One way of assessing how big a square of paper to use for the second envelope with irregular sized cards, is to measure the diagonal of the card and to add 2.5 cms (1”). eg if the card is 18 x 10.5 cms (7” x 4” approx) the diagonal measures 20cms (8”). Add 2.5 cms (1”) and the paper for the envelope needs to be 20 + 2.5 (8” + 1”) - therefore 22.5 cm square (9” square).
I too have been making my own cards but never really made my own envelopes. These two are so pretty, easy enough to make too. Thanks so much for sharing! Have a blessed day!
I also found a new technique for making the fold creases. I use an old triangular architects scale and a bone folder to crease with instead of a flat ruler. It's works really well😀
I've bought 2 creasing boards on Amazon the last couple of months neither one gave the results I wanted. I'm working with 8.5x11 card stock and 24# copy paper. I really don't want to invest in specialty craft papers, so I improvise instead as you doing😀
Thank you very much. I really like the liners in the envelopes. It just makes it look so much nicer. You’re very clear and concise in your explanation. Thank you.
I got the paper on Amazon. It's a 120gsm paper - that is what I looked for on Amazon (this should be around 44lb in the US). I bought once envelopes that were that weight and that's why I try look for something similar. You want light weight paper so you can fold it easy. Pattern papers are great for this as well.
Very good 👍🏽, thank you ☺

Thanks! Great tip. Will try that for sure 😊
I found so much value in the fact you added two different envelope styles and also the decorating touch with the accent paper inside! 🤩😍
That's great. I'm happy that the video was useful to you. 😊

Sounds great. There are many ways you can create those folds. I just didn't want to buy any new products and use what I already have.
