    Jewish men married European women a thousand years ago to create the Ashkenazi and Sephardi a long time ago. No one complains. But when Jewish men married with Ethiopians, and Ethiopian Jews were created, people question the validity of their Jewish identity? Like, cmon now.

      I am far from an expert but in Ethiopia in some cases the Jewish religion is mixed up with other religions . They were persecuted and adopted other religions in part. Christians tried converting some. Over the hundreds of years you can imagine the dilution. In some cases there are no Rabbis . Thats why there were questions. I also think in some cases not all There DNA matches other Jews. Just on a side note I don't think there is an example of a country accepting as large of a minority as Israel.

      ethiopian jews had different culture and religion rules than the western jews. ethiopian used to believe that the "beit ha mikdash" the holiest place for jews is still exist (which is not), therefore they were following religious rules that used to be part of when beit ha mikdash was part of the religion. as well as many rules that been add like marry to only one woman and so on. the rabbies had some hard time dealing with those issues and very minority was thinking that ethiopian are not jews anymore and need to convert their way of praying etc

    I'm a Christian Ethiopian and I must say that I find it funny that some Israelis have this doubt about Ethiopian Jews.
    So it's fine to be blond, blue-eyed Jew but somehow, being dark-skin doesn't fit the Jewish profile.. as if Moses and co looked like Britney Spears back in the days LOL.
    Parts of central and northern Ethiopia speak languages with Semitic roots (Amharic, Tingrinya, Guraginga etc) and they have a long cultural and religious connection with the "holy land". Ethiopian Jews are in fact just Ethiopians from Amhara region, who believed in God when Europeans and others had their "ancient Gods" and never converted to Christianity when the majority did so.
    Are there scammers that lied to have a chance to flee to Israel (people always try to go where the grass is greener right), absolutely, but to deny an entire group of people with a long history is just ridiculous.
    Personally, I'm saddened by the fact that Ethiopian Jews left for Israel. They are a crucial part of our long history and it would be nice if they still were part of our multicultural society. But I also understand why they did so, because my parents fled to Sweden during that same time. Ethiopia was under a brutal communist regime, not leaving when if you were given a chance would be a foolish thing to do.
    Anyways, love and respect to all.

      Need more proof that white people can't be true Hebrews?
      scripture tells us that the Hebrews had black hair and that if even one hair turns yellow & thin, that it is the sign of a bad thing. So if the Hebrews had yellow hair, how in the world could the high priest examine their head for yellow hairs to see if they're sick? If the Hebrews woke up with yellow hair, they would have freaked out because they would have thought that they had some kind of illness. Scripture says that if a Hebrew was found with just "one thin yellow hair" it was bad but if the hair was black, then they are 'clean'. So if one thin yellow hair is bad, you can certainly believe that they didn't have a full head of yellow thin hair. see Leviticus 13:30. Yellow (blonde) thin haired (white)people are not Hebrews. Also, everyone knows that the Hebrews originate from a tropical area. White skinned people don't come from hot regions. Moses and the rest of the Hebrews certainly didn't need sunblock all those years walking around in the desert. They had melanin in their skin to protect them. A natural sunblock that causes the skin to be brown. My Messiah also don't need sunblock to protect his skin. Israel now has one of the highest skin cancer rates in the world because the white people that moved there are converts, who don't originate from the land. A true indigenous people would not have this problem in their own native land. Do alligators have a drowning problem in the swamp? Does polar bears have a cold problem in the artic? Do camels have a problem living in the desert? All of these animals do just fine in their natural habitat. And if you are true natives to that land, you should have no problem going outside without getting skin burns and skin cancer, and you shouldn't have to need a bottle of sunblock just to enjoy the outdoors but even that isn't enough to slow down the sky high skin cancer rate in Israel.The bible says that Moses and paul were mistaken for Egyptians. What did the ancient Egyptians look like before Arabs conquered the land? They're black. Google it. Also, the book of Daniel (kjv) clearly states that the Messiah had hair like pure wool and mentions nothing about hair color. Just "pure wool"(Daniel 7:9). What does wooly haired people look like?

    • @greenteayum1690
      @greenteayum1690 9 років тому +7

      The Ashkenzai people are probably connected to other semitic people. Don't forget that Esau and Ishmael was also semitic, children of Abraham. And we know that Esau (Edom) converted to Judaism and started falsely declaring that they were Jews in 110 BC, so I don't question if some of them have some semitic blood in them considering those facts, but they aren't Jacob's (Israel's) children. The very fact that they're over there in the Holy land is because they're riding the wave, claiming that they are "the chosen people of Jacob". So don't say it doesn't really matter if they're converts after all. They got a whole country by claiming that they're the DNA of a family that they don't even belong to.
      Isaiah 44:4- Others will say, 'I am a descendant of Jacob.' Some will write the LORD's name on their hands and will TAKE the name of Israel as their own"

Studies have shown a clear connection between Jews and Samaritans - we are almost identical (at least paternally anyway).
      Interestingly, if you search 'nMonte' on Google, the first website that comes up (should be Eupedia) shows the genetic results of Ashkenazi Jews when using reference populations such as Samaritans and Israeli Arabs. Ashkenazi sample scored 33% Samaritan, 15% Israeli Arab, 30% Tuscan..

I mean, frankly if you come to Ethiopia, it's the ordinary old old old oriental Christians that speak of the felashas as original Jews. Even we, Ethiopian Christians believe that we are Christian converts from Jew in 3rd 4th centuries. Legend has it that there've been Ethiopian Jews since the time of King Solomon in Israel. And even as Christians roughly since 333AD, Ethiopian kings also claimed Solomonic generic root up until the last Emperor of the Solomonic dynasty - Haileselassie I was deposed in 1974. I love all these obscenely racist comments by "anti-Zionists." Of course Ethiopian Jews are Jews just like Ashkenazi, Sephardi, Mizrakhi, Yemenite, and other smaller groups are Jewish. All modern Jews are genetically mixed with people (whether European, East African, Arabian, Persian, Mesopotamian, Berber, etc) so the idea that appearance alone could determine whether someone is a Jew (as in descended from ancient Jews) is absurd and racist.
    I also like how people seem to think that because some Ashkenazi Jews have "white" skin means that all are blonde with blue eyes, and thus no different from Europeans. There have been COUNTLESS genetic studies by ACTUAL scientists showing that Ashkenazi (who are almost identical to Sephardim) are descended from Judean men who married European (mostly southern European) women 1000-2000 years ago. Even the most pathetic attempts to "prove" the Khazar theory have concluded that Ashkenazim are a "mosaic of Near Eastern, European, Caucasus people."
    This also of course ignores the fact that many Ashkenazim are indistinguishable from your typical non-Arabian indigenous Levantine groups, and that many Mizrakhi and Sephardi Jews are "white" as are many Lebanese, Syrians, and Palestinians.
    You racists are so pathetic you just make things up and repeat lies that are easily refutable. You have zero integrity and should be ashamed of yourselves. If you believe in any sort of divine judgment, be sure that you will be judged for you blatant lies and incitement of hate.

      @Saif Center No mate, we are a native people from Judea with our own genetic make up for the most park. Ashkenazim are not "European". They were deported there rather. Yes, some converted from the native population but the majority of jews: Ashkenazim, Sepharad, Mizrachim, etc. are descendants of the ancient Israelites and the Judeans. As are the tribe of Dan like Beta Israelis etc. Hence Ashkenazi and Sephardic jews are more similar to each other than they are to their local non-jewish neighbours, something that should be impossible given how long they been separated.

All of us in my family have different religions, different apparent races, we are still descended from our Sephardi ancestors and my grandmother and mother still made sure to make sure she had fish in a crock pot on Friday to eat on Saturday. I think the issue isn’t so much who’s a real Jew and who isn’t, it’s who looks and acts like the traditionally accepted narrative.

    This is beautiful. Of course most of the people you asked were tan Jews. It would have been interesting to hear what the lighter skinned Jews would say. I think it is incredibly stupid that some Ashkenazi Jews feel superiority because of skin color when they know it is because they married with Europeans. That is like Europeans having babies with native Americans until they are all blonde and blue eyed and raising them in the tribe and then turning around and saying that the dark skinned natives are not as native. At that point they are no longer genetically native Americans anymore no matter if their kids were raised in the legal tribe. Totally stupid and backwards. As a Sephardi Jew I have not wanted to go there because I hate racism and their has been a racist portrayal shown but this has made me think that maybe I do want to visit. Thank you.

"Stinky Russians, go back to Russia, no one wanted you here, you are all thieves and prostitutes". I know three people who killed themselves in their first year in Israel because of the harassment by Moroccans.
      Also, it was mostly rape, not marriage. Your ancestors were raped by Arabs, ours, by Europeans. Which is why you are darker skinned than our shared ancestors, and we are lighter skinned. Nothing to be proud of in either case.
      Anyway, how can you make this stuff up under this video, which has pretty much proven you wrong?

    I find it fascinating that so many Jews seem to be unaware of the fact that conversion to Judaism, and joining the Israelite nation was not only permitted, but encouraged in the Torah when dealing with the regulation for owning and freeing slaves several millennia ago. Joining the nation of Israel is nothing new, as this practice is almost as old as the religion itself, and is ascribed in the Bible. The Canaanite slaves that were not Israelite could convert and receive better treatment from their Jewish masters. Jewish history in Ethiopia is not as shaky as European Jewish history when it comes to the "original bloodline" of the Israelite Nation. What I mean by that is mass conversion to Judaism is very well documented in the Caucasus region. The political elite of the Khazarian Empire Converted to Judaism and encouraged many peasants to do the same. Their is a very high possibility that the son of King Solomon and Queen Sheba started a dynasty that ruled Ethiopia for almost three thousand years. Their is evidence that the Ark of the Covenant is also in Ethiopia. Jewish history with what lie south of the land of Cush (Ethiopia) is documented for over 3,000 years in the Bible alone. Most Ethiopians also speak a Semitic language, this is significant, given that Jews are considered a Semitic people. It might also be worth noting that only Aramaic fragments of the Book of Enoch exist, but the whole book is intact in the now dead Geez Language. The Book of Enoch is referenced in the New Testament, But is only considered scripture to the Ethiopian Orthodox Church. I find this very odd myself.

    The Jews that went there mixed with the locals over time and part of their DNA is with those Ethiopian Jews. There's also those black Africans that claim Jewish descent. They did their DNA and found the males particularly had something in common with the Jewish cohanim (cohen) priests. A Jew can be born a Jew and a Jew can convert. Exodus, Leviticus, Yevemot and Gittin in the Talmud, Mishna Yevamot all talk about how foreigners can convert and even that they have the same law for both the foreigner and Jew in the land.

    Can you make a video of asking non Ashkenazim if they think Ashkenazim are Jewish? Can you ask if Ashkenazim are from 2000 yrs ago or are they Khazar converts as it is documented in The Kitab al Khazar; that the Sephardic taught them how to be and that in Germany they also sent for Sephardic teachers in the past hundred years. Can you ask them about Christian identity and British Isrealism. Can you ask them about the Canaanites and Phoenicians and Germanic peoples.Can you ask them about the Jews in India and what happened when the other Jews arrived. Can you ask them if they think everybody has forgotten the truth?

    • @hfyaer

      No he cannot ask about all the bullshit theories you see on antisemitic channels. He asked this one because it's backed by genetic studies that ethiopian don't share the same DNA as all the other jews but share the same DNA with ethiopian non-jews. All the other groups of jews, including ashkenazis, are genetically closer to one another than they are to any non-jewish group.

As an Israeli I will say the Ethiopians live here they work here they speak the language they serve in the army etc etc and they are just as Israeli as anyone else. Sometimes even more so.

    I don't even understand this question. After over 2000 years in the Diaspora for many of us (2700 for the Ethiopians), of course we would have become lighter or darker depending upon the indigenous peoples we were among and the conditions of the lands we lived in. After 2000+ years of course there are blond Jews and Black Jews.
    As for the Falash Mura: I'm not sure where their loyalties lie. Those where were converted by force and never bought into Christianity are, of course still Jewish. But I suspect there are died in the wool convinced Christians among them too and they work hand in hand with missionaries. Their primary target is Ethiopian Jews. But I trust the Ethiopian Jews to know how to handle that.

    As a West African and devout follower of Traditional African religion, I don't understand why any African or Black person would want to be Jewish or follow any of the Abrahamic religions. However, Black African/Ethopian Jewery is more credible and makes more sense than European Jew. Genetic evidence have shown that a Black tribe in Africa has the ancient and rare paternal priestly class Jewish genes that you will not see in European Jews. A documentary was even made about this..

    Dear Corey, Can yoi ask this question? Do most Israelis religious or not? And if secular whu do they choose to live in a Jewish state

    • @InDeoRideo
      @InDeoRideo 10 років тому +3

      I'm an atheist Jewish Israeli. I'm an atheist because I never believed in any god, but I'm still Jewish ethnically and culturally. It puts me with a great group of people like Einstein, Spinoza, Freud, Carl Sagan, Woody Allen, and almost every Jewish noble prize winner. This is not uncommon, something like half of the Jews in Israel are secular and about 20% are atheists/agnostics. When you hear that Israel is a "Jewish state" or the "home of the Jewish people" it doesn't mean the Jewishness as religious belief, it means Jewishness as an ethnicity, as a group of people with shared history culture and values.

    • @CanZu7
      @CanZu7 10 років тому +1

      InDeoRideo Are atheists and non-believers treated differently in Israel? What do Rabbis think about them?
      As a devoted Muslima I admit that unfortunately most Muslim countries reject or even kill people who have different ideologies.

    • @tr25x
      @tr25x 10 років тому

      Cansu We are not treated differently, and we are the majority in Israel. I for one do not believe in god. One can be secular or religious, no one really cares what you do and practice as long as you don't hurt anybody else in the country. As far as I know there are different rabbis with different views, most of them don't condemn the secular and respect their point of view even if they don't agree with them. But there are extremists everywhere.. lately there are problems between the Arab Christians and the Arab Muslims in Israel. Some of the Israeli Arabs (mostly christian) i know feel more Israeli then Palestinian and want to serve the country and be in the IDF. The Muslim Arabs see them as enemies because of that. I will not lie, there's alot of tension lately in Israel be it religious tension or national tension. Anyhow.. If you are not radical Islamist that want to kill all the kufars you are more then welcome and no one will really care what you do, you can say what ever you want and do what ever yout want according the law. But, people mostly wont like it if you say something they dont like but no one will really hurt you because of your beliefs. Mostly will get mad at you but it's not different than any other western country.

    • @CanZu7
      @CanZu7 10 років тому

      Tomer Rubin Thank you for the reply :)
      If it's true what you say - and I do believe you - the Arab countries could learn a lesson from Israel and how it developed so fast.
      But still, according to your description Israel is still not as tolerant as other Western countries. Here in Germany no one cares what you believe in or even what you say about other religions. Same with all the other European states. But I'm sure Israel is just about to be like that very soon.

    • @rotemsh1
      @rotemsh1 10 років тому

      Cansu no we don't treat different. Actually many of the israelis are not religous, before i joined the army i have never knew a religous jew. All my friend are secular and my dad is an athiest. I dislike the ultra orthodox jews who are very religous and not very helpfull to the state thanx gid they are minority, but other religous jews are fine...they are just like us! In israel we are all equal no matter what u believe or not!

    It is so funny, that nobody mentioned king Solomon and queen Shiva. In the bible it says that she married him, converted and left to her country (today Ethiopia) being pregnant withe a son. The story goes that when her son ascended to throne he converted the whole country and Judaism become the official religion. As well it is believed that The original 10 commandment were gifted to Shiva and are still hidden somewhere in Ethiopia.
