I spent some time in Mongolia and saw yurts being moved and refreshed. They all had large pieces of plastic as one of the layers. They usually lay down large sheets of linoleum for the floor, that they roll up to move. An important part is the sheets of felt, which I saw them making by rolling log-like things behind horses to compact the wool. You should go to Mongolia. The people are fascinating and absurdly kind. They are also, surprisingly, more connected to their phones than just about anyone I’ve ever met. They’ll be herding camels and be bent over their phones.

The area you're in looks almost exactly like where I live in the Pacific Northwest, Washington, United States. Same lush and wet look. I'm glad to know that yurts can work in areas where the rain and humidity are high, not just in arid climates.

Could you connect it to another yurt and have a bathroom and laundry room?

    Of course it's a newage-hippie looking person.
