    Ms. Geesje, if you haven't watched anyone else's videos of how to do this, you should. I know they mean well and they are showing "their way", but how simple you made it! Thank you so much for being so straightforward and cutting out all the crazy steps and measuring!

    Perfect! I have an envelope punchboard but there are times when you need to figure out for thick things like this! I have made shallow boxes but knowing just how to get it right is not easy. I love your center it and then slide it over a bit - it worked perfectly!

    Dang. Great video, but my card is too big and I don't have any paper large enough to make a square, lol. 🤣🤣🤣

    • @geesjebaron
      @geesjebaron  2 роки тому +2

      Oh my! But, you can buy bigger paper at a home office supply store, hurray!! 😀
      OR, glue two pieces together, and place the card so the seam is where the flap hinges?
      Or make the flap of a different colour? There are so many ways to make an envelope!!😊
      Have a great weekend!

    I decided to add a gift card with 'Do Not Open Till Christmas' to a Christmas card, and needed them to be separate so she could see the card itself right away. Found your video, and now the gift card is nestled in its own little envelope....thank you for that! I like videos that get right down to the teaching, without competing music. Looking forward to watching more of yours. Merry Christmas!!

    This tutorial is wonderfully easy! Thank you! I have one question- what is the best paper weight for envelopes for cards? Thank you!

    • @geesjebaron
      @geesjebaron  5 місяців тому +1

      Hi, I mostly use regular copy paper, which is usually 20lb, but if you want a bit more weight to it I recommend a 24lb paper, it gives it a bit more body and feels a bit more professional. If you want to go all out, you could use a 28lb paper.
      You'd have to shop around for it, as I don't know if a Staples kind of store carries that. But then there is the internet...🙂🙂
      Hope this helps and have a great day!!

      You then need to start with a larger piece of paper, say the 11 by 17 size, it might just fit, and you probably can get this paper at any office depot. Or you can use a 12 by 12 scrap book paper. Thanks for stopping by!
