For an 8.5 X 5.5 half fold card you will need 11"x11" paper and you will need to cut out the corners

Thank You! Just made a printable customized card, but needed an evelope. I trimmed the card edges, then used your folding method.
Only thing I would do different is leave just a tad bit of space so the card isn't quite so right

Ok so I've tried 9 x 9, 9 x 12, 12 x 12 and 10 x 10 and so far nothing works. Wondering exactly what size measurements your original paper was?

What is the size of the construction paper? You can't make an envelope of size 8.5 x 5.5 inches from an 8.5 x 11 inch piece of paper.

Correct, the 8.5 x 11 paper is not large enough. Guessing she is using 9 x 12 construction paper; important detail to be leaving out of the video.

That's what happened to me this lady doesn't specify, causing me to waste two papers.
It tuens out to be 10 x 10 inch cut out. You need to get a square shaped layout.

What size construction paper?
We can't make your project if you don't say the size of paper, is it 8x11, is it A4 paper.

When u fold this card it’s more like 41/2 x51/4 when you make homemade cards they are 5.5x8.5 this doesn’t work for folded cards

What the heck is construction paper? I tried with a4 and it has not worked. Ugh
What do you use to seal up the envelope for ones that are to be sealed up later? Like if I sell a card and envelope that I made, to someone, what would I use on it, so that they can seal it up when they're ready to give the card away? Is there a glue like the glue they use on store bought envelopes that you just wet and stick when ready to?
No punch boards, scoreboards, imagine that lol
