I really like 576. I've been around it since i was a child at centennial park where it used to sit. I walked all the way with it when they moved it down a busy road (dont know the name of the road but considering how many "old hickory"s there are its probably that). Just a few days ago i got to see it again all taken appart. I was there at the time it was sitting at union station too so im in that video.
Is this taken at the Train Museum? I was just staying in Lebanon last weekend. Spent a an afternoon in Smyrna on CSX. Going back in June. Scouting New Railfaning spots.
A close second would be CP Amqui in Madison, TN (on the north side of Nashville). It is where the Henderson Sub and the old L & N Main Stem come together. The line from there to CP Maplewood sees 30-50 trains a day.
On the former N&E now owned by RJ Corman line, the TN central railway museum does multiple excursions through the year from nashville to east TN. I believe they even are installing a round house at one of the stops for it. Its the same line the commuter train nashville star uses.
at the beginning of the video you showed a couple of trains with BNSF engines, where they on CSX tracks or where you on their mainline? How far way is CSX’s main freight yard from where you were filming in downtown? thanks
Love the thumbnail picture, CSX gang
A lot of interesting locations

I'm glad they were able to move 576 to union station and the whilst sound weird but awesome at the same time :)
Woah, whats up with that 576 NC&STL unit? It wasn't like that before
It was just a patch job for the 576 event. It was renumbered shortly after the event.

This was taken at Nashville Union Station in downtown Nashville, Tennessee. The Station is now a Hotel but they're railfan friendly.
Cool stuff! Where is the best action to railfan in Nashville in terms of total action?
Down there by Union station is the best spot.
Figured as such, thanks for clarifying that!

It's kinda weird to see CSX helping to restore NC&STL 576..............if it does get restored and pull excursions, where the even take place?

BNSF trains where on the Norfolk Southern Memphis District in Huntsville Alabama.
OK, thanks that makes sense; I have seen their engines deep in CSX’s territory in upstate New York where they are operated by CSX personal
