Abby finally unlocked a new dimension of the Catherine De Medici Time Travelling Society.
This is fantastic! Aside from all the other compliments, I’ll add that it was interesting to see 3 outfits from the 1700s all right next to each other on 3 women who, although they are clearly all different individuals, have a similar body types and we can see how the silhouettes changed in this 20 year time period.
Abby's acting skills are just superb i want her as a gameshow host! loved the usual mix of fashion history comedy and chaos!
We must protect flora at all costs! Bless her, she reminds me of when an 5 year old is trying to get your attention and then tells you a story that is nonsensical. 😂
Flora is the definitive "well bless her heart" person. She was quite adept in avoiding the whole riotous revolutionary thing going in Paris. This video provided information, provoked laughter and gave reddit execs a ... in the .... Excellent direction and editing with the sight lines being on point. I love how unhinged this slowly became when Frances wasn't the one talking. Frances brought it back to a mangable level, and then right back to the chaos when the other two responded xD.

I love it!!! I needed the laugh. Especially since I have used a pair of opera length kid gloves to whap someone. I was giving a historical recitation for a church group in full costume and a "gentleman" can up to me afterward and told me he really enjoyed my cupcakes. Being a bit Flora at the moment, I thought, I didn't make cupcakes for this occasion??? Then it hit me, he was talking about my boobies, and that's when I hit him. I'm telling you, that extra length from an above the elbow opera glove, really does make all the difference. 😁
I don't know why but Flora seems like one of those ladies who likes to have a macaroni best friend around. It just feels right! Of all the three, I quite like Francesca for her Sense and Sensibility, and Fanny keepin' it real.

I absolutely LOVE your clever and funny videos. You are wonderful. I really appreciate the clever nuances that you attached to the 3 women panelists (Flora speaking a little girl voice and her ideal is Marie Antoinette - which I believe were both true for women prior to the French Revolution ). The laundress' burp was better than a thousand words. Also, as a student of English, I'm aware that the laundress (being descended from Non-Norman invaders, would still be speaking a language almost unintelligible to Flora and us.

Advice from 1700s century Spain to the lady who wants to wear black: import a mantilla and basquiña overskirt and wear them over your gowns while you go visiting your acquaintances (bonus if you add a black "caramba" or huge cockade style ribbon on your head, and black fringe or tassels sewn on your basquiña). Then you can practice a "lo siento, no hablo inglés" if somebody asks you for your outfit.
In Spain, black is always in fashion!
