This year as Sigd approaches we explore how this community came to arrive in the state of Israel. It is an incredible story of espionage, heroism and unyielding faith that led to tens of thousands of people leaving their homes and risking their lives. We join both those who were instrumental in the operations themselves and members of the Ethiopian Jewish community to explore how these so-called miraculous events happened and what they mean today.

I am a Christian and would like to testify that Israel has done a greater humanitarian work than any other nation in the history of the world in rescuing those poor Ethiopian jews at that critical time as they did. That was miraculous and shows God's providential finger is in it, and the whole world witnessed it. Viva Israel!!

In Genesis 48:19, it records these words of Jacob-Israel: ". . . he also (Manasseh) shall become a people, and he shall be great: but truly his younger brother (Ephraim) shall be greater than he and his seed shall BECOME A MULTITUDE OF NATIONS." (Emphasis added.)

In other words they are "God's Covenant People." Did you know that the Hebrew word for "Covenant" is "Berith" or "B'rith." (Strong's Concordance, (#1285), the word for "man" in Hebrew is "ish." Put them together and you have the word "B'rith 'ish"...... Abraham was the first "covenant man," and he was "B'rith 'ish" and like it or not, he was the progenitor of our Anglo-Saxon people. You can't change that by any twisting of history or scripture, or by the use of any derogatory terminology. The Word of Almighty God still stands.
A close check of this Covenant will reveal that it is the Divine Charter of the Covenant People, a people whom God ordained to become a nation and then a company of nations (commonwealth) which would never be.

Hebrew , Jews and Israelite are all in the same line of lineage. All Israelites are hebrews. But not all Hebrews are Israelites. Israelites come from the name Israel who is Jacob which the Lord change his name to Israel. Isarel had 12 sons, which make them Israelites. Out of the 12 come Judah. Judah had many sons under his line which would be called Jews (where Jesus come out of).

I worked with a young black Doctor in Botswana. When I asked him what nationality he was he said he was a Jew. Wow I was surprised because I always thought Jews are always white. I was in Addis Abeba doing relief and development work when Operation Solomon began on May 24, 1991. It was surreal to hear the evacuation of the Ethiopian Jews called Beit Jews on BBC and hearing the skirmishes of the rebels and the government soldiers as the bulk of rebel reinforcement was on their way to Addis. Their timely airlift was another evidence of God's grace to His people.
The men here who took an extra step to help those in need are real men! Men of great faith! The world needs such men to save humanity regardless of religion or race!
