    I just tried your technique.
    I wish I knew this before.
    It is great. You can adjust it anytime and remove it if needed.

      Thank you for this. It really helped me puppy proof our deck railing. Man, I learned right away how sharp the wire edges are - ouch.

    Genius! I'm building some bird pens for my pheasants and this will help a ton. What wire did you use for the cross bracing? It's pretty neat and adds stability.

    • @TysonHoneyFarm
      @TysonHoneyFarm  Місяць тому +1

      Galvanized electric fence wire, 12 guage, I think? But anything similar would work. Use what you got, or can find a good deal on, farmings expensive enough, save money where you can. Thanks!

    Is the whole 2x4 structure just sits on the ground or is it affixed to the ground in some way?

    What is the wire that is running diagonally?

    • @TysonHoneyFarm
      @TysonHoneyFarm  7 місяців тому +1

      That is for diagonal bracing to hold the frame square. It is galvanized electric fence wire, I think 12 guage. You can use anything similar. Or wood slats , but wire is lighter.

    • @johnbryan2414
      @johnbryan2414 4 місяці тому

      Ya I was going to sat to shore up the framing and was probably put on before the chicken wire. If it isn't square, it will square it by tightening the right end.

    Question I put some chicken wire around my ac that’s goes on the floor of the outside of my house what screws or nails do I use to go into the stucco on my house to hold the chicken wire

    • @TysonHoneyFarm
      @TysonHoneyFarm  4 місяці тому

      @AnnoyedCricketHelmet-em5ix if it's masonry behind the stucco, use tapcon or a masonry anchor screw. If it's wood frame, use wood screw. But I would screw a treated 2 x 4 to the stucco and then attach wire to the 2 x 4

    How far apart are your roofing nails?

    • @TysonHoneyFarm
      @TysonHoneyFarm  6 місяців тому +1

      The nails are approximately 8 to 10 inches apart.

    • @valeriedalton6066

      One more question. How much of a vertical stretch can you get? Looks like you are stretching down about an inch or 1 1/2”?

    I am building a box 2×2×4' so I can cover my strawberries. I'm not sure what is eating them, as it happens at night. There are opposums, raccoons, skunks, and my least favorite rats. There are also birds but I doubt they are doing it at night. Something has also sheared off all the leaves on my potato plants like they were cut with a razor at an angle. That kind of biting of plants I've never seen before. I don't know about opossum teeth but if rats are doing it they must be sharpening their teeth during the day. It looks as if someone took cuttings but that's impossible

    • @TysonHoneyFarm
      @TysonHoneyFarm  Місяць тому

      On the strawberries, slugs, roaches and bugs like them. What about cut worms on the potato plants? Pyrethrin is a natural bug killer, look into it. Good luck.
