Strange. I have the US version with the same volume issues but only had that warning a few times.

Indeed it may be down to the fact I have the volume quite high as I am typically moving between rooms in the house and the Bose Bluetooth speakers required the Walkman volume to be cranked up. It was shutting down at least once a day. The Pebble/Linkfor combination works well for me with the Walkman volume set at 80. Another 'cause' in my case may because I am now only playing music downloaded from Deezer and the volume/db volume between tracks is definitely not consistent. These are just suspicions and I am not able to test them...

Shame on you Sony. We are adults. $350 and it behaves like a fisher price kids toy in how it is capped.

It is not really Sony's fault as they are simply complying with regional laws. I agree that these regional laws treat us as if we are incapable of making our own choices. It is a shame Sony cannot add an option to switch off all volume limits.
