all lol
WHEN WORLDS COLLIDE
Men i m from Morocco and exactly from oujda city and this is 2019 and no skate park there 😂😂😂😂 if we see a skate park like this one is a heaven
Am from Zambia and that's what I was saying
At least you have skate parks ; (
The nearest skate park to my house costs about 30 usd per hour
THE Mobile Pro dang dude feel for you my country has free pro skateparks
@@matiss1456 in 15km radius there is only 1 skatepark And it's Crap And it's broken
The nearest skateparks is around 30 km to 50 km away from my house. :(
All the landing sounds align almost perfectly with beats 2 and 4 of the music, so satisfying
I love how you incorporate scooters too in your videos. Skateboarding and scooting both require skill and are both steezy sports.
Not as steezy as skateboarding.
na scooters are shitty
Except it’s a lot easier to ride a scooter I used to ride a scooter and now I skate I can promise skateboarding is 10 times harder than riding some dumb shit scooter it’s soooo easy
@@vno23 why are you riding a skateboard they're so easy compared to a unicycle which require more skill so they're obviously better.
Oh yeah? Well I ripstick on my hands.
How you doing John I wanted to ask you would you like skateboarding in the Olympics
I know I'm lovin it.
It’s already in it
X games
god modz yeah! I think it’s interesting
Next year skatebiard is comin to olympics
columbia actually has some good skateparks now
Columbia sc?
Danny J yeah
I love how you put so much effort and detail into your videos that in all of the different sessions, you match the beat of a song to when your board makes contact with the ground or the finish of a certain trick. Amazing
anyone else notice that he synced up the music to whenever he lands a trick???? like that’s sooooo satisfying 🤤
I really love how you edited this with interjecting thoughts! Great vibes
HI! you're chill. Hope ya see this. thanks for inspiring me to keep skating!
did anyone else notice at 5:58 that the skateboard landing matches with the background song drum
Okay I gotta say I really love the last lil bit around 6 minutes in, the sync of the music and the slaps of the board are fuckin PERFECT
Used to skate that last park everyday back in queens
Those parks in this video still look really fun. Skateboarding is about getting creative and making yourself happy. We don't always need the best stuff to ride on to make the most enjoyable sessions.
You inspired me to start skating good job and keep up the work!
Jude Morell woman can’t do sports
@@atrocious6139 not sure if that's a joke or not, but yes they can, especially skateboarding, which doesn't require a whole lot of physical strength.
Potato Tactics Are you implying that women have less physical strength and skateboarding does kind of require a lot of physical strength like you need strength to flick your kickflips hard and to scoop hard for three flips and it helps a lot to have a strong core for balancing manuals. I'm not trying arguing with you just my opinion you're welcome to disagree
Larz Ostrander women don’t have as much physical strength as men and should remain doing dishes
@@larzostrander2233 you're not wrong, but it's not a sport that requires more strength than the average fit person has, including women
The cypress hill one is like less than 15 minute skate form my house! Hope to see you around!
These arent even bad you should see what my local park looks like😂😂🙃 nice video as always! Keep it up🤘
Elias Vandekerckhove what’s your local called
I appreciate how all the clips in the ending montage were in sync with the beat of the song
OMG i love what you do with the sound during those Instagram tricks🤩 how It matches the beat😱🤗
I wish I had these parks within even a 20 minute drive, I’d kill for these parks to be around me.
I fell sorry for you
Poop Hahahaha me tol
I absolutely love how the tricks match up with the music at the end
my park is much worse XD
Edited: my has 2 two foot wedge ramps with a picnic table in the middle
with two very small manual pads im talking 1x3 ft each and two basketball hoops on each side
Who the hell approved that disaster
Mine only is for bikes
@@tripwire3992 like only bikes because the bikers have taken over or because it's against the rules for anything other than a bike?
2:20 i can't stop thinking about this as pixielocks' background music lol
I appreciate that you perfectly synced the music with when the skateboard hits the ground!!!
I love that you have a filmer/friend who is a scooterer and you don't immediately hate him for that without getting to know him unlike lots of other skaters
Love the synchronized crashes of the board with the music. It's so satisfying! Keep killing it!
The syncing is unbelievable. Its too satisfying
not only do i like the music but i like his merch- much more refined and streamlined designs than most youtuber skater merch
I've noticed something - you make Skating look really easy and relaxed from most of what I have seen you do.
Guy who does shirts for a living- careful ironing decorations on tshirts.
Screen print ink can usually hold up fine but there are transfer method decorating techniques that have a similar appearence to screenprint that do not.
Iron on a low setting, inside out.
Also, awesome video as always.
You're killing it, John. Badly designed skateparks should be an issue for a street-style skater like you. Keep killing it!
Hey John Hill can you please review like sponsor tapes and stuff and Street parts and make progress daily grip tape and boards
I thought the first park look familiar.. Then boom! JON REYES Appears. Childhood Hero
Yeeeeehaw skaters and scooterers UNITE! Tired of seeing my fellow skaters hate on people with just as much passion and drive as ourselves
The last two tricks with the John's is sick. They just look so smooth and clean despite being so stationary.
I even saw a "skatepark" that was worse. In Italy, on a camping ground. It wasn't even on the map or mentioned in the brochure, and more like a parking lot, similar setup to the quarterpipe+bank in the beginning of the video, just that there was only one roundbar on one side and a half "funbox" on the other in between them, distance from the bottom of the ramps about 6-8 feet to the funbox/roundbar. Also obstacles made from concrete but asphalt on the ground. Coping on the quarter made from stainless steel and much too thick and standing out. 10 feet wide, 30-35 feet long area. Too bad i didn't take some pics but i didn't even really skate that thing.
I'd honestly be really happy if I had either of those skateparks in my town
The quarters in park #2 remind me of tiny versions of some of the quarters at the Louisville KY skatepark.
Lovin the high octane music in the first montage!
I literately live 2 blocks away from the second park, the locals call it 127. The real highlight of the park is really the ledge it’s really the only thing people skate in that park. It really is perfect for learning new tricks. It’s not much but I’m still very grateful to have it around. Anyone looking for the spot it’s by LaGuardia airport just search up a school called p.s.127
I generally hate scooters but bro... 2:17 was sick. And props for giiving the guy some airtime.
Forau DNB I mean they are friends so why wouldn’t he
@@guledhashi3537 a fair few skaters on youtube seem to not really like to show others being good at whatever they do. May be an ego thing? Not hating on anyone.. just an observation :)
the insta clips with that song and editing at the end best part of the video good work homie keep killing it
The basketball courts, skate parks, grass parks lol are what we need over here in London...
I just finished setting up my John hill monster pro model, luv ya work
I like how the tricks synced with the beat
You always land ur tricks on the beat of the music and i love it
Nobody is going to point out that the footage from the end of the video is perfectly in sync with the background music? That was nuts bro
The first 2 could be things schools invest in - small areas for kids to ride at recess or something and relatively inexpensive
I'm really appreciating the fact that he matched the tricks to the beat
Those 2 skateparks are literally walking distance from each other. I so happy they made a skatepark by my old school. Can wait to get back to New York!
The end where the skateboard sound is synced with the music is so satisfying
Jon Reyes the OG
You set up really good shots
GoogleMaps the Yuba City, CA skate park (806 Gray Ave., 95991). It's one of those parks that was built in the '90s by people who didn't skate. For example, when they built the bowls, they built actual bowls instead of skateable pools. Jerry Gurney did a part there, though, since he's a local.
I do more biking than skating now and that last park looks awesome for trials/mtb street riding.
"bad" skateparks are often more fun cause you can let your creativity run wild :D
Dude I love how in the end every landing is on beat
I love the fact u ride with Jon, most skaters will disagree with you for riding with a scooterer
Halfcab front smith shuv was actually 🔥
John rules. Keep up the killer content, it gets me stoked for skating!
Grampa Poppa Pump in the back getting his reps in at 1:29 lol
"In the world" ha
There's a park near me with a quarter pipe with 5 foot of flat ground then drop to grass 😅
Grier M wtf lol
1:40 as an aggressive blader I'd love this park! Two quarter pipes and banks in the middle. 180 air and grind 180 air and grind over and over
Love how Jon puts so much effort into filming for john
The way you edit the landing of the trick in time with the beat of the music is satisfying
Hey John I wanted to tell you that I just recently got myself a skate board after watching your videos for a couple of weeks and you and some other youtubers have inspired me to skate
First time ever seen a scooter and a skater chill together
I wish I even had those in my town :/ All I have a faily big bowl not great for a beginner plus it's quite hidden behind houses and a woods and sometimes it gets ruined by people throwing trash in it and once I even had to clean it up with a friend since a group of teenagers from my school actually decided to make a fire inside the bowl
At least you got a park XD
Love u john can u make a video of the new ramps at Maloof skatepark at NYC
Coming out Thursday!!
Thx
I might see u since I'm going to flushing
If u can go around 12 not to push u thought
Bruh that grind to tailwhip looked so smooth
That scooter guy can grind pretty good dough
I cannot wait for the merch omfg omfg
I love how when you land the trick it perfectly aligned with the beat of the music
Good video and I just love it when you take it about bad skateparks.👍👍👍
where i live there’s is absolutely terrible the ramps are closer than the first one and the only good one on the island is paid for so i’ve never got into skateboarding and kind of wish i had learnt already but might try and get better this summer. as i’ve been binging these skateboarding videos
great content man
The little quarter pipe park was dope I’d love to session back and forth all day on those boxes
I noticed right away that they never have the concept of a line how you can keep going without having to push much, if at all, if you take the right lines you can just go up and down ramps you can hit those rails, you can do whatever the f*** you want if you keep pumping on the right lines the feeling is absolutely incredible when you hit those right lines and everything is flawless. Some of these guys don't know what the f*** they're doing or thinking while designing these parks
The fact that the music and the tricks are synced 😍
love that last edit, the music is right on time!
I like that the ending Montage was on beat every time he landed
It’s so cute that a skateboarder and a scooter is getting along
The first little park was actually really cool, because it was just a sport complex with a couple skate obstacles that actually looked pretty fun for a small sesh, so it’s cool that they added anything there, but the second small park, that was weird as hell and an of use of space, Still looked kinda fun tho
Thats last part whit the tricks synced to the music was sick
Our skateparks ground is like concrete mixed with small pebbles and the ramps are falling apart and are rusty and rotten from a flood a few years back and it’s really built for scooters mor than anything
The end was satisfying to watch
Great tricks and fantastic editing, props for sure !!
Ida been stoked to have any of these parks in my home town
