Thanks for sharing the ups and downs. We're in our second winter in our yurt; cold air condensing at the top of our drip edge is an issue in some spots for us, even after adding weather stripping to try and close the air gap between the drip edge and the side fabric. Our drip edge is doing very well though, if you want to consider the product we used, we did Hardie Plank siding (a cement product, which may be a deal breaker if you don't want to use anything cement, but it is water proof, which I think is a huge advantage for specifically the drip edge).
